The CPUG Network has announced the Eighth Annual Amsterdam SuperMeet, to take place Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Hotel Krasnapolsky in the heart of Amsterdam. Three time Oscar winning film editor, Walter Murch will be the featured presenter. SuperMeets are networking gatherings of Final Cut Studio, Adobe and Avid editors, gurus and digital filmmakers from throughout the world. Earlybird tickets are on sale now online only and can be purchased at the SuperMeet web site.
Los Angeles CA/Boston MA - The Creative Pro User Group Network (CPUG Network) today have announced the Eighth Annual Amsterdam SuperMeet, to take place on Sunday, Sept 13, 2015 at the Hotel Krasnapolsky in the heart of Amsterdam. Doors open at 4:30PM (16:30) with the SuperMeet Digital Showcase featuring 20 software and hardware developers. SuperMeet Presentations will begin at 7:00PM (19:00) and continue until 11:00PM (23:00). "Happy to be back on the SuperMeet stage after a a 4 year absence," states Murch.
Walter Murch has been editing picture and mixing sound in Hollywood since starting on Francis Ford Coppola's film THE RAIN PEOPLE (1969). He co-wrote, sound-edited and mixed George Lucas's THX-1138 (1971), and then supervised the sound editing on THE GODFATHER (1972), sound-edited and mixed AMERICAN GRAFFITI (1973) and THE GODFATHER: PART II (1974), got his first Academy Award nomination and won a double BAFTA for picture editing and mixing THE CONVERSATION (1974), won his first Oscar for APOCALYPSE NOW (1979), and an unprecedented double Oscar for sound and film editing for his work on THE ENGLISH PATIENT (1996).Murch is currently in London working on another movie.
The full agenda will not be announced until shortly before the event date, however the producers have stated that there will be USER driven presentations by Blackmagic Design and Adobe and others.
Rounding out the evening will be the always wild and fun "World Famous Raffle," where thousands of Euros worth of valuable filmmaker-related prizes, will be handed out to dozens of lucky winners.
Doors will open at 4:30PM (16:30) with the SuperMeet Digital Showcase featuring 20 software and hardware developers including Adobe, Blackmagic Design, iZotope, Audio Network, Boris FX, CoreMelt, GenArts, Intelligent Assistance, Imagineer Systems, HighPoint, Red Giant Software, Lumberjack Systems and many others to come. Here, attendees can enjoy a few cocktails, mingle and party with industry peers, network one on one with leading manufacturers and learn about the latest trends in collaborative editing workflows for post production and broadcast markets.
Tickets are on sale for the "Earlybird" price of only Euro10.00 each (Earlybird tickets expire August 13) for Adults and Euro7.00 for students and Teachers and are on sale online only. Daily Selfie released for iPhone - One Per Day Photo to Video App - Published on 07/27/15

California based, PRRES Services Inc. today introduces Daily Selfie 1.0 for iPhone, offering anyone a great a way to create digital albums of photos over time. Users can add photos to each album over time, and new photos can be aligned to previous photos. The album itself can then be played back as a video to show changes over time. The video can be shared to Facebook or emailed to friends. The app has a alignment guilds, using transparent overlays of previous photos, as well as a grid.
San Ramon, California - PRRES Services Inc, a SF Bay Area based software company, has announced the release of its iPhone app, Daily Selfie, available for download on the iPhone App Store. Daily Selfie provides a way to create albums of photos for the user. They can create one for themselves as a selfie, one for each child, one for their wife, or for a special event. Users add photos to each album over time, and new photos can be aligned to previous photos. The photos in an album can be played back as a video to show the changes over time.
Daily Selfie has a reminders feature, which will send a push notification to the device and a pre-set interval, so the user knows it's time to add a new photo.
The app has a alignment guilds, using transparent overlays of previous photos, as well as a grid. This helps to align photos for a smoother video play back to show gradual changes.
The app has a grid view that shows thumbnail collection of all the photos in an album, for faster navigation to a particular photo. This view will also allow the user to tap hold and drag to reorganize the order of the album.
When the user adds photos, they can chose from taking a new photo, or importing multiple photos selected from their device's Photo Library.
The user can play video as a live preview, and adjust the playback speed using a speed slider. Sliding this to the right will increase the speed, and to the left will slow it down. Once the user has found the setting they like, they can export the video as a video, or as an animated GIF image. Also individual and all photos form an album can be exported to the user's Photo Library. And videos created can be posted to Facebook to share with friends, or emailed and saved to the device.

