Weil am Rhein, Germany - Independent developer, Tibor Andre today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Tune-Instructor 3.5 for Mac OS X, an update to his iTunes Controller application that provides 25 workflow options for organizing iTunes files, plus convenient playback controls. In addition to the menu bar controller, a widget within the notification center conveniently permits playback navigation, title information, ratings, and more without opening iTunes, and minimizes when iTunes is not in use.
The menu bar controller launches an optional Track Info window, which can display song information and scrolling lyrics. Hovering over the menu bar expands the interactive info window and disappears when a user removes mouse. The application allows custom editing of ID3-Tags, which contains all the metadata of iTunes MP3 files. Users can easily organize their song libraries, titles, lyrics, artwork, files, and folders however they wish.
The menu bar controller is located on the upper menu bar of a Mac and allows users easy access to music selection, navigation, and playback controls. Users can hover over the playback controls to pop-up song details, artwork, rating options, and free jumping inside a playback to a specific part of a song. Clicking on the artwork, will bring iTunes to the front. A dial shows to the right of the playback controls, which allows users to display lyrics, change preferences, and access the Tune-Instructor platform for custom iTunes organization.
Much like the menu bar controller, a widget is now secretly available within the notification center for easy access. Controlling iTunes is easier than ever with quick functions like rating a song (even half star ratings are possible), playback options, and title information, such as song, album and artist. The extension also allows users to click on the embedded artwork to bring iTunes to the front of the screen so users can perform advanced operations. When iTunes is not in use or a song has been paused, it is removed from the notification center and the widget minimizes itself to free up space.
There are 25 organization options within Tune-Instructor. Each option comes with a video tutorial on the website's homepage. By clicking on "tutorial", users will access a list of all workflow options for easy instruction and quick set-up. Workflow can be edited and enhanced through these categories: ID3-Tag, files, folders, artworks, lyrics, library and utilities. A user can search and replace an ID3-Tag, embed iTunes store artwork in an ID3-Tag, automatically search lyrics, synchronize library with music folder, and much more.

Users can preset parameters to customize scrolling behaviors.
Advanced audio players and ID3 editors are called taggers, and permit batch tagging other utility functions. Tune-Instructor offers Search & Replace functionality across all the following categories: Name, Artist, Album, Album Artist, Composer, Show, Sort Name, Sort Artist, Sort Album, Sort Album Artist, Sort Composer, Sort Show, Genre, Comment, Grouping, Lyrics, and Episode ID. Search parameters include: Tag-Text Contains, Starts With, Ends With, Is Equal; and Word Contains, Starts With, Ends With, and is Equal.

Along with enhancements to the Query Analyzer, Visual Explain, FluidShell, and support for newer versions of natively supported database vendors, version 16 is the most streamlined and efficient Aqua Data Studio to date.
"As companies store ever-larger amounts of data, teams need smarter ways to understand those numbers and put them into action," explains AquaFold's CEO, Niels Gron. "We've added Treemaps, for instance, which allow you to visualize thousands of colored data points on a single screen. That makes it easy to spot patterns deep in the data that would be otherwise impossible to see."
Additional chart enhancements in Aqua Data Studio 16 make adjusting charts easier, including drag-and-drop reordering of fields. The addition of Treemaps brings visualization for hierarchical data. Trend lines now include confidence bands to indicate uncertainty with noisy or incomplete data, and intelligently fill in missing date information so that gaps in the data no longer cause gaps in trend lines. New data can now be pasted directly from a spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel into Aqua Data Studio's visualizations as a new data source, or used to replace existing data.
Another new feature, Binning, allows users to group measure values into collections and use those collections as discrete dimensions. It is especially useful when generating Histograms to visualize the distribution of data, another new feature in Aqua Data Studio 16.
"All of the visual analytic tools added to Aqua Data Studio let you see data in exciting new ways and often from novel perspectives," notes Gron. "That helps teams solve problems and collaborate better, which is the true goal of working with big data."
Along with Aqua Data Studio's visualization improvements are additional functions for calculated fields and table calculations to make working with data easier. Unlimited undo and redo in Visual Analytics allows users to step forward and back through time to test changes and ideas. An enhanced Visualization menu makes smart suggestions about which chart type to choose based on the data given. The query dialog now incorporates auto-completion as you write, and query results can be pinned so that they remain visible after re-executing a query.
Database support has also been upgraded for Sybase ASE 16.0, Sybase Anywhere 16.0, SQL Server 2014, MongoDB 3.0, VoltDB 4.9, Greenplum 4.3, Vertica 7.1, Hortonworks 2.2, Cloudera 5.2, Teradata 15, Netezza 7.1, ParAccel 5.1, Informix 12.10, MySQL 5.6, and Apache Derby 10.11.

