Remotie app for Samsung Smart TV has been downloaded 10K times in 5 days - Published on 08/13/14

Belize City, Belize - After its App Store release on August, 5th by Kraftwerk 9 the free iPhone app Remotie allowing control of Samsung Smart TV has been installed more than 10200 times. After the successful start, downloads have increased 18.5% daily, on the average. Most downloads in the five days were made in the US - 4.12K, and Europe - 3.6K. On the average, downloads amounted to 2000 a day, and the highest number was reached on Aug 9, when Remotie was installed 2.7 times.

Remotie reached position 98 in the Utilities category of US Top Free iPhone Apps as a result of its sustained 5-day growth. "We are viewing this as a very good result," say Kraftwerk 9 developers. "Remotie is a specialized utility you would not download on a whim or just to have a look. Such download figures allow us to state that the remote really meets the users' expectations and has all the chances to be a success." In Europe, the app was mostly downloaded by people in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, France and Spain. High downloading activity was also registered in Canada, Australia, Thailand, Brazil, Mexico and Israel.

The users didn't fail to notice Remotie's enhanced features: iOS-keypad and touchpad available via In-App Purchase. The Kraftwerk 9 remote unit for Samsung Smart TV ended up in the 173 position in the rating Top Grossing iPhone Apps after a 5-day struggle.

The current version of Remotie only supports English. However, as developers point out, a decision has been made to localize the app, taking into account the downloading statistics. The updated version including support for 7 languages more will be available in App Store by as soon as late August.

The user is immediately notified upon receiving a new task. If there are any attachments in the email sent to the dedicated email address, they are also available in ToDo4team app. So all necessary task information and documents stay in one place and are reachable by managers and employee which is working on the task.

ToDo4team allows managers to place tasks in specific order according to priority of individual task. So employees are aware of tasks' importance. In addition to the task order, every task can be marked as 'High Priority' - displaying an exclamation mark icon.

All involved persons have access to all information about the task and can participate - make comments and according to user privileges make changes to priority and status. When done with the assignment, the status of the task is then changed to "completed." It means the employee has finished his work and manager is notified and is supposed to check quality of the work done. If the manager is satisfied with the work of the employee, the task status is changed to "closed" and the task is automatically moved to task history. If any additional work is required from employee, manager can return the task back to active tasks.

In case of forwarding the task to some other employee, there is a simple way of doing so. Using simple Drag & Drop feature of ToDo4team, the employee working on the task can be changed easily. Both new and old employee working on the task is informed about this change.

Only the manager can cancel a task simply by deleting it from the list. Employee working on the task is notified about the change.

Effective management and workflow requires careful checking on all tasks. One of the biggest mistakes made by many managers is forgetting to check up on assigned tasks. Every single task assigned to employee to be completed should be checked for status in reasonable time span. Also, employees should not be allowed to remove tasks from task list without permission of manager.

List of successfully closed tasks is highly important for company's business success. Every task completed for specific client should be turned into an invoice or should be mentioned in your monthly report - according to workflow of your company. Not forgetting a completed task is really important for effective work and cash flow for your business.

Very important feature for making the most of the time spent working on tasks is detailed statistics on time spent on individual tasks. Employees use a special icon to register the start and the finish of work on every single task. So the working time for every employee and every task is recorded for further statistics and decision-making. You can spot employees working really hard and the ones working not so hard. London, United Kingdom - Today Mac Backup Guru developer MacDaddy released Mac Backup Guru 2.0. Mac Backup Guru offers advanced features, such as bootable backups, synchronised volumes and folders, and a Snapshot mode that uses system hard links to save space. Yet the interface is designed to be simple to understand and clutter free, so that novices and professionals alike can take advantage of its powerful features.

Developer Ben Slaney was keen to update Mac Backup Guru because his other product, Data Recovery Guru is only able to recover data on hard disks. Ben says, "The proliferation of Solid State Drives in Mac laptops is a worry for me. Like hard drives, they have a limited lifespan, but unlike hard drives, when an SSD fails, there is no way to recover the lost files."

