Like music I have on it, bj, thanks. Never thought of it as mp3 player. Showing my senior age! But audiobook and podcast player, am not familiar with. Games, forget it, little patience. Anyway, ipod, a great invention, would like to continue with a workable, wifi one. Suggestion for an upgrade?

Have you considered doing a restore? Maybe that will help.

Michael, thanks but too scary for me. Lucky if I remember how to turn thing on. Born too early for digital age. Gonna hope Comcast can guide me through process.

It's pretty simple. First plug iPod into computer and it will automatically
turn on. Once it's recognized in iTunes you can do a backup then once
that's complete, there is a restore button.
Once the restore is done, it will ask if you want set up as a new iPod or
restore backup. Chose the backup and app data, contacts, bookmarks, ect.,
will be resynced.
Then try connecting to the wifi.

Getting closer to problem, folks. After "working over" ipod so many times, and no fix, decided to take it to wifi free library. Worked like a charm! Not getting rid of it! Must be loose wifi connection at home then. Hoping a quick call to Comcast can remedy situation. Thanks for help so far!
