San Antonio, Texas - Independent game development studio, SpinFall, released Medieval Math Battle this month, an educational game where players master math facts and wield a sword in order to protect a medieval kingdom from villainous foes.
"We were inspired to create the game when our son came home from 3rd grade one day announcing he had to learn multiplication facts. Like many children, he loathes having to memorize anything, especially when it involves flash cards," says SpinFall founder, Franklin Lyons. "With Medieval Math Battle, he can study and play at the same time. Which he loves."
The educational game begins with the most basic levels of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, but increases in difficulty as children master the basic facts. With a hint of danger, gold to earn, suits of armor to wear, and bad guys to defeat, children all over the world will be excited about practicing math.
"The game is great for not only kids, but also for parents and teachers too," says Lyons. "The report card feature clearly displays which facts the child has mastered, and which ones they still need to work on. Plus, the timer keeps track of how long they played, and will reward the child for practicing for at least fifteen minutes each day."
Because basic computational skills are so vital when solving more difficult math problems, having a strong foundation in the basics gives students an advantage. And playing Medieval Math Battle makes acquiring that advantage a no-brainer for everyone involved.

Shanghai, China - Toivon Studio today is proud to announce the release of Kingdom of Pirates version 1.2 for iOS. Only within 2 months from the original release, Kingdom of Pirates, the latest MMORPG by Toivon Studio, has been downloaded several hundred thousand times. For such a short period, the developer has already released two major updates of this mobile game.
In Kingdom of Pirates, the most notorious pirates get united and set off on an unpredictable and unprecedented adventure. The new version of the game features a brand new virtual currency, which introduces a fishing system to the game. Pirates can choose among 5 different fishing rods, and try their luck for a good catch. There are dozens of fish species hiding in the depths of the sea. The best part is that fish can be exchanged for in-game items at the Pawnshop. So players can have endless fun and proceed in the game rapidly, without having to spend a dime.
With the new fishing feature, pirates can fish out not only different types of fish, but also guild fragments that unlock guild mode levels, where challenges are completed with the help of guildies. Victory will bring about gifts that will be rewarded to all members of the whole guild!
The luckiest pirates might also recover some treasure chests which have been long lost at sea. This is a reminder of the core story of the game - the search of the lost treasures of the legendary pirate Captain Drake. Pirates have united in this adventure full of exploring, plundering and pillaging.
The developer Toivon Studio also announces that a follow-up version 1.21 will be released almost immediately after Kingdom of Pirates 1.2 hits the App Store. Version 1.21 will provide a smoother adventure, due to effective optimizations, especially on the newly added fishing feature. The display of enemy guilds on Open Waters has been improved. In addition, the upcoming version will also make Chatroom accessible through Fishing interface.
