The CPUG Network Announces the Las Vegas SuperMeet, April 8, 2014 - Published on 01/15/14

The Creative Pro User Group (CPUG) Network have announced that the Thirteenth Annual Las Vegas SuperMeet will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the Royale Ballroom at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada. Doors will open at 4:30 PM and presentations will begin at 7PM. The Las Vegas SuperMeet promises to be the single largest gathering of Final Cut, Adobe, Avid and Autodesk editors, gurus and digital filmmakers during the 2014 Nab Show. Earlybird tickets go on sale, February 4, 2014.
Los Angeles, CA / Boston, MA - The Creative Pro User Group (CPUG) Network have announced that the Thirteenth Annual Las Vegas SuperMeet will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the Royale Ballroom at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada. Doors open at 4:30PM with the "SuperMeet Digital Showcase," featuring over 30 software and hardware developers. Presentations will begin at 7:00PM and continue until 11:00PM. Earlybird tickets go on sale online only for the price of $10.00 each plus ticket fee (Early Bird price ends March 10, 2014) and $10.00 for students and Teachers with valid student ID. It is expected this SuperMeet will sell out as historically every Las Vegas SuperMeet sells out.
The SuperMeet agenda has not been announced and will not until shortly before the event, but will feature user driven presentations from the likes of Blackmagic Design, Adobe and many others.
Rounding out the evening will be the always wild and crazy "World Famous Raffle" where tens of thousands worth of valuable prizes will be handed out to dozens of lucky winners.
Doors to the SuperMeet will open at 4:30PM with the "SuperMeet Digital Showcase," featuring over 30 software and hardware developers. Here, attendees can enjoy a few cocktails, network and party with industry peers, talk one on one with leading manufacturers and learn about the latest trends in collaborative editing workflows for postproduction and broadcast markets.

All photo effects may be previewed and applied to selected photos on a trial basis. If the result is satisfactory, the app assists in e-mailing the altered photo to friends and relatives, as well as posting them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google , and other social networks. Images may also be saved directly to the iPhone or iPad.
In order to quickly locate particularly impressive effects at any time, the app will save them in a favorites list. All that is required is a simple tap with the finger.
By the way, the free app also has a big brother. 1001 Photo Effects Pro offers 200 additional photo effects. Suitable for each effect up to eight sliders are available, so effect settings may be adjusted as desired. The advantage: The user receives an unlimited number of possible settings, allowing him to apply precise changes to a photo.
Another option is to mask parts of a photo with the finger, to apply an effect only to those specified areas. The Pro Version lets the user save a combination of photo and effect. It simplifies locating an already assigned effect at a later time, in order to change it.

Montpellier, France - Aquafadas, innovative developer of digital publishing solutions, announced that the French division of Metronews, the largest international newspaper in the world, today released a digital version of its free daily newspaper created using the Aquafadas Digital Publishing System. The new app, Metronews: le journal, is available now in the Apple Kiosk for viewing on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Readers are able to subscribe for free to any of the seven local editions of Metronews France - Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Nice-Cannes, Lille or Nantes - which will then be delivered to their device each weekday before 7am.
From their iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, readers will be able to view up to 15 back issues of the paper. Leveraging Aquafadas' award-winning digital publishing technology, each French local edition is converted automatically from the print PDF, requiring very little additional work to achieve this technical feat and providing immense value to both Metronews France and its readers.
Readers, including those outside of the metropolitan areas where issues are distributed, will have access to the exact print version of Metronews anywhere, any time. The digital version will also feature social media capabilities, allowing readers to share Metronews: le journal articles directly to Facebook and Twitter. Still in development is an enriched version of the Metronews app, which will allow readers to view videos, slideshows and special add-ons to enhance the reading experience.
