Drivers gain and lose points based on reports against them from others. Braselton, Georgia - CustomEgo has announced Carma 1.0.556, a new mobile app that allows users to score other drivers based on their performance on the road. Report drivers for good, bad, and even "humorous" behavior. Simply select their state, type in their tag number, and select a report. Click the submit button, and the game is on!
Carma has a simple interface with easy to use navigation. This app is not meant to be used while operating a motor vehicle. Users can view the map and see pushpins representing reports around them with numerous options available such as report type filters and pushpin display radius. One can also view their score, awards and achievements. There are over a hundred awards and achievements that are able to be unlocked upon reaching certain goals in the game or being reported numerous times for specific good report types which encourages good driving habits.
Carma never collects any personally identifying data for any user. Each user registers with only a nickname and email address when setting up their account and vehicle. Account information is not stored on the device and therefore can be used on any device supported by Carma. Whether it's a mobile browser based version of the app, a future Android version, or any iOS device, the user can log in with their email and password and have all of their history and statistics go with them. This also includes users who decide to upgrade from the free Carma - Lite to the full version of Carma.
Created by a former police officer, this app was designed with driver safety in mind. All drivers experience some sort of road rage at one time or another. This app gives those drivers an outlet and a safe way to do something to the other driver that upset them. It also gives drivers a way to thank others who drive in a polite manner. And ultimately it offers drivers a way to see how their driving habits stack up to the rest of the community and possibly notice a pattern of problem behavior that they can then correct.