Findey App Is Cmd-F For Safari On iPhone - Published on 03/23/15

Minneapolis based Adams Software announces Findey, an app for iPhone and iPad that lets users find text on webpages within Safari. Users can quickly find text on the page they are looking for by tapping the Action button, then the Findey icon. When a search is run Findey shows the total number of results and allows the user to use 'back' and 'forward' buttons to navigate through them. Findey is easier to launch and provides shortcuts to save keystrokes.
Minneapolis, Minnesota - Adams Software is proud to introduce the Findey App, a browser extension that runs within Mobile Safari on iOS devices. Users can quickly find text on the page they are looking for by tapping the Action button, then the Findey icon. The user's five previous searches can be run on the page with a single tap and no keystrokes. When a search is run Findey shows the total number of results and allows the user to use "back" and "forward" buttons to navigate through them. Matching text is highlight with a red font and yellow background to make it stand out.
If the user has copied text to the clipboard, there is a "Paste" button in Findey that searches for it immediately. It scrolls to the first result without a need to long press in a text field, choose "Paste" from the standard iOS menu, and tap a "Find" button. If the goal of a search was to find a link, tapping on the link in Findey will immediately close Findey's browser extension and Safari will navigate to the URL.
Because Findey is a browser extension there is a more involved setup than for typical iOS apps. After a user gets the Findey app from the App Store they can launch it to get directions for how to go into Mobile Safari to enable the Findey browser extension which they will use to search for text. Afterwards, the user will have little reason to launch the main Findey app other than to read FAQs or to communicate with Adams Software.
Even though Mobile Safari has "Find Text" functionality built in, Adams Software believes that users will easily get 99 cents worth of value from Findey. Safari's "Find Text" functionality is so hard to discover that almost no iOS users are aware of its existence. Furthermore it often requires an awkward dismissal of the keyboard to even launch it, and it always requires the users to type in the terms for which they are searching.
Adams Software is very up front about acknowledging the existence of this functionality in Safari because they do not want users to feel tricked out of their 99 cents. Thus they clearly disclose its existence on Findey's website and even link to a video on YouTube showing how to use it because they feel Findey compares favorably to it.
Findey's ability to run within Mobile Safari itself is a big selling point. That wasn't even possible until Apple opened up Extensions for third party developers in iOS 8. In Findey's case it makes it much less disruptive to perform a common web surfing task without requiring the user to switch back and forth between apps.

The Little Thief is inspired by the mathematical concept of Hamiltonian cycles, a path that visits each vertex exactly once and returns to the original vertex. The game is easy and fun to play but impossible to master, as the underlying problem is NP-complete. The levels are progressively harder, because the complexity of each map increases, while the allotted time decreases. In higher levels, the correct path might be impossible to detect on first sight. Players must use the reposition button in a strategic way.

The most challenging part of creating an Apple Watch app is the form factor of the screen and the usability for the users. * Enter 1 for Start Bar and 2 for End and switch on the Repeat/ Loop
* Press Play and you will see and hear an introductory bar, the music will play through Bars 1 and 2 and fade on Bar 3
* Play using the suggested fingering on the appropriate notes - At tempo 35 you can follow the fingering. Persevere it is worth it
* On both hands: 1 is your Thumb; 5 is your 'pinky'
* Go through the whole piece practising both hands separately and then together; choosing different Start and End bars until you can play all the way through without mistakes
* Then choose a faster tempo and repeat the process - You will find that you will get through the piece much quicker as you increase the tempi - as long as you do not move on until you are perfect

This is a truly engaging and atmospheric piece of music and probably one of the best known TV theme tunes from Simon May. You have four versions of EastEnders for Piano to practise and learn to read and play music:
1. EastEnders - with the piano sound as a guide. Choose Right Hand or Left Hand or both. Practise one hand while the other is played for you. This version has mainly single lines in both hands with a few chords.
2. EastEnders - without the piano sound as a guide. You now can be the soloist with the band.
3. EastEnders - with more chords to practise and play. It's a little more difficult but worth the practice.
4. EastEnders - with more chords to practise and play; but without the piano sound. Again you can be the soloist with the band.
* All are in the key of E Flat; the key that is used on TV and all have the same full range of practice facilities.
Here's a Practice Plan:
* Choose a version to practise and Choose Tempo 35 to start with so that you can practise very slowly
* Switch OFF Left Hand and Switch ON RH Fingering - Using appropriate fingering really will make it easier
* Enter 1 for Start Bar and 2 for End and switch on the Repeat/ Loop
* Press Play and you will see and hear an introductory bar, the music will play through Bars 1 and 2 and fade on Bar 3
* Play using the suggested fingering on the appropriate notes - At tempo 35 you can follow the fingering. Persevere it is worth it
* On both hands: 1 is your Thumb; 5 is your 'pinky'
* Go through the whole piece practising both hands separately and then together; choosing different Start and End bars until you can play all the way through without mistakes
* Then choose a faster tempo and repeat the process - You will find that you will get through the piece much quicker as you increase the tempi - as long as you do not move on until you are perfect
