California-based Play Day LLC today introduces Smacky School 1.0 for iOS, the first-ever to the app store, multiplayer, retro-style racing game that pits one school versus the other. Users can choose to earn points for their elementary and middle school, their high school, or college. Gameplay for Smacky School is straightforward and easy to learn. After selecting the school they'd like to earn points for, players choose to play in single player or multiplayer mode (To access multiplayer mode, players must be signed in to Game Center). The start of the race is indicated by a 3-2-1 countdown. To successfully run through the obstacle course of mushrooms, players tap the left side of the screen to jump over the mushrooms and tap on the right side to slide under the mushrooms. If the player's runner hits an obstacle, the game ends. As the game progresses, it becomes more challenging with additional distractions such as flying birds, billboards, and even earthquakes.
Smacky School's database includes over 30,000 different elementary and middle schools, high schools, and colleges. Schools compete equally against one another so an elementary school might compete against a middle school or a high school or even a college. Smacky School is the first-ever multiplayer iOS game that incorporates players playing for their school honor.
Smacky School allows users to share updates, scores, and school ranks through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, SMS, and email. Leaderboards display both the school's rank and the Top 25 Schools and their point value.

Statiked is a native Mac OS X application that allows users to configure their blog, specify publishing hosts, create articles and publish them from Statiked's friendly user interface.
Currently, hosting a static blog on Github with Jekyll requires a certain amount of technical knowledge in using bash command and some experience using Ruby. Statiked takes out of all these pain points and provides a streamlined UI. With no bash commands to remember and no databases to configure, Statiked strives to make the static blog creation process simple and easy.

An inbuilt MetaWeblog interface is also available in Statiked which helps posting to your static blog with a traditional blog client easy. Additionally, users can create and save their posts locally in markdown format. Statiked will convert the markdown files to HTML before uploading them to the hosts.
Presently, Statiked can publish blogs to Amazon S3 and Github although additional hosting options will be available in the near future. Migrating existing blogs have been made easy by Statiked's use of the familiar Liquid Template system. By providing a wealth of options, Statiked respects the user's workflow and endeavors to make the technology of publishing less cumbersome.

In The Butterfly Attack, Coleman merges true facts with actual events to create a captivating and visually stunning fictional story about a team of hackers hired to conduct a mock cyberwar exercise that goes terribly wrong. Parallax technology enables the reader to become part of the story, with interactive motion sensors, 3D animations, video, and gaming elements fully integrated into the app.
"When I started out with this idea, I struggled with how to bring the amazing stories, threats and dangers posed by malicious hackers to the screen," said Coleman.