A solo game session can be played but to play against others, you sign in. Each game session against others can have 2, 3 or 4 players and you can have multiple games going on at the same time. You play your turn and then wait on the next player to play their turn.
Game play consists of selecting a category (Championships, FA Cup, Managers, Other Clubs, Players, League, or World Cup), being presented with a question and four possible answers, and choosing an answer within 20 seconds (or optionally using a lifeline that adds more time). If answered correctly, the next player must answer a question from this same category. If answered incorrectly, the category is no longer available to you and the next player gets to choose their category.
Points are earned upon answering questions correctly. When only one player has available categories left, the game is over and the player with the most points wins the game. During play, a game board shows the status plus a "Play by Play and Chat" is available to show game history and allow messages to be sent to the other game session players.
Weekly and monthly contests are always present so that you can see via a Leaderboard the winners of each of the contests. Larry Poor, co-founder, said, "Weekly contests allow new players to compete immediately without having to work their way up against long-time players on an all-time leaderboard."

Go Independent Records today releases Drum Loops HD 2, the follow up for its sucessful Drum Loops HD app for iOS musicians. A totally new app with a modern (iOS 7/8) design and all new loops, fills and samples to be copied to a sequencer. together with the previous release, it is the only real live played and purpose built drum loops and fills library to work together perfectly with Apple's Garageband. Any loop copied to GB is pasted as an Apple Loop, following GB tempo.
The Hague, Netherlands - Go Independent Records have announced that they have recorded, built and released the perfect follow up app for Drum Loops HD, it is called Drum Loops HD 2 appropriately. And for every G.I. Records release there is a 'try before you buy' version with one chapter fully functional, in this case the Blues chapter. It is a free app called, Drum Loops HD 2 Light.
It was announced last year and went into production in 2015. After having updated Drum Loops HD many times and having added content G.I. Records decided to not throw in some new styles but to release a second full blown drum loops and fills app with a complete set of loops in all new styles! In this new app musicians can find: Blues, Rock, Country, Reggae, Bossa Nova, Samba, Fusion and so called Super Dry Loops, a seperate chapter with loops recorded in the 70's fashion, a dead small room with an intimate direct sound.
All other loops and fills are on offer in two mixes, a close-miked mix (with very little room sound) and a fat roomy mix with distance mics mixed into the sound, both mixes work in perfect sync. All of this gives the user lots of creative possibilities to build a live played drum track in a sequencer in very little time. And, of course, all drums were performed by Hollands number one studio drummer, Hans Eijkenaar in a state of the art facility.
Furthermore Drum Loops HD 2 is a perfect tool for musicians to use as a play along device and for live performance as well, since all loops play forever within the app itself. Users around the globe have attested to the great feel and sound of the recorded loops. G.I. Records is a slim and fast operating company that wants to know what users want and most previous updates or releases were based on user feedback. The content of Drum Loops HD 2 was thus uniquely based on user feedback and user requests!
There is a vast amount of loops, fills, samples and even ending drum fills on offer in bpms that range from 70 bpm to 260 bpm, depending on style and feel. And styles can be mixed resulting creative use of loops and fills from various chapters, perfect for song writers!
Where most other apps offer only programmed drum sounds, Drum Loops HD gives users more than 700 drum loops, fills, samples, crashes, and ending drum fills, all played for real and recorded by Hans Eijkenaar, at Sound Vision Studios in Arnhem. Drum Loops HD 2 has been tested with (a.o.) Garageband, Music Studio, Auria, Multitrack DAW, Cubasis and works on any iPad, iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 7 and upwards. Records decided to not throw in some new styles but to release a second full blown drum loops and fills app with a complete set of loops in all new styles! In this new app musicians can find: Blues, Rock, Country, Reggae, Bossa Nova, Samba, Fusion and so called Super Dry Loops, a seperate chapter with loops recorded in the 70's fashion, a dead small room with an intimate direct sound.
All other loops and fills are on offer in two mixes, a close-miked mix (with very little room sound) and a fat roomy mix with distance mics mixed into the sound, both mixes work in perfect sync. All of this gives the user lots of creative possibilities to build a live played drum track in a sequencer in very little time. And, of course, all drums were performed by Hollands number one studio drummer, Hans Eijkenaar in a state of the art facility.
Furthermore Drum Loops HD 2 is a perfect tool for musicians to use as a play along device and for live performance as well, since all loops play forever within the app itself. There is a vast amount of loops, fills, samples and even ending drum fills on offer in bpms that range from 70 bpm to 260 bpm, depending on style and feel. And styles can be mixed resulting creative use of loops and fills from various chapters, perfect for song writers!
Where most other apps offer only programmed drum sounds, Drum Loops HD gives users more than 700 drum loops, fills, samples, crashes, and ending drum fills, all played for real and recorded by Hans Eijkenaar, at Sound Vision Studios in Arnhem.
