DSL is not available at our new house. We are looking at Verizon 4G; however, there is a monthly limit of 4 GB on the basic plan. 4G gives a faster internet connection than slow or moderate DSL rates. The monthly limit is potentially a problem.
The OS installer for Mountain Lion was 4.4 GB. I could take my laptop to the local library or Apple store to down load the OS installer, but lugging my Mac tower around is not very convenient.
Does anyone here use a 4G or similar connection that has monthly data limits? How do you get everything that you need?
Thanks for the help. Gordon

Currently 4G or cellular data is a limiting and expensive way to connect to the internet.
I assume that you are too far from the DSL office, and cable may also not be available. Have you looked at satellite?

Don't you just have to quit and restart Safari?

Under Safari Preferences my only options are: General, Bookmarks, Tabs, Autofill, Passwords, Security, Privacy, Notifications, Extensions and Advanced.
I do have Java listed under Security. The only options available there are:
Fraudulent Sides: (checked) Warn when visiting a fraudulent website
Web Content: (checked) Enable JavaScript and (not checked) Block pop-up windows
Internet Plug-ins: (not checked) Allow Java and (checked) Allow all other plug-ins
There are no other options to look at or change. I've not found Java under any of the other options for Preferences either.
I'm at a loss! Any other ideas?
Thanks!

That is clear as mud.
JavaScript has nothing to do with Java, other than an unfortunately similar name.
JavaScript is considered safe.

Anyone using Photoshop, adjusting your computer cursor to anything but NORMAL will leave a painting gap in the Photoshop Brush Cursor. That means you will not know where the edge of your brush paints until you click and paint.
I've wracked my brain twice trying to figure out this issue over several years. You'd think I would learn the first time.

Howdy.
Apple had a running total on its main web site of the App Store
downloads with prizes for the 50 Billionith Download.
Someone has won the prize but the winner has not yet been announced.
The main prize is a $10,000 USD gift certificate for the App Store.
I was sure a member of Mac Support Central would win it!
So fess up folks. Who won?
With $10,000 in free apps you might even be able to afford Adobe's new
Cloud subscription rates for software!

I referred to "do what you want but . . . ." because I'm not sure that
as you add new files to this View and arrangement whether they will
automatically resort themselves as you want or whether you will have to
keep repeating that "Clean Up by . . . " command to resort the view
after each new file has been added.
Denver Dan
p.s. Are you a long distance sailor? There's a Chichester Street near
my house here in Virginia but then half the place names in Virginia are
from English origins including Fairfax County where I live. The 3rd or
5th Lord Fairfax who received the original land grant is buried in the
Episcopal church yard in Winchester, Virginia, just over the Blue Ridge
from here.

Thank you Denver Dan
No I am not a sailor, just a retired man from quite a different profession. I guess your Chichester Street is named for my nearest town, which has existed for 2000 years, since Roman times, if you like history, you would love to visit this area which is steeped in history ..
