Zack's creatures splat anything they hit, but always wait for Zack before they move. Swipe, tap and magically twirl to move. Starting with just robots, each level adds more creatures, with new types at later levels. Skillfully get creatures to run into each other. Zack Splat has infinite levels - if you're good enough.

By popular demand, Zack Splat now also includes repeatable achievements. Some achievements are so nifty, Zack deserves a reward every time he does them, not just once. The tutorial normally just runs before the first game played, but it can be re-enabled easily through the Options screen. Zack Splat is still free in the App Store. The Wizard Wand in-app purchase lets Zack save up his magic powers, which creates some different strategies for playing the game. Zack will be escaping from the tower in 2012 in a new misadventure.

Until now, though, any software developed for HiJack had to be written in Objective C, compiled on a Macintosh, and distributed through the App store. This complicated process has a steep learning curve, and creates a high entry barrier for anyone who wants to write HiJack software.

techBASIC removes this hurdle. Accessing the HiJack hardware from techBASIC is literally as simple as

There are other commands that provide more control, but that's all it really takes. From there, the information can be processed in BASIC. The simple techBASIC programming language and environment were designed from the ground up to help scientists and engineers develop applications right on the iPhone, collect data from sensors, and display the data on interactive graphs. The BASIC language in techBASIC evolved from the one originally designed at Dartmouth for people without a deep background in computer science. It is similar to the popular Visual BASIC, but has matrix commands for scientific programming.

While the built-in help system may be adequate for most people, there is also a full color 200 page reference manual and a brief Quick Start guide available for download at the Byte Works' web site. Rochester, New York - Scales are one of the most important ingredients in music today. Nevertheless musicians sometimes have a more than ambivalent relationship with them. That may be partially due to the rather stringent practice methods involving scales as known from classical music. There is, however, much more to scales and with ScaleMaster for Mac OS X improvising musicians and song-writers now have a valuable tool to start exploring and to incorporate into their music the many different flavors scales can provide.

The master list in ScaleMaster is the base catalog of available scales. Over 200 types are listed and can be sorted alphabetically, by number of scale tones (i.e. pentatonic, hexatonic, etc.) or by rating. The rating system is provided to help remembering favorites and rank usability with up to five stars. ScaleMaster covers all church modes as derived from major and minor in the classical model but also includes an abundance of other material like pentatonic scales from many styles of world music, a fairly complete set of Indian Ragas, many blues and bebop flavored structures and much more.

Notation is essential whenever treating theoretical concepts in music and the notation view is the centerpiece in ScaleMaster. It displays a scale's name, classification, rating and notational representation. Scales can be shown in ascending and descending fashion or any combination thereof. Clef choices include bass, treble, alto and bass. Half-tone steps are indicated below the staff and additional display detail includes note names as well as interval to root for all scale tones.

For visualization as well as fingering purposes ScaleMaster features virtual instruments for bass, piano, guitar and mandolin. All instruments allow position shifts and can be played with the mouse. Stringed instruments (bass, guitar and mandolin) can be custom tuned as is common for open tunings for example. Another provision allows for left-handed. Additional display detail includes note names for all scale tones and scale degree or index.

For improvising musicians the relationship between chords and scales is of major importance. This is an area where ScaleMaster can be of great assistance to freshen up one's vocabulary and maybe introduce more colorful and less common choices. The main tool for this is chord matching. ScaleMaster lists over 40 of the most common chord forms that can be selected to filter out scales that don't match all chord tones. The resulting list of available scales for a particular chord can then be compared, played to get an idea of their overall flavor and rated.

Warsaw, Poland - Angry Orange Studios today is pleased to introduce Fruits Collector 1.0 for iOS, their new arcade Game where players get to slash, grab, drag, and tap different fruits in one of four gameplay modes. More challenging than most games of this genre, most fruits can only be slashed after they have fallen from the tree and before they hit the ground. Various modes included are: Slash, Speed, Short Rounds, and Endless. Featuring very realistic graphics and animation, the game provides excellent onscreen and audio feedback.

On Launch in landscape orientation, the gamer can choose from four modes of play. In "Slash Them All" mode, players must slash oranges or other fruit in a set period of time. The two and a half minute timer runs down as play proceeds, providing ample encouragement to react faster. Oranges fall from the tree at about one per second, and depending upon their height, take one or two seconds to reach the ground. The player must slash each orange in half before it hits the ground. This is difficult, because the fruit falls quickly and must be slashed as it falls, a feat requiring excellent hand-eye coordination. Point values change at different levels, for example 15 points for every orange, then 15 points for rotten oranges and 30 points for ripe ones. Feedback is excellent. Oranges splatter realistically and produce a pleasing "thump" sound when slashed. Slashes create convincing, dynamic white streaks onscreen, and they are accompanied by matching sound effects that change with the
speed and direction of slashes.

In "How Long Can You Play?" mode, gamers slash falling pears, and there is no time limit. However, there is a limit to the number of fruits that can hit the ground before the game ends. Level 1 scores 30 points per pear, but they are very tricky to slash as they fall; only after some practice can users move on to Level 2. At the end of each round, the player's score is displayed, including the number of ripe and rotten fruit contributing to the total score. Facebook and OpenFeint connectivity is also available on every scoring screen.

