Intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and pharmacists to properly treat patients with low potassium, magnesium and phosphorus levels, KalcuLytes is based on unique, copyright formulae developed to calculate the recommended accurate and safe dosing and administration of electrolytes by intravenous and oral/enteral routes.
KalcuLytes is the first app ever to perform calculations based on each individual patient's age, gender, weight, electrolyte levels and renal function, including patients requiring dialysis. The app offers unique features of dose adjustment in the elderly and the morbidly obese patient.
"I decided to develop this app due to the simple fact that there was no scientific method to accurately calculate the proper replacement and administration of electrolytes in patients with Hypokalemia, Hypomagnesemia and Hypophosphatemia," said Azmi Kabbani, founder of Kalculytes. "These deficiencies are commonly encountered in everyday practice especially in hospitalized patients with higher incidence in patients in an intensive care setting."
By entering the patient's data and lab values, KalcuLytes will display the recommended replacement dose and administration of the specific electrolyte. Before the creation of this app, methods of estimating electrolyte replacement amounts were limited to guessing, or other inaccurate methods that were based on individual medical professional's experience. KalcuLytes estimates the exact electrolyte amounts needed for patients suffering from hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia or hypophosphatemia and provides recommended replacement product choices, dose intervals and rate of administration.
Given that it is the first app of its kind, KalcuLytes is considered a medical and technological breakthrough. With KalcuLytes, guesswork will become a thing of the past, and healthcare professionals will now be able to further provide their patients a more accurate and safer therapy.
"Kalculytes has now made it easier than ever to treat patients with these deficiencies, and I feel it will be of great use to many," said Kabbani.

Azmi Kabbani is an independent developer from Macon, Georgia. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Nephrology and Hypertension, and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology. Since Medical school and during his training in Internal Medicine and his Fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension, Dr. Kabbani has had great interest in Fluids and Electrolytes and Intensive Care Nephrology. Not only does it let you know what the weather's going to be like where you are, it also teaches you lots of Irish words and phrases. For all the Irish bars and restaurants dotted around the world it's the easier way to get a local forecast in the Irish language.
The purpose of Aimsir (pronounced 'am-sher', the Irish word for 'weather') is two-fold. Using weather data from OpenWeatherMap it gives the user detailed current and seven day forecasts for their current location. In addition to the forecast weather and temperature, Aimsir also provides information on wind strength and direction, atmospheric pressure and humidity.
Aimsir's other goal is to present to the user as much Irish language vocabulary as possible. Though the app is attractively designed, with many beautiful images and informative icons, the weather data is also presented in text format, so the user is exposed to a wide range of Irish words and phrases.
Aimsir includes a detailed glossary section where all of the Irish words and phrases used are translated into English. In addition to the translations, there are other useful tools that allow the user select numbers and dates and see them written in Irish.
"The weather and, more particularly, talk of the weather are such an important part of Irish culture that is seemed appropriate to have a weather app in the Irish language" says Moonswing founder Tom Tierney. "We hope people will use it to get a weather forecast for their area 'as Gaeilge' (in Irish). It's a great way to brush up on Irish language skills or maybe just learn a few words."
Moonswing plans to add many more features to Aimsir in forthcoming releases, including audio clips for the Irish vocabulary. In the meantime they invite you to 'Bain Triail As!' (Give it a try!).

Creepy Ghost - new game released by Compani - 9 levels of spooky fun - Published on 12/03/13

Creepy Ghost, released on November 20th is the second game produced by Compani for iPad & iPad Retina. Robi has to dodge several creepy creatures to obtain the much needed coins from a treasure trunk in order to accumulate rocks, ice and fire balls to fight and increase its score. Three stages & nine levels of fun! It will take Robi through a Haunted House where the ghosts will haunt him down, a Graveyard where the zombie and mummy will appear and a Castle where the witch & vampire will attack.
Mexico City, Mexico - Compani has just launched the Creepy Ghost game for iPad and iPad retina. The challenge is for Robi the main character to fight against a mummy, a zombie, a witch, a vampire an three ghosts who will try to prevent the player from getting coins out of the treasure trunk.
Robi will have to be careful as the treasure trunk will transform itself in a hungry monster ready to push him away.
Three stages will take Robi through a Haunted House where the ghosts will haunt him down, a Graveyard where the zombie and mummy will appear and lastly a Castle where the witch and vampire will attack him. All of the seven characters will try to prevent him from reaching out to the coins located inside the treasure trunk.
Rocks, ice and fire balls will help Robi fight the various spooky creatures and allow him to increase the score which in turn will also give him more of these weapons.
Getting to the Safe Zone is the only way to avoid attacks from these creepy creatures. While in this area Robi can safely throw the rocks, ice and fireballs but will have to leave this shelter in order to continue increasing the score.

The world famous Smart Alarm Clock is now available for Android and Kindle Fire. Amazon was selected to be an exclusive platform for the release of the app and for a limited time Smart Alarm will only be available there. Later, the app will also go on sale on Google Play.
Smart Alarm Clock is not a new name in the charts. In July 2013, the iOS version of the app was #1 in the US App Store and over 30 countries. The same month, it was one of the top 5 apps in over 75 countries. According to a recent Distimo report, Smart Alarm ranked 3-d out of all the paid apps on the App Store in August.
The functionality of the Android version is the same as that of its iOS counterpart. Sport.com promises great design, the same range of features and, of course, better sleep and easy wake-ups to its Android audience. The app takes advantage of the built-in accelerometer of the device to monitor user's activity and a unique algorithm to analyze the collected data. As during the night people go through light and deep sleep stages, the app calculates the best moment to set the alarm off. Other smart features include night sounds recording, sleep cycle tracking and statistics, over 100 free chill out and wake up tunes. And of course, users will be able to share their statistics and night sounds via Facebook or email.
According to the Sport.com spokesperson Smart Alarm Clock for Android and Kindle is one of the longest-awaited releases for many people familiar with the success of the iOS version. "As we worked on the Android version of the app, we received lots of emails with the same question "When will Android version be available?" We hope, our new audience will enjoy it and that this app will keep peace between the iOS and Android users".
