Entrepreneur and developer Iliya Yordanov today announces that his fourth software startup, SilverWiz, founded in 2010, has recently surpassed $1 million in paid downloads of the company's flagship app, MoneyWiz for Mac, iPhone & iPad. Yordanov, now 27, launched his first startup at age 15 and sold it 4 years later, investing the profits into his second venture. Selling his second company, he bootstrapped Cramzy, which scored with two best-selling iOS apps, 18,000 COOL JOKES and The River Test.
San Francisco, California - Entrepreneur and developer Iliya Yordanov today is pleased to announce that his fourth software startup, SilverWiz, has recently surpassed $1 million in paid downloads of the company's flagship app, MoneyWiz for Mac, iPhone and iPad. Yordanov, now 27, launched his first startup at age 15 and sold it four years later, investing the profits into his second venture. Selling his second company, he bootstrapped Cramzy, which scored with two best-selling iOS apps, 18,000 COOL JOKES and The River Test. With more than 8 million downloads, Yordanov sold Cramzy and started SilverWiz in 2010. Hiring a team of full-time developers, the young dealmaker took aim at the highly competitive market for personal finance apps. The result, his radically innovative app, MoneyWiz, became a Top 10 Finance app on the U.S. App Store and more than 25 other App Stores worldwide.
According to Yordanov, developers put too much emphasis on trying to open up a new niche. "I am an active mentor in an acceleration fund, and I am a regular at entrepreneurs' meetings. I can tell you that I've seen all sorts of fellow entrepreneurs. And there is one thing that most of them don't seem to get - everybody seems to think that they need to invent something that has never been done before, create a new market so to speak. The probability of creating a new market is one in a million. That's one of the reasons we see so many failed entrepreneurs. While I think creating a new market is fantastic, I must note that this is not the only way you can contribute to make the world a better place."
He compared this with his own experience as an entrepreneur. "I decided to go into a very saturated market, personal finance software. This calm and well-established market doesn't see much innovation. I found that there are a thousand things that can be done better to bring the overall standard of quality higher. This is exactly what we did with MoneyWiz, and that's the main reason for our huge success. We created a disruption within a market that rarely sees it, and we did that for the benefit of our customers."

Social/mobile game developer PlayScreen will donate $10,000 to a charity of Mr. Baldwin's choice if he scores 400 points or more. A score of 400 is about the average score for players on any given day.
In Word Carnivale, players are pitted against their friends in a "best of three" contest to form words within the allotted time. Unlike a conventional word-finding game, Word Carnivale replaces static blocks with balloons that pop when words are formed, allowing new balloons to float up. There are always simple words to find, due to the changing nature of the game board.
Word Carnivale hit the top of the charts for iPhone Educational and Word Games, soon after its launch in December 2012. The free game has received rave reviews from adults, children and parents for its addictive play and vocabulary boosting abilities. Even players that speak English as a second language have progressed in the game, achieving impressive scores and gaining an improved vocabulary in only a few weeks of play. Now version 4.0 allows the user to copy either an individual intake item or an entire's day of intake items to today, thus vastly speeding up entry of data if the user eats the same foods frequently. All of the apps in the iNutrient suite are universal and can also be run on the iPads using their full screen area.
New in a previous update to all 10 iNutrient apps (iCarbs, iCholesterol, iFiber, iKals, iPotassium, iProteins, iSatFat, iSodium, iSugars and Vitamin K) was the capability to record Custom Serving Sizes from 1 to 500 grams in 0.1 gram increments. Users can easily adjust the amounts while viewing the weight in not only grams, but also kilograms, ounces and pounds. You can drag any item that can be uninstalled onto AppDelete: Applications, Widgets, Preference Panes, Plugins, Screensavers, etc. You can also activate AppDelete in many ways: dragging items onto main window, onto dock icon, selecting in menu, right-clicking using AppDelete workflow, dragging from Launchpad, and throwing items in the trash. When the preview screen appears you can uncheck any items you would like to exclude.

Bringing together noted speakers and attendees from around the world, the event will happen in Cologne's lovely "Old Auction House". A "hack day" will also be organized the day after the conference, bringing us all together again.
Kerpen, Germany - Manuel "StuFF mc" Carrasco Molina, owner of Pomcast.biz, makes of the Mac apps "Disk Alarm" and "Comments"; is organizing this year again the Cocoa/Objective-C Conference on September 17th & 18th, in beautiful Cologne, Germany. "StuFF mc" is also know for its Pomcast podcast which interviewed among others Steve Wozniak, Aaron Hillegass and many Cocoa Developers. Over the years, many of those developers became closed friends to him and don't look any further, those friends are the speakers of the conference.
As an added bonus, StuFF mc is offering all the 2012 Videos (that is 10 Sessions which normally costs 9 Euro / Unit) for FREE! All you have to do is book a ticket and you'll get a URL to download those videos.
It's very important to note that even though it happens in Germany, the whole conference will happen in English. Each Session, Panel, Information will be given in English, and the whole "Team" will obviously attend you in English.
Names likes Mike Lee, Steve "Scotty" Scott (from NSConference!) or Alex Von Below might sound familiar to some of you. Mike has worked at Delicious Monsters, before starting a company called Tapulous, then working for the Mother Ship (Apple Inc), then built "Appsterdam" in The Netherlands and recently released an iOS game about chemistry.
Steve "Scotty" Scott started to be known back in the days with the "Late Night Cocoa" Podcast, before he organized the first Independent Cocoa Conference in Europe, NSConference, back in 2009. This is mainly what inspired StuFF mc to start Objective-Cologne in 2012.
Alex von Below is one of the most known Cocoa Developers in Germany. He has been developing as well as teaching the matter for many many years. Like Mike, he was "there before the iPhone, mind you!" so he knows this stuff!
Katharina Hausmann & Erik Romijn were attendees last year, starting a tradition Stuff wants to bring back every year: if you attend, you are risking to be asked to speak! Damien Gosset is a close friend of StuFF mc from France. He's the one who recommended the amazing "Zino" last year.

Theodolite overlays real-time information about position, altitude, bearing, range, and horizontal/vertical inclination on the live camera image of an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, turning the device into a sophisticated electronic viewfinder with heads up display (HUD). Uses are endless, and Theodolite is great for outdoor sports, hiking, boating, hunting, golf, sightseeing, photography, home projects, and navigation. Theodolite lets users take geo-tagged and geo-stamped camera images, screenshots, movies, and HUD-based screen movies directly from the app. The app includes features like a navigation calculator, map with live markers, data logging, e-mail export with KML data, system-wide clipboard integration, percent grade display, mil compass readout, optical rangefinders (including a mil-based reticle and sniper-style stadiametric graphs), colored lens filters to improve use in dark conditions and preserve night vision, and team tracking.
Theodolite supports military grid reference system (MGRS) coordinates, universal transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinates, British/Irish National grid, and six latitude/longitude formats. An optional World Geodetic Datum Pack adds over 220 geodetic datums to the app for more accurate position and altitude computation from GPS data. Datums include NAD-27, NAD-83, OSGB-36, ED-50, and hundreds of others, covering regions and countries on all continents around the world.
