Breckenridge, Colorado - Mac OS X File Recovery today is pleased to introduce Data Recovery Guru 1.0 for OS X, their new Utility app that recovers files that have been accidentally deleted due to user error or hardware malfunction. Files that have been emptied from the Trash appear gone, but actually remain on the disk until written over by new data. Data Recovery Guru locates and "unerases" these seemingly deleted files. Data Recovery Guru stands out among data recovery apps because it can find and save files that other apps cannot, generates preview thumbnails of recoverable files, and it can recover files at the same time it is scanning for lost files. Employing proprietary algorithms, the app's friendly GUI makes data recovery completely "non-technical."
Even the most experienced Mac users occasionally delete a file by accident. This can be an extremely frustrating, even frightening, experience, because users rely on their Macs in managing so much of their business and personal lives. Fortunately, experienced users have also learned that files emptied from the Trash are not really removed from the disk. On erasing a file, the disk's file index is instructed that the location of the file is now "free space," and can be used to hold new data. But until it is overwritten, the original file remains unaltered, though it cannot be seen in the Finder. Disk recovery apps perform two related jobs. One, they scan the disk, looking for intact files that the file index erroneously believes are gone. And two, they allow the user to select for recovery any missing file identified in the scan. When successfully recovered, the file again appears in the Finder and is "good as new," ready to be used as if nothing ever happened.
Data Recovery Guru 1.0 for OS X is part of a new breed of disk recovery apps for three important reasons. First, Data Recovery Guru is uncomplicated and easy to use. The user does not need to make any choices about which of several possible scanning modes they want to use. There are no Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced data recovery methods. There is one simple default that works flawlessly. Again, unlike some competitors, Data Recovery Guru does not use an esoteric control panel or display window. Rather, the user sees the same Finder window to which they are accustomed. From the sidebar, the user selects the Volume or Drive. In the window's first column are listed folders showing the different types of files that have been located. Then, in the next column is a list of individual files contained in the folder selected. Finally, in the last column is one single file chosen for recovery. This is data recovery for grandparents, unpretentious and user-friendly.
The second reason Data Recovery Guru represents a new kind of data recovery app is that its scan will find deleted files (even some files on failing hard drives) that other apps miss. In addition, it can scan and recover files from an unprecedented number of different kinds of devices, including: Macintosh disks, Windows disks, Linux disks, Unix disks, digital cameras, mobile phones, USB drives, memory cards, CDs/DVDs, and more. Third and last, Data Recovery Guru does not force the user to wait until the disk scan is complete before they can recover a file. Users can browse through deleted files that are found during the scanning process, while the app continues to scan. Selected files appear as text or graphic previews, displaying the file's content even before it is recovered. The larger the number of files on the disk, the longer the scan time. Data Recovery Guru features a thorough, high-speed scan, and allows users to recover their file the moment it appears in the scan window.
Should additional files need to be recovered, hitting the "Recover" button does not interrupt the ongoing scan.

The initial screen is a scientific calculator with 14-digit precision that pays attention to the little details. For example, some iPhone calculators report that the natural log of 0 is infinity. This is incorrect; it is undefined, and this calculator says so. Other calculators have trigonometric functions that are ill behaved for very small arguments, but this one has correct numerical behavior.
The logic calculator supports four bases and several logic calculations. It is easy to enter, manipulate, and display numbers in base 2, 8, 10 or 16, and a single tap of a button converts between the bases.
Four different conversion pages support easy conversions between common Metric and Imperial units for length, area, volume, temperature, mass, weight and speed. Peg Pals Pro 2.0 for iPhone uses artificial intelligence methodology to create thousands of solvable peg solitaire puzzles similar to those seen at Cracker Barrel. Providing numerous options for gameplay, the object is to reduce the puzzle to a single peg by successively jumping a peg over an adjacent peg and into an empty location. Peg Pals Pro also teaches the user how to solve any puzzle - move by move. The current release is a universal app that supports the iPad as well as the iPhone.
Columbia, South Carolina - Created by a retired research mathematics professor, the app Peg Pals Pro is the only puzzle of its kind on the App Store. The current version has been featured in Apple's "What's Hot in Board Games," and "What's Hot in Educational Games."
Version 2.0 of Peg Pals Pro is a major revision and is universal - supporting the iPad as well as the iPhone. Also many of the graphics for the iPhone version were improved to make better use of the retina display.
A puzzle consists of the classic triangular board with 15 peg locations (such as those commonly seen in the Cracker Barrel restaurant). The object is to reduce the puzzle to a single peg by successively jumping a peg over an adjacent peg and into an empty location. Puzzles can vary in difficulty from requiring about 30 seconds to solve, to much more complex.
What's special about Peg Pals is that it does not restrict the user to a single-peg removed puzzle, but rather generates random - but always solvable - puzzles with varying number of pegs removed.
As an option, puzzles may require that the final peg be in a specific spot. The user also has an option to use a timer and the option to show a solvable indicator that turns pink when there is no solution for the current puzzle.
Peg Pals also uses artificial intelligence search methodology to analyze positions and can tell the user how many solutions there are to a given puzzle and which moves are best in a given position.
The game allows for unlimited hints and the app will show you, move-by-move, how to solve any puzzle that you like. This makes the app great for both playing and learning how to solve any such puzzle.
The game play is smooth, fluid, and nicely animated. The pieces resemble smiley faces that beam when they are about to jump, or show horror when they are about to be jumped.
All settings are preserved between sessions, and the user will resume a puzzle exactly where she left off.
The app includes detailed and easy to access documentation of all its features.

"With this App children will learn in a playful way to put Bo the Giraffe in bed by helping him, among other things, clean up his toys, get undressed before taking a bath, wash his hair, brush his teeth and read his bedtime story", Esther explained that, "he even gets his goodnight kisses before he drifts off to sleep." The music and sounds, produced by TuneTraffic, prove to be very catchy. "We tested the App with 30 kids and all of the comments have been very positive".
Esther continues, "What makes this App unique is the fact that no other App helps parents create positive bedtime habits with their children. Also, we put a lot energy into the music and game aspects of the story as well as providing clear and colorful graphics." The App is sold in an English and a Dutch version and has been available since the 9th of December in the App Store for $1,99 (USD) or Euro1,59. Esther enjoyed creating this App so much that she says, "We're already in the process of developing the next Heppi App!"

"Bo's Bedtime Story" is divided in 10 consecutive and interactive scenes. At the beginning of each scene the child will be told by Bo the Giraffe what needs to be done and how to help him. During the 10 scenes the child will use a variety of skills such as sorting, color recognition, matching, counting, listening and coordination to accomplish the scenes' tasks. In the last scene, Bo will go to sleep and then meet up with all of his friends in his dream accompanied by the nice sing-along song "Hey, Hello My Name is Bo."
