My son bought some ringtones, now on his iTunes laptop program, but they
don't sync and move to his iPhone 3GS when he syncs to the laptop. He says all the ringtones are checked off to sync. Any help?
Thanks,
Dick Johnson

Seems to me like having Wifi (Internet), but no 3G (phone, texting).

> The SIMs are tied to the phone numbers that are assigned to the phone!
Correct.
> If he wants to upgrade his 4 then he can't use the 3GS SIM.
> The 4 will still have a SIM that is tied to that number, which means 2 new SIMs versus 1.
If he upgrades the 4 to a 4S, he will have a 4S with a micro-SIM with the phone # from the 4, and a 3GS with a standard SIM with the phone number of the 3GS, which he will then have to upgrade separately.
If he upgrades the 3GS to a 4S, he will have a 4S with a micro-SIM with the phone # that *was* on the standard SIM on the 3GS, and also have the 4 with it's micro-SIM.
Then all he has to do is take the micro-SIMs out of the 4 and the 4S and swap them, and the 4S will ring when someone calls the number that previously was attached to the 4, and the 4 will ring when someone calls the number that was previously attached to the 3GS.

iPod update problem
Posted by: "Nick Kanel" giant.toad@yahoo.com giant.toad

I have an iPod touch 3rd generation and I need to update it to 5.0.1. What I click update, it backs up my iPod but then when it is done with that, it says that an error occurred when it was backing it up. If I click continue, it will remove all data from my iPod, it says. What can I do to get this fixed?
Thanks,
Nick

For the past few days AT&T has had very slow delivery of text
messages for me. I don't know what it is, nor have I heard
anyone else say anything about it. Sorry!

My husband called and asked if I had received his text, which I
have not done. But upper left on my iPhone 4 screen says Searching
.... and I cannot send or receive any text messages. I can get
online, go to the app. store, but no texting. Is this an AT&T
problem?

AT&T doesn't seem to say much about their service unless a lot of people complain. I found I have to call them to get an answer.

No, Charles, it does not turn off the phone, it turns off the voice, data, WiFi, GPS and I believe BlueTooth. So the phone is still on, but all the radio functions are turned off. So you can still listen to music, books, play games, and read email.
Start Safari, and find the last preloaded email, and you will find the manual, or you can read it on your computer from Apple.
I have AT&T and AT&T does not give a warning, but then again I have not used that much data and I have watched movies on the phone.

Isn't there a law now that says cell companies have to give a warning before you go over?

I haven't tried anything else yet as I don't want to have the account deleted from my iPhone 4, iPad 2, iMac or MBA. Any help would be appreciated. The MBP is going to my Dad.
If your Dad has an iCloud account add his and then try removing yours.
