Hi All,
Bought an iPhone and use AT&T and bought the phone unlocked to avoid contracts and to try to test various servers ? So far the phone is not dropping calls and I use my Verizon router for the Wifi ! Was talking online to a friend who has a lot of Apple products such as the 27 inch Mac, iPhone, and iPad and we were just curious as the weather has been so unstable to know if it is safe to charge using the charging connectors that came with the devices???
Unplugging as just got a severe weather alert :-(
Jane with the 27 inch Mac and iPhone and iPad ! TY I have one more quick question? Has anyone else ever gotten ads on their photo stream? I got one for HBO and AppleCare says they think it must have linked to the weather channel ??? Appreciate any and all help ! Thank You

Howdy.
It would be safer to use a good surge protector device. I use UPS
battery boxes and several surge protectors in my house but when there
is a strong lightening storm I still shut things down and sometimes
even unplug stuff.
A surge protector protects from power fluctuations but the battery in
an iPhone or iPad also does that.
BTW. There are a number of 3rd party charging devices you can get that
would reduce charging time.
I have a dual USB port 10 watt wall adapter that I bought. The
included charger adapter from Apple is a 5 watt device and is fine. A
10 watt device will charge it faster. Some of these devices will be
10 watt overall (or 5 w per port) and some are 10 w for each port.
I also have a 10 watt charger for the car's power port (used to be
called a cigarette lighter).

I use surge protectors with all of my charging devices as a safety precaution & have never had any ads show up on my photo stream. Be safe in the severe weather!

FYI....You are correct. Purchased the enclosure and used disk utility to format and partition the new HD properly. It wasn't that difficult after the "due dilligence" research etc. Installed the new HD using OWC online tutorial. Very impressed with their tutorial. Had no problems whatsoever with the physical installation of the HD nor with the restoration of my systems onto the new HD using my external HD thru Time Machine back up. Am up and running with nary a glitch. Thank You all...Otto, Daly & Jim.... so much for your able assistance. It certainly would have been much more difficult without your help.

My sister uses this combination, but I don't know if it's the same brand keyboard. She loves it. She likes the way the iPad tilts to view w the keyboard available below. Sure is lighter than a powerbook.

Howdy.
Can't testify about the Logitech brand device but there is a Kensington
KeyFolio™ Pro 2 combo stand, keyboard, and iPad holder in my house
(I'm not the user).
I've tried it a couple of times and I like the feel of the Kensington
keyboard.
The user took it to a conference and took notes on it with the thing
sitting on his lap for several hours and liked how that worked very
much.
He tried a Microsoft Surface tablet and said it was nearly impossible
to hold on a lap and type.
