I had the same problem too. I have a Windows 10 computer and have the
newest iPod Nano and latest iTunes. I connected my iPod and iTunes couldn't
see it. I restarted my computer and made sure I used the original charging
cable. I think if you have an Apple cable you should be ok too. That seemed
to work. I connected it and iTunes started up and it worked fine. Be sure
your iTunes is up to date and good luck.
