The app can be used by students to find a roommate, sublet their apartment, and buy or sell textbooks, electronics, class-notes, tickets, and furniture - anything students use at college.
In addition to the peer-to-peer marketplace, Locolist is proud to partner with Amazon to give students the option of trading-in/selling their textbooks directly to Amazon. It is well known that campus bookstores give students pennies on the dollar for their used books. Now, with Amazon Trade-In, students can get a much higher price for their textbooks. Including textbooks, over one million CD/DVD's, games, and consumer electronics items are trade-in eligible.
College students are always looking for ways to save money during the school year, and Locolist is revolutionizing the way students connect to buy and sell on campus. The app's goal is to make it easy and safe for students to meet and complete a transaction.
To ensure student safety, Locolist requires students to create an account using their college .edu email address. Accounts are only activated after the student logs in and verifies their email address. An in-app messaging feature facilitates direct communication between buyers and sellers.

* Can shrink ICNS files, down to 15% of their original file size
* Converts Iconsets into compressed ICNS files, with the same savings as an ICNS file

Notes: Actual compression rates will vary, dependent upon the content of the image. ICNS compression can reach 15% when additional "Element stripping" is enabled in the preferences, otherwise ICNS average rates are about 25% of their original size. ICNS element stripping will make the ICNS file incompatible with OS X 10.6 or older. PNG compression is processed by the open source pngquat project.

Stylized as a vintage compact cassette player, Magnetola is the first sensory-friendly music player that can play tracks either unaltered or, for more sensitive ears, slightly "softened."
Magnetola's unique audio softener filter can smoothen the rough edges of individual instruments, such as the drums or electric guitars, as well as it can follow the overall dynamic of the song and suppress sudden "big" attacks (think the beginning of Pink Floyd's The Wall). The player also features sliders for adjusting highs and lows (that's shelving filters in technical language). You can either boost or cut off high and low frequencies to your liking; we call these parameters "silk" and "wool" respectively.
Children and adults on the autism spectrum and those with sensory processing issues may find Magnetola's audio filters especially useful. You will appreciate the softener if you have good headphones; in fact once you find your favorite combination of the three sliders - the softener and the shelving filters - you can get addicted to it!
Of course you can listen to your music in its original, unaltered form: when the app is started for the first time, all sliders are in their neutral positions that don't affect the audio in any way.
Magnetola plays songs from your music library and features a library browser stylized as a compact cassette collection.
Have fun with the Fast Forward/Rewind functions that work almost exactly like on the old good compact cassette players. Pressing both buttons simultaneously does something, too.
