Just 2 Fun is utterly simple to play and a delightful challenge for young minds ages 9 and up. David has created puzzles (over 300!) centered on the vocabulary and interests of kids. Each uses pictures as visual clues; and every answer is just 2 words. All answer letters are provided and either answer word may be guessed first. The game encourages creative thinking and expands the vocabulary and general knowledge of players. Kids learn alternative spellings for homonyms and get unlimited "David Hints" or other helpers so they don't get stuck. The "aha" moments when kids figure out the puzzles are truly special! Kids get into it and want to play puzzle after puzzle after puzzle.
David Hoyt doesn't want to pigeonhole the app as "educational" because he believes that it is too much fun to be stuck in that category. But David does say "This app is a real creative thinking experience for kids; and they love it! Sure, they learn some vocabulary, and some facts, and they definitely use their spelling skills. But most of all, they have to get from my visual clues (often tricky) to my two-word answers and that takes creative thinking!"

Dallas, Texas - Secret Happy Hour today is proud to introduce their app Secret Happy Hour 1.0 for iOS and Android. The user's current geographic location and dining or drinking preferences drive the mobile application, which is available for both iPhone and Android. Those who download Secret Happy Hour will be able to search for recurring happy hours as well as receive push notifications about secret specials that can only be found through the app.
Taylor Pierce and Willie Johnston, both established iOS and Android developers, conceptualized the idea of Secret Happy Hour while attending the University of Texas at Austin. Both developers found themselves frequently missing out on happy hours around Austin because there was no efficient way to find where the best happy hours were and what time they started and ended.
"We found ourselves missing all the good happy hours, sometimes by only a few minutes" said Pierce, CEO of Secret Happy Hour. "We thought about how cool it would be to create something that kept all of the happy hour information for your area right at your fingertips. The idea that bars and restaurants could create secret specials just for our users at any time was a huge plus, too."
As small business owners, Pierce and Johnston recognized that this could also be a valuable tool for independent restaurateurs and bar owners. New technologies and innovative software designs were explored and tested, to create a tool that allows restaurant owners to measure the success of their Secret Happy Hour specials.
Throughout the pre-registration period, more than 120 bars and restaurants spanning Los Angeles to Miami signed-up through the Secret Happy Hour website. Even though the concept was created to foster local economies, owners and operators from larger chains such as Hard Rock Cafe Cleveland, Wahoo's Fish Tacos and Blue Martini have also shown interest in Secret Happy Hour.
When asked why she wanted her business to join Secret Happy Hour, Kala Hunter, GM at Barcadia Ft. Worth, said "It's an innovative app because it not only alerts someone of exclusive daily specials, but it also uses one's location to remind the user that drink specials are mere feet away. Genius, especially in such an attention deficit society."
Secret Happy Hour launched as a free app for iOS and Android devices Friday, December 7, 2013. The Official Secret Happy Hour DFW Launch party is being held at Barcadia Ft. Worth on December 14 at 8:00pm. Details about the event can be found on the Secret Happy Hour Facebook page.

Taylor Pierce and Willie Johnston, both established iOS and Android developers, conceptualized the idea of Secret Happy Hour while attending the University of Texas at Austin. Both developers found themselves frequently missing out on happy hours around Austin because there was no efficient way to find where the best happy hours were and what time they started and ended.
"We found ourselves missing all the good happy hours, sometimes by only a few minutes" said Pierce, CEO of Secret Happy Hour. "We thought about how cool it would be to create something that kept all of the happy hour information for your area right at your fingertips. The idea that bars and restaurants could create secret specials just for our users at any time was a huge plus, too."
As small business owners, Pierce and Johnston recognized that this could also be a valuable tool for independent restaurateurs and bar owners. New technologies and innovative software designs were explored and tested, to create a tool that allows restaurant owners to measure the success of their Secret Happy Hour specials.
Throughout the pre-registration period, more than 120 bars and restaurants spanning Los Angeles to Miami signed-up through the Secret Happy Hour website. Even though the concept was created to foster local economies, owners and operators from larger chains such as Hard Rock Cafe Cleveland, Wahoo's Fish Tacos and Blue Martini have also shown interest in Secret Happy Hour.

Shaderific is an educational app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch that helps computer science students and experienced developers to get started with OpenGL ES 2.0 shader development. The app makes it possible to write, compile and test shader programs directly on any iOS device without ever touching a laptop or desktop computer. Version 3.1 adds support for iOS 7 and 64-bit as well as anaglyph red-cyan 3D rendering.
Hamburg, Germany - Gryphos GmbH has released Shaderific version 3.1, a major update of its OpenGL ES 2.0 shader development application for iOS. Shaderific provides the full range of shader development with the OpenGL Shading Language (GLSL) on tablet computers and mobile devices. Vertex and fragment shader code can be created, edited and compiled on the device and all changes are visible instantly. There is no need to use a personal computer (laptop or desktop) in the shader development process anymore.
The update adds support for iOS 7 and 64-bit. A new stereoscopy mode allows to render any shader as anaglyph red-cyan 3D images. This provides a completely new 3D experience when using glasses with the appropriate red-cyan filters. A new shader demonstrates the use of a high resolution normal map based on world coordinates to render a photo-realistic image of a head showing even finest details of the skin. When importing objects via Dropbox the texture coordinates provided in the object file are now accounted for. The new capability of using textures in the vertex shader is demonstrated by a new height map shader that renders the surface profile of the earth on a plane. Multiple instances of the same object can now be rendered with a single shader using the new draw instanced functionality. The number of object instances is customizable via the settings menu.
Starting shader development can be a difficult and complex task for a beginner. Shaderific smoothes the learning experience dramatically by hiding away a lot of the technical complexity, that way letting the user focus solely on the shaders. 28 built-in shaders are demonstrating fundamental development techniques ranging from basic coloring and lighting shaders to advanced texture shaders with normal and environment mapping. The user can start to experiment with these shaders right away without writing a line of code. Alternatively, shader, object and texture files can be imported via Dropbox to give a maximum of flexibility in creating new custom shaders.
Shaderific streamlines the process of prototyping, testing and debugging shaders immensely by cutting the cord to the personal computer. Whereas traditional shader development requires compilation of the whole graphics application for every change to a shader file, all this is unnecessary now. Since the shaders are edited and compiled right on the iPad, iPhone or iPod no file transfer is needed with a personal computer and a lot of time can be saved. A further strength of Shaderific lies in the possibility to change parameters (uniforms) of the shaders via the settings menu without interrupting the rendering loop. All changes can be examined in real-time and fine-tuning the rendering result is fast and easy.
