It would, but it puts the iPhone up so high I was afraid it would eventually break the 30-pin connector. Bad work around.

I bought the iCarpus stand which allows me to use my iPhone as an alarm clock! I keep the iPhone charging overnight as it displays the low light clock information and wakes me up.

I decided I didn't need a radio alarm clock anymore since I can do it all with my iPhone.

For speakers I use the Bluetooth connected Jawbone Jambox. You can't get any better than that for sound in a small package.

what happens when you have your phone in a stereo dock and your alarm is set for morning and you happen to receive a text or an alert in the middle of the night? will it mess up the alarm?

Simples really so that you can save a bookmark on the iPhone to show

I disagree.

Reviewing my usage on the AT&T website, I see that since October 2010 I have had one month of 2.5 GB (when I activated HotSpot and "supported" by laptop, and otherwise none as much as 1 GB.

My housemate, who routinely streams radio throughout her 40-hour work week, had ranged from 1.4 to 2.0 GB.

I agree with AT&T that over 3 GB in a month is heavy usage.

No if you has unlimited before you will always be on unlimited, even after you upgrade your iPhone like I do mine yearly. They always verify for me that the unlimited plan is still in tact. In fact they sometimes have to call to their service center to ensure the setting is correct on their end.

You just have to find a competent person at AT&T that knows what they are talking about.

3 gigs a months is pitiful. It's why I turn off data as much as I can. that wouldn't download the books I read a month.

although it may be heavy usage, if you are paying for unlimited
service, then wheres the beef. you have unlimited service. I
have no clue as to what I use at home on my DSL, but since I have
unlimited service, I had better never hear that I am using too
much service. I am paying for it under the terms of the
agreement and AT&T is not giving me a rebate for not using as much
as I need.

A Droid is on Verizon. Their cell tower coverage isnt always the same as AT&T's coverage, and vice versa.

So just because a Droid has good coverage somewhere and the iPhone does not doesn't mean the iPhone is a lemon. That's not a valid statement based on my paragraph 1 above.

I have seen with with my AT&T iPhone and my work Blackberry on Verizon many times.

Oops. I had read the other person's response and didn't realize your iPhone was also with Verizon. Do you have a case on your iPhone? Take it off and try some tests with no cases on to see if reception is comparable to the Droid.

If not, take it back to the Verizon store and complain. See if they will exchange for another one to try before you tell them you are going back to AT&T.
Personally I would go back to what you had with the AT&T microcell box in your house that gave you excellent coverage.

I think my AT&T plan allows me to call any other services cell phones without using minutes. You should have checked into those plan options before switching. But it sounds like maybe you will switch back soho ahead and call now so you know what your options are.

ATT gave me my Microcell for no charge and no rental fee. They have areas that they know have a signal problem and will give you one. I would recommend anyone with this problem go to a ATT store and discuss it with them. I went in to BUY one and they volunteered to give it to me. A threat to change carriers may help also. Just note that it is a 3G device so if you don't have a 3G phone it won't work.

The AT&T Microcell only works with AT&T phones. The only phone carrier
that works in my house is AT&T and that is because of the Microcell. It
seems to me like you should not have switched carriers without
researching the problem first. At least, you had something that worked
before.

Since I don't drink - I substitute a soda can. Put the iphone left side about where the wifi antenna would be, and - super reception! I've done this when I break down in remote locations far from cell towers, and gone from no bars to 3 when I aim it right.

iPhone home phone docking stations - use your iPhone as a landline?

Hi

Does anyone here use or have a recommendation for a home phone dock to use
with an iPhone 4s? I would like to be able to get rid of my home phone,
but, still use my cordless phone for long conference calls that I am on for
work. My preference for a dock would be one where it could utilize all
the existing phones I already have and not simply turn it into a corded
phone if possible.

If I was going to ask for the pie in the sky option, a universal dock would
be great! Then I could connect my work phone for my work calls, and my
iPhone for my personal calls.

Thank you for any recommendations!