Mac Backup Guru 2.0 is designed with a simple interface, to give users a simple way to secure their data. But the simple exterior hides some very advanced features. It works with local hard drives, so it is always fast to back up, and just as importantly, fast to restore. The two modes available allow the user to restore files or whole systems within minutes.

Synchronized Clone Backup:
This mode is designed to keep an up to date, bootable copy of the system drive or individual folders. If the worst happens and your system drive fails, simply restart the machine from the clone backup, and you are instantly up and running again. The drive is synchronised daily, but can be manually done at the touch of a button. Perfect for a last minute backup before taking a laptop on a trip.

Backup with Incremental Snapshots:
This mode will also allow a full bootable copy of a system drive, so users can be back up and running immediately if they suffer a failed drive. But this mode also takes Snapshots of the hard drive, so that if files were accidentally deleted, the user can look back at previous back ups to find the missing file.

This Snapshot mode may sound like it would require large amounts of storage space. However, because Mac Backup Guru uses OS X system hard links, it only needs as much storage as the original drive, plus the space that the deleted files require. This means a months worth of Snapshots, each a full backup, can fit on a drive barely larger than the original backup.

Fast to backup, instant to restore:
The initial backup may take some time, in either mode. But subsequent backups or Snapshots only copy the changed files, so are extremely fast. In the event of a disk failure, simply boot from the external drive and instantly be up and running again.

A perfect copy:
Mac Backup Guru makes a perfect copy of the data every time, including file permissions and metadata. Many other Mac backup applications, including Apple's own Time Machine app, fail to retain things like metadata. This can cause problems, especially if the data backed up includes the system files.

Ben Slaney commented, "I discovered that the vast majority of backup software for the Mac doesn't do a great job of keeping the integrity of the files it copies. Even Apple's own Time Machine fails to make a perfect copy of things like metadata, which can cause serious problems. So I made sure that Mac Backup Guru 2.0 makes perfect copies every time".

Plays nicely with online backup and synchronization services:
Mac Backup Guru is designed to use local storage, as this means users can immediately get back up and running in case of disaster. But we understand that many users like to use services like DropBox, or other online backup services. These services are great as a second line of defence, as keeping an off-site backup is good practice. The only drawback being the length of time it takes to restore from an online service (it could be days or even weeks!). But Mac Backup Guru 2.0 supports these services, and won't conflict with their work.

Mac Backup Guru 2.0 requires OS X 10.7 or newer, and has been tested with the forthcoming OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

Blurring the line between single and multiplayer experiences, Skater enables social interaction, letting players share their own challenges and experiences in some of the world's best-known skate parks and street spots. The first release focuses on well-known US parks like Stoner Park, Woodward Plaza and The Berrics, and street spots like Carlsbad Gap and Hollywood High.

Skater is like taking part in a huge skate session, with users around the world exploring and sharing different ways to skate locations. This gives players access to unlimited content - a never-ending feed of new ideas, unlike any other previous skating game. Skater's unstructured format and attention to user-generated content makes for an authentic experience without funneling players through a set list of challenges dictated by the developer.

"As ex-competitive skaters and developers, we wanted to play a better skate game on the current generation of devices," said Dain Hedgpeth, Director for Frosch Media. "We surveyed tons of skaters, scoured forums from around the world, and found that we wanted a skateboarding experience that offered organic gameplay, social engagement and a way to expose and share the best things to do in levels - one's that were based on real world skate parks. So I flew to California to meet with some of the world's top skaters and together we travelled to some of the most renowned skate parks in the US."

This is the first time real skate parks and street locations have been created authentically in any skating game. Starting with architectural plans from the city, Google height maps and on-site photography, every detail has been faithfully recreated, even down to the graffiti and bloodstains.

One of the people met in California was Andrew Reynolds, a legend in the world of skateboarding. "This game is amazing because I have total freedom to skate my own lines. If I pull off something really cool, I can save it to share with my mates, and there are endless trick runs to check out and try from other people. I could flick through different runs all day - it's pure skate porn."
