Light 'em Up has 45 different levels of addictive gameplay with each level becoming progressively more challenging. Each level displays how many steps and how much time the puzzle must be solved within to win. If the light bulbs aren't activated and the puzzle solved within the set amount of steps, the entire puzzle resets.
Light 'em Up uses simple tapping controls to play the game and solve the puzzle. Tapping on the tubes, antennas, or light bulbs will rotate them clockwise. All antennas must face the power source to receive power. To complete the puzzle, all the light bulbs must be powered on however, it is not necessary to use all the connectors to solve and win the level. The less time and rotations used, the higher the player's score will be.
Light 'em Up has an engaging interface with beautiful colorful graphics, fun music and sound effects. Players can see their progress and the progress of their friends on a leaderboard that is shown at the end of each level. Game progress can also be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Light 'em Up is also Game Center-enabled so players can view their Achievements and post challenges to their friends. Light 'em Up also has seamless Facebook synchronization so players can pick up and play on any of their devices without losing game progress.

iBeacons Enable Proximity Messaging at July MacAdmins Conference - Published on 07/08/14

This week's MacAdmins Conference at Penn State will introduce a new form of show communication using Twocanoes' beacons and Conference Platform, allowing organizers to customize the attendee experience through targeted messaging. Having received a welcome email with conference information and downloaded a customized pass onto their iPhone, attendees will automatically be prompted to register by scanning the QR code on their pass when they arrive.
Naperville, Illinois - At this week's MacAdmins Conference at Penn State, attendees will experience a new form of show communication. The conference, July 9 through 11, is an annual gathering of systems administrators interested in deploying, managing, and securing Apple products and services.
Using Twocanoes' beacons and Conference Platform, MacAdmins conference organizers will customize the attendee experience through targeted messaging.
"Passbook and iBeacons will simplify our conference registration process and enable us to push up-to-date event news and important reminders to the attendees," explained Dave Test, group leader of technology classrooms at Penn State ITS. "Twocanoes has made integrating these technologies into our conference a breeze."
Having received a welcome email with conference information and downloaded a customized pass onto their iPhone, attendees will automatically be prompted to register by scanning the QR code on their pass when they arrive.
Once registered, attendees will receive show information on their iPhone lock-screens. However, Bleu Station's sophisticated proximity-enabled platform ensures they won't receive every notification - only relevant ones.
Show organizers can easily send announcements to every attendee or a subset, such as individuals registered for a particular session. Combined with online scheduling software SCHED, this gives MacAdmins organizers the freedom to change session locations without causing confusion.
Rather than having pre-set locations, attendees in the session areas will receive updates on the time and location of upcoming events. Attendees can also check the back of the show pass in the Passbook app on their phone to see the latest session details.
In addition, shortly before each session ends, attendees will be prompted by a lock-screen message to fill out a survey about the speaker/content. Attendees not in a session at that time won't receive the message, since broadcasts from the Bleu Station beacons are received only by session attendees.

QuickerTek's mCard is an internal PCIe mini adapter which enables older MacBooks and iMacs to use any wireless network with outstanding range and the fastest speeds managed by that network. The user installation is also quite straightforward, requiring no soldering or other Frankenstein work - it just replaces the stock wireless card. Users do not have to perform any additional steps to use the mCard either - it's as simple as install and use.
Not only does the mCard provide exceptional wireless speed, but it also allows for a significant increase in range. No longer is it necessary for MacBook users to be limited by the distance from a wireless access point.
