Well, define "stuck." ;)
As others have pointed out, that particular iPad is bound to your carrier. However, it has also retained much of it's value and could likely be easily sold to another person who has or would be happy with AT&T. If you are willing to then purchase the same generation "used" iPad, this time for Verizon, you should come out pretty much even except for the time lost and risk involved in used hardware transactions. There's also the issue of warranties and I'm presuming that your contract is "month-to-month" and so on.
I'm kinda surprised that the carriers don't have "swap" plans where they take your used one in trade. Seems like a good idea to me. Are you listening Verizon/AT&T?
You're never really stuck. It's just a question of how much time, effort, and sometimes money switching takes.
Cheers,
tod

the main reason I started this thread was because I'm still having trouble activating the "agree" button at the in of the polocies and such after signing up with at&t. I can't finish the sign up form. I'm going to need to go to the Apple store again this weekend and get them to find out why this is happening. I haven't had the time to go in the past couple of weeks due to work schedule and a death in the family. I was trying to avoid going back to Apple, but it looks like that's my only option. I've tried other suggestions this group and another group gave me, but still the same results. Thanks for all of the help though.

Have you tried agreeing to the contract from a computer rather than the iPad the agreement is for?

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Sometimes the "Agree" button does not activate until you do something to the page to indicate that you have "read" the agreement. It can as simple (and obtuse) as scrolling to the bottom of the agreement, or clicking a check box that says "I have read", or sometimes even clicking through a link to open the agreement itself.
Anyone remember clicking through this agreement recently?
Cheers,

Also, if you are that early in your ownership, you may still be within a 30-day return guarantee, assuming you want to rethink the ATT vs. Verizon thing. BTW, I don't have a dog in that fight.

If you have already encountered this Trojan, the program installs its
malicious dynamic library in the /[username]/Library/Preferen ces/
folder as the file "Preferences.dyld," so you can go to that location
and remove that file to dispose of the code.

That's a good idea. However, don't get a false feeling of security
if you have done this. The reports say that the Trojan disables this.

Apple malware update protects against PDF Trojan horse
by Dan Moren, Macworld.com Sep 27, 2011

How is that possible without executing some sort of code, script, or
whatever? If it's based in Java, it's easy to avoid it. I always keep
Java turned off.

The PDF Trojan of a few days ago (which was harmless, by the way) is
different than the current Flash installer Trojan, which apparently
is not harmless.

Is this happening via the code within Flash? I thought that Flash will
not do anything invasive unless you have the settings adjusted to
automatically do things.
If it's Java, why, simply turn it off. I never use it at all.

Oh, I understand that. If I come across a site that 'doesn't work', I
turn it on, and usually that remedies the situation. Once I'm done with
the site, off it goes again.

FORTUNE is releasing today All About Steve: The Story of Steve Jobs and
Apple From the Pages of FORTUNE, a new eBook available exclusively in
the Amazon.com Kindle Store (www.amazon.com/kindlestore) . The eBook
features three decades of FORTUNE's reporting on Steve Jobs and the
rise of Apple, including interviews with Jobs and Adam Lashinsky's
recent investigative piece, Inside Apple, which gives a behind-the
scenes look at how the company really works. All About Steve is priced
at $10.99 and can be downloaded for the Kindle
here:www.fortune.com/allaboutstev e.
All About Steve includes stories from veteran journalists Brent
Schlender, Peter Elkind and Lashinsky, who have spoken to Apple
employees and insiders at length. The eBook also contains an exclusive
interview with Jobs from 2008, as well as Bill Gates and Jobs' sit-down
with FORTUNE from 1991 on the future of computing. Business leaders
such as Andy Grove, Andrea Jung, Larry Ellison, Marc Andreessen, and
Bill Campbell weigh in on how Jobs changed both the tech industry and
society.
In addition, All About Steve includes many more stories chronicling the
history of Apple from its emergence as a market leader in PCs to the
creation of the iPod, iTunes, the iPhone, and the Apple Store. The
epilogue includes pieces from FORTUNE's Miguel Helft and Stanley Bing.
In his foreword to All About Steve, FORTUNE Managing Editor Andy Serwer
writes, "The stories contained in this new book from the editors of
Fortune lay out in remarkable and unparalleled detail that this was no
straight shot to success. Jobs, a man both loved and loathed,
encountered all manner of intrigue, brick walls, and pitfalls before
his ultimate vindication…. All these stories are the product of deep
reporting. In many cases our writers spent hours interviewing Steve and
delving into his mind…. The result is a singular journalistic
collection, which will leave you with a comprehensive picture of Steve
Jobs and Apple, a picture that is complex in the making yet simple in
its triumph."
All About Steve Is available for download worldwide in English on
Amazon.com. It is published by the FORTUNE Books, an imprint of Time
Home Entertainment, Inc.
Kindle books are "Buy Once, Read Everywhere"– customers can read them
