We’ve received more information regarding the current status of the iOS 5 jailbreak. Famous hacker pod2g has just announced that he has successfully jailbroken his iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1.

More importantly, the jailbreak is untethered — something we were previously concerned about concerning 5.0.1. We found out that an untethered jailbreak was possible a few days ago, and now it’s been confirmed as working on the iPhone 4.(...)

If you’re a gaming fan then you’re probably well aware of the latest open-world RPG that is taking the world by storm, Skyrim.

The thing with games as large as Skyrim is that, unless you’re a world champion in the memory department, it is extraordinarily easy to get lost in the game’s expansive universe. Yes, there is an in-game map that can be brought up for viewing when needed, but constantly opening and closing the menus gets tiresome pretty quickly.

Other than a handful of stereo receivers and standalone speakers, there aren’t many AirPlay-compatible accessories on the market. Manufacturers haven’t really adopted Apple’s wireless technology like the company had hoped they would.

Steve Jobs and Apple famously said that if you needed a stylus to operate a tablet then you had already failed, and while we would agree with that sentiment, sometimes you still need a stylus for the iPad. Those that annotate documents or draw on their Apple tablets can tend to prefer a more tactile experience.

A Kickstarter project by the name of Estylo 1.1 from Plai wants to offer a stylus experience for iPad users. While we have seen plenty of similar products pop up over the years, this one has two particularly interesting traits: it’s made of wood, and it’s magnetic.(...)

Folks that missed out on all of the Black Friday festivities will be happy to hear that retailers aren’t quite done discounting Apple products yet. Yesterday, we told you about some major iPad deals going on over at Apple.com, and now we’ve come across some other specials.
