iOS 5 poor battery performance fixed?

Hello
Does anyone know if apple ever fixed the high battery drain issues on iOS5.xx?
Im on iOS 4 and afraid to upgrade since apple does not allow you to go back to your previous version of firmware,
so if things go wrong I cannot go back. Terrible.

I would say its improved but not " fixed ". Although I would not avoid updating just because battery is slightly less than iOS 4,x. My wife has an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 and consistently gets 2 days on a charge.

I love my iPhone 4S with iOS 5 but battery life is a real problem for me.
I recently took a 200 mile trip and passed through some low signal areas.
When I reached my destination I was down to 20%. iOS does not handle areas
with low or no signal well. I will put it on charge for the trip next time.
iOS5 has enough nice features that I don't think the battery use would keep
me from up dating. I bought a Mophie to help with the battery problem.

The problem will not be fixed until Apple adds more RAM, at least a full gb. With any one of many dialogistic tools on the AppStone, You can see the A5 processor is running at max. The biggest thing you can do is close out your multitasking Apps. Once you close out un-needed Apps, you will see your CPU load and RAM usage drop significantly = less power drain.

Cellular Useage

I started using my iPhone4s on Monday. One of the first things I did was to activate the wifi and connect it to my home network. According the the Cellular Network Data usage figures I've sent 1.0 MB of data and received 7.1 MB. I thought that the phone would default to the wifi connection if available. If that is the case why am I showing any data being used? The only explanation I can think of is that the Network Data under Cellular Usage indicates all data being transmitted and received regardless of the method. If that is the case how do I keep track of when I'm using the data usage that I'm paying for?

What does it mean if you get an error message on the iPhone that says your email password is incorrect, when in fact you know it's correct?

It was happening to me a lot during a time my desktop was in the shop. Turned out the MobileMe service (In my case) was down in scattered areas overnight. It also happens with AT&T and sometimes Gmail.

I have that happen from time to time using Mail on my Mac (I only recently got an iPhone). I think there was a hiccup when the Mail client tried to connect to the server. Re-entering the password fixes it till the next time (months typically).
