For project Management:

We are using Smartsheet, chosen as the easiest solution for our very limited needs. As a cloud solution, it's especially good as a shared cloud solution.
For simple flow-charting, I use Open Office Draw, but Smartdraw was recently recommended to me as a better-than-VIsio replacement.

that URL take us to a page that requires a username and password, but it says yahoo.com not Google or anything related to iCal.

Thanks Brent, I have been getting what others have written about with my yahoo mail--it keeps losing my password. I use ATT for my internet and they gave me the att.net address that comes from Yahoo. This message keeps popping up as well as the message that I have to put in my password. Maybe I should just get rid of the att.net address. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tanya

I'm not the best one to answer questions about calendars, but I believe there is a problem trying to set up iCal events with third part email. I'm not speaking of invitations and accepting them, I am speaking about setting them up. The problem is namely, it can not be done.
Go into iCal to set it up, not an email program or suite.
Suggestion, either set up an appointment at the Genius Bar, or since you have a new iMac, call AppleCare and have them walk you through how to create a new iCal event. Just tell them that you are getting a yahoo error message to help them sort it out. The error message is not coming from Apple or iCal.
The URL https://caldav.calendar. yahoo .com/principals/users/tanya.metaksa @att.net / encountered HTTP error 404, is telling me that you are trying to create a calendar even in your att.net account, which subcontracts from yahoo.
That does not come with OS X, that comes from your att.net account. If you are trying to create an event that will show in iCal, first open iCal.

Please help,
I am overtyping a document supplied to me from elsewhere and I get these little dots under some of the text which I know means that the text will not show in a print out. I need to get rid of these but have forgotten how to do it, and Word help is useless. Where to I go to get rid of these little dots so the text will be visible under all circumstances?

If these are only visible when formatting marks are shown, go to Format, Font and uncheck hidden.

Beats me, but this seems to bear on the problem.
"Help .... i have just loaded microsoft office 2010. used word once, next day i tries to use it .... no text is typing all i can see is dots. It looks like it is writing but all i can see is the very ends of the letters"
"Select the invisible text and press Ctrl+Q and Ctrl+Spacebar. It sounds as
if your line spacing has shrunk. Alternatively, make sure that your Zoom is
set to 100%."