"Endless Mode" in Fruits Collector features apples falling from a large tree in a peaceful meadow, complete with a rainbow overhead. On being slashed and splattered, apples make an especially rewarding explosive sound. At the start, the tree contains approximately 30 fruits, which fall at the rate of about one per second. There is no clock, and there is no limit to the number of apples that can fall to the ground intact. Players can use this mode for marathon games and to practice their skills.

The last mode is "Short Rounds," where players try to tap and drag as many fruit as possible from the tree and into a fruit basket on the ground, within short, timed periods of 5 - 60 seconds. Other tasks include: tap the fruit, one by one, as it appears on the tree; tap only bad fruit; tap numbered fruit in ascending numerical order, etc.

You can touch the horse fast and move your finger up, to the left, and to the right, or do circles with your finger. If you simply touch and hold the horse, it starts moving forward. Most actions are done by touching the horse, not around the horse. If you touch the field around the horse, the horse simply goes there. For the games where the horse has to run a lot, it is much easier to control it by tilting the iPad - depending on how much you tilt the device, the horse will walk, trot or gallop. To make the horse jump, shake the iPhone or iPad in any direction.

In The Lasso game you play the bucking horse that does not want to be caught by the cowboy. There is something interesting about horses - when a horse plays, kicks and jumps around another horse, the other horse also becomes bucking - they are herd animals. That's why when the horse we play kicks, the other horse also kicks and the cowboy will fall at some stage. You can jump over fallen trees and hope that the cowboy will not be able to follow you. You can test your reactions by staying around the cowboy and the moment he prepares to catch you, make a fast move and escape. It is so fun :-)

The Run with the herd game has no particular point, just run around with the other horses. It was requested by one of the kids that likes Jumpy Horse.

The 60 seconds game is similar to the Let's jump game. Let's see how many cowboys and cowgirls you can throw in one minute. 7 or 8 is a good result. When the horse kicks very high and fast, the hat of the cowboy can also fall.

The objective in Magic Jewels is simple - flood the entire game board with the color of a single gem. The magic happens when your goal is to convert other gems to go under your control. You start off with a single gem at the top left, and when you convert that gem into a different color, any adjacent gems that have the same color as your new gem will fall under your control.

You just have to keep doing this until the whole board is yours. Sounds simple, until you realize that the number of moves you have is limited. It is also because of this that players becomes attracted and keeps playing on for hours trying to figure out a solution to beat the board.

There are 4 different difficulty levels, along with a bonus level that was actually a last minute addition to the game according to the developers. "We thought of adding something extra for fun, and it turns out that we and our beta testers actually end up enjoying it more than the actual game."

Magic Jewels: Flood the Gems is currently only available on the iPhone and iPod. The developers mentioned that while they had originally planned to release Magic Jewels as a universal app like their earlier major releases, they felt that it would be more justified not only towards the game but also for iPad owners if a dedicated version with improved graphics and larger gameboard was released as an iPad only app.

GamePrices arms video game shoppers with the tools to give them insight to make informed buying decisions, arming them with reviews, information on where to find the lowest prices for new and used games, release dates for upcoming games, as well as trade-in values.

Denver, Colorado - Grey Hat Apps LLC, a Colorado based company, today is pleased to announce a new iPhone app that promises to save video game shoppers time and money during this busy holiday shopping season. The new app is called GamePrices and is now available in the Apple App Store for FREE. The GamePrices app supplements the GamePric.es website, which is a free service that makes it easy for shoppers to find the lowest price for any video game, console or gaming accessory. GamePric.es monitors all of the major retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Walmart for the lowest prices and notifies users when price drops occur so gamers can focus on playing more video games instead of spending their time hunting down deals.

Frustrated with using general shopping apps that displays inaccurate and out of date pricing information, as well as non-video game relevant results and reviews, developer Nam Tran sought out to create a mobile price comparison app specifically tailored to video games. The result: GamePrices - an app that makes it easy to look up the lowest prices for new and used games, pull up reviews from 100+ video game related sources (such as from IGN, GameSpot, Joystiq, etc), view future game release dates, and even see trade-in values offered by retailers - all of this possible while on the go using an iPhone.

"Convenience was a key factor that drove the design of the GamePrices app", says Nam. Shoppers using the app can easily look up the lowest prices and reviews of video games while at a store by scanning the barcode of the item instead of manually typing in search keywords, although this is still an option. In most cases, GamePrices will find a lower price - so put the game back on the shelf and either checkout using your iPhone even before leaving the store, or send an email to yourself from within the app so you can checkout later on your computer when you get home.

Accuracy is another key design factor behind the GamePrices app. "Other price comparison apps cache pricing information in their database for extended periods of time, which results in stale and out-of-date prices being shown", says Nam. "GamePrices combats this problem by scanning the internet for the lowest prices more frequently than any other shopping app out there".

Additional features offered in the upcoming pro version of the GamePrices app include price alert notifications, detailed price history information as well as the removal of advertisements. When price drops occur that meet the price alert set by the user, users of the app are instantly notified on their iPhone that the item has dropped in price with a link to the item for purchase.
