Carmen does not use the microphone for audio input. It analyzes the music directly from your library while it is playing. Carmen is perfect for viewing and listening through headphones, AirPlay or a speaker dock. You can easily control playback with simple gestures, such as a two finger tap for play / pause, one finger swipes for next / previous, two finger swipes for changing visualizers and more. Carmen is integrated with the iOS music playing system and supports remote control when in a speaker dock, album artwork and audio control on the lock screen, and AirPlay through iOS.

Berkeley, California - The Brainstormer, an idea-generating app for iPhone, iPad and Android devices, now supports the Apple Watch. The Brainstormer is a unique idea generating app, based on a physical idea wheel constructed by concept artist Andrew Bosley and developed by Tapnik Software. The Brainstormer has three spinning wheels featuring plot/conflict, theme/setting and subject/location. By manipulating the wheels, or randomly spinning, the user generates combinations that make fantastic creative prompts for writing, sketching or any creative activity. Users have the freedom to edit the wheels to fit their process, from simply tweaking the built-in lists to creating entirely new scenarios from scratch.
A new Science-Fiction themed Brainstormer has been added, and more wheels will be made available online. In addition, this major update adds several new features including exporting and sharing wheels, and editing your custom wheels from a desktop browser.
The Brainstormer has been widely used in teaching, by creative writing and sketch groups, and by thousands of creative writers and artists. It was featured in 2014 at the Digi.lit digital publishing conference from LitQuake.
The Brainstormer is a bit of kindling for creative minds. A tactile tool to randomly combine a plot, a subject and a setting or style, the Brainstormer can provide that elusive moment of inspiration for writers, painters, or any kind of creative endeavor. It's a great way to combat creative block, to spark new ideas for a new project or to summon up quick subjects for doodling, sketching or journaling.

"When returning to a location, they find themselves scrolling through hundreds of photos in their photo gallery, often giving up in frustration. WhereNotes was created to make it easy for users to remember important photos, text, and audio and to associate those items with a specific location. In addition to photos, users can add text (for example, to remember important names), audio recordings, checkboxes (to mark something as "checked"), and counters (to keep a count of visits, uses, redemptions, etc.).
While all data is kept private, users can choose to share specific attachments or entire notes. Everett, Washington - Third Law Studios' ambitious project, Time Keepers, will ship Friday for the Apple Watch, placing it among a handful of complete games available at launch. The irreverent app has players defend their beloved tech company (and household name) Pineapple, Inc. against ruthless competitor Samesong. By pushing Pineapple's innovation players try to protect against the sea of look-alike gadgets spewing from shameless clone makers. It's part idle-clicker, part simulator, part fanboy fun. The heart of the game is researching and upgrading eight key technologies to stay ahead of the curve: you can't go shipping smart watches with potato batteries for long.
Though built from scratch for the Apple Watch, Time Keepers plays flawlessly on the iPhone. On the watch, the addictive micro play sessions it was designed for feel like a perfect fit. The data is shared between devices so players can enjoy a minute or two on their wrist, and at any time switch to their phones for a longer session. Third Law Studios has pushed the limits of what can be done with the WatchKit SDK so that the game would actually look like a game. The app delivers a loving parody of Apple's tech culture to the vivid retina display at 30 frames per second.
Much of the play draws from the idle clicker game genre, well suited for the short sessions and small screens of a wearable game. Progress through Time Keepers can be made with a tap on the game's included glance, and a few button presses to drive the progress of the engineering. Alternatively, players can dive a little deeper to hire more staff and boost efficiency, or release a new edition of their smart watch to pull ahead of the clone makers.
"We may be the first to try bringing this addictive genre to the Apple Watch," said Dylan Malone, co-founder of Third Law Studios, "but we knew this was the kind of game we wanted to play on our wrist. It wasn't easily done, as the initial release of WatchKit to developers isn't 'fully native,' but we're pleased with what we've achieved through some creative engineering."
Time Keepers is $1.99 on the App Store. "I wouldn't underestimate the gaming potential of the Apple Watch," continued Malone. "We have lots of ideas for experiences that might work better on a wearable computer than a smartphone. Like many other independent developers, we can't wait to see what else we can do with this technology."
