Malmo, Sweden - Tales & Dice today is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of Hanna & Henri - The Robot 2.0, an update to their interactive children's app developed for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. In this interactive children's book kids take part in an adventure where Hanna & Henri goes to Hanna's aunt to build a robot. Along the way they get to do educational things like sorting fruit and to choose correct colors.
Now featuring U.S. English voice narration by stand-up comedian Brian K. Jordan, this tale alternates between interactive moments and games, and is presented with a narrator and subtitles. Having already established a consistent presence in Sweden, the company now hopes to find a bigger audience in the United States.
"We wanted to add U.S. English voice narration to our apps, complementing existing U.K. English voice. As kids aged 3-6 are our primary audience, we believe that regionally appropriate English is important for the storytelling. Forget edit/compile/link/run cycles. For certain kinds of coding, developers want to be able to switch between editing and running their code very quickly. When they make a change they want to see the results immediately. CPPlay enables exactly this type of workflow. Just edit the code and then press the Run button. Then press stop, edit the code, and press Run again. CPPlay was designed with learning and creative coding in mind.
CPPlay's interpreted environment will prove invaluable to C and C++ developers who are learning or experimenting with new techniques and want to avoid the normal lengthy compile/link/run cycle of compilers. CPPlay's interpreted environment offers developers the ability to work in a "Playground" type development environment, previously unavailable to C and C++ developers.
"Playgrounds are a new feature of Apple's Xcode development environment that allows developers working in the Swift language to enter code and immediately see the code run, and interactively make changes to the code as they progress. Sadly, Apple did not see fit to include a Playground feature for C and C++ developers. I developed CPPlay when I found myself wishing Apple had included Playground-like features for C and C++ developers in Xcode," explained CPPlay developer Alessandro Pistocchi.
CPPlay is built on top of LLVM and clang, which are the basis of some of the most robust and optimized C/C++ development environments today. Its JIT execution engine makes it so that the code you write runs fast, and the native code you call runs at native speed.
CPPlay's environment allows customization of the window layout, with available views that include the Source Code view to create, edit and remove source code files; the Web view to browse the web for tutorials and other documentation without ever leaving CPPlay; the Console view for standard input/output; the Notes view for taking notes about their project; and the OpenGL view for viewing any drawing or animation they create with CPPlay.

Together these situations form an emergent narrative that's shaped by the emotions and past experiences of the observer. After completing a level, it can be played again in endless mode. This really challenges the player's skill, as it gets progressively more difficult to touch the Orange Light often enough to stay alight. The game has intuitive full tilt controls that are easy to learn, but hard to master.
Touching Lights uses the power of 64bit devices and Metal for beautiful dynamic lighting and global illumination based on Enlighten. The music and the reactions from the lights blend into a relaxing soundscape.
