Entries for more than 300 common mineral species cover the vast majority of occurrences without presenting an overwhelming number of obscure species rarely encountered. The software provides hand sample photos, photomicrographs of thin sections, physical properties, 3D crystal structure animations, optical properties, classification, and occurrence data as well as partial data for many more species, varieties, groups, sub-groups, and series.
Search for color, hardness, and streak in field and classroom uses. Use the app as a companion to a polarizing light microscope by searching for birefringence or refractive index. Identify your unknown mineral through use of any or all 54 search criteria. The comprehensive search feature allows mineral identification by using known physical properties (such as color, streak, luster etc.) or crystal and optical properties. Or, you can visually search the hand sample photos and photomicrographs using the pop-up image galleries.
This database complements the authors' textbook, "Mineralogy and Optical Mineralogy," available from the Mineralogical Society of America.

They designed Montessori Letter Sounds to give children the opportunity to play with sounds, learn to identify them in words, know their letter sounds and write their first phonetic words. As they play, children earn marbles. These marbles are counted and used to unlock the activities when children have completed each step.

The app also offers cursive, script and capital letters. In the "image box", children can learn the words in French and in the "toolbox" they can trace letters in a sandbox or in a notebook.
If you would like your children to learn letter sounds and words in French, the French version of this app called Le Son des Lettres Montessori offers a unique "French as a Foreign Language" feature. When activated, this option allows English speaking children to listen to the instruction in English while playing with French sounds and words. Having experienced multi-lingual classrooms, the developers noticed that often the problem children face when trying to play a game in another language is that they don't understand what they are required to do. By adding this feature, English speaking children can learn French vocabulary and letter sounds and not be overwhelmed by the long instruction in that language.

Mina's Adventures - An Interactive Musical Radio Play For Children - Published on 01/22/14

Berlin, Germany - The 70-minute radio play tells the story of Mina and her friends as they make their first steps into their new lives at the enchanted musical school Cantus Magus. Here, the children will be taught to bewitch their fellow human beings with music and song. But the privilege to learn at this school has to be earned. So Mina and her new friends set out to master the difficult riddles and tests that are essential for their entry examination.
The producers of "Mina's Adventures" are two German authors and voice actors from Berlin - Jeffrey Wipprecht and Christian Zeiger. "With our app we want to present a new world of audio play to children and their parents. Children can discover the magical world of "Mina's Adventures" on their own. With the app they can make legs shake, frightened parrots lay eggs, allergic flowers sneeze, snarling dragons breathe fire and much more. The story also conveys important values such as friendship, love and honesty. There is a moral to the story."
Good news for all those children and young people who want to improve their German language skills - the app is bilingual. In the start menu you can easily choose the language that suits you best: English or German.
Development of the project:
All the texts and illustrations were developed especially for "Mina's Adventures". Well-known classical compositions such as Mozart's "A Little Night Music" and other new compositions take the children's ears on a musical adventure.
Stephie Theodora, who had her own radio show "Boogie Hour with Stephie Strumpet" on WTNR Radio Network, lends her striking voice and character to little Mina. A little, magical and yellow mobile phone, which plays an important role in the story, got its voice from talented Jonathan Tilley. Tilley has been acting in well-known musicals like "Mamma Mia!," "42nd Street" and "Cats" and was also involved in the creation of the audio book version of the New York Times' bestselling picture book "How Rocket Learned to Read."
The first manuscript of "Mina's Adventures" was drafted by Jeffrey Wipprecht in 2009 under the working title "Mina Lavina." In 2012 the story was then completed together with Christian Zeiger. The promising team then added talented app developers, audio engineers, illustrators, animators and renowned artists and composers to their team to make "Mina's Adventures" the perfect and absolutely thrilling piece of entertainment for children that it is.
Jeffrey Wipprecht (33) is member of the German association of voice actors. He worked at different radio stations and on many tv commercials. In 2011 he was involved in the production of another app called "A Better Speaker" with which you can learn to improve your language and pronunciation.
Christian Zeiger (22), also a voice actor, lends his voice to the German version of "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory". He was involved in movies like "Nanny McPhee" or "The Croods", too. Many years he spoke Freddie in nickelodeon hit series "iCarly". Besides his voice acting career he works on many productions on German stages an leads a group of youngsters to improve their acting skills.

Stephie Theodora, who had her own radio show "Boogie Hour with Stephie Strumpet" on WTNR Radio Network, lends her striking voice and character to little Mina. A little, magical and yellow mobile phone, which plays an important role in the story, got its voice from talented Jonathan Tilley. Tilley has been acting in well-known musicals like "Mamma Mia!," "42nd Street" and "Cats" and was also involved in the creation of the audio book version of the New York Times' bestselling picture book "How Rocket Learned to Read."
The first manuscript of "Mina&#
Jeffrey Wipprecht (33) is member of the German association of voice actors. He worked at different radio stations and on many tv commercials. In 2011 he was involved in the production of another app called "A Better Speaker" with which you can learn to improve your language and pronunciation.
Christian Zeiger (22), also a voice actor, lends his voice to the German version of "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory"

The game is set in a world war II universe, in which you get to play the allies against axis forces during great battles over Europe. You can either play with your friends on Game Center or challenge them also using Facebook.
The two armies take turns building and commanding units on a grid-based map. The objective is to defeat the enemy army. There are two ways to defeat an opponent: destroy every one of the opponent's units on the map or capture the opponent's headquarters. The terrain on a map affects unit range of movements and the defense attribute of units stationed in that terrain. Capturing cities and enemy buildings will give the player new funding's at the beginning of each turn, with which the player can create a variety of new units (soldiers, tanks, planes, ships...) to gain power over his opponent.

Hamburg, Germany - Calling out to all rogues and fans of RPGs: Blackguards - the new turn-based RPG from Daedalic Entertainment is now available worldwide for Mac and PC on Steam and GOG. This final version of the game includes all new features implemented based on the feedback collected during the Early Access Program.
Players who bought Blackguards via the Steam Early Access will receive an automatic update including the final version of the game.
Leading up to the release, Blackguards proved that, with their first venture into the RPG genre, Daedalic Entertainment once again have created a gripping gaming experience.
Gamespot were keen to highlight the detail of the 180+ individually designed battlemaps: "You see it most in the heavy focus on interaction with environmental objects scattered throughout the hexagonal grids, and in its best moments, Blackguards uses them to craft more rewarding battles than we recently saw in The Banner Saga."
