Indianapolis, Indiana - Today, Blocks Rock, LLC reaches a new milestone as the company expands to include new ventures with the release of Blocks Rock! onto the iTunes App Store. Inspired and brought to life from a table-top game, this innovative app combines the educational, competitive and colorful qualities of the table-top game into a contemporary medium.
Over the course of 8 years, the Blocks Rock game project has evolved into something never expected. Expanding from a table-top game, the school then received alumni funding for the high school Entrepreneurship classes to develop the game into a marketable company. The goal was for company proceeds to go back to the school, supporting educational programming. Blocks Rock! has taken another giant leap forward with the development of an app version of the fun and exciting tabletop game.

Independent developer Yaroslav Konov today announces StarSphere 1.1 for iOS, his updated innovative platformer set in outer space. The ultra-challenging new game is different from most other entries in this genre. Played against the black background of space, most neon-string platforms are vibrating, and they transfer added momentum to the sphere when it lands, enabling long periods of continuous jumping. Also unusual is that players must successfully traverse both vertical and horizontal mazes.

StarSphere is both a horizontal and vertical scroller, with most of the action going from left to right or bottom to top. The pulsating neon-sphere does not rest when it lands on a vibrating platform; it bounces in place. Players can leap left or right using their choice of touch or tilt controls. When players jump, the StarSphere propels itself upward and to the left or right. If players jump immediately from platform to platform, they gain momentum from each vibrating platform, which enables long runs before pausing. Expert players will exploit this feature by continuously harnessing platform energy, never pausing, and carefully navigating puzzles by controlling intentional falls and direction of movement.
The goal of the game is to collect as many gold stars as possible while leaping between platforms. Each is worth 30 points, and the game includes a variety of bonuses and achievements. Players begin the game with 3 lives, and falling off the bottom of the screen costs one life. StarSphere includes 15 levels of play, which include vibrating platforms of many shapes and colors. As the sphere moves it leaves behind a motion trail of mini-spheres, and when paused on a platform, its bouncing creates visible shock waves. Gameplay is always exciting, with detailed, vibrating neon-strings, non-vibrating neon-barriers, and a pulsating StarSphere leaping gracefully from platform to platform.
"My goal was to design a platform game that was different from the others," commented developer Yaroslav Konov. "Now that StarSphere is available in the App Store, I think I have accomplished that goal."

With each additional Incident recorded in its database, the app can provide increasingly accurate Summary information, which will help the user determine what to avoid, which treatments are best, and the preventive measures, if any, that work. Also in the Summary are: Average Duration, Common First Symptoms, Common Triggers, Average Frequency, and Average Severity.
The app includes a library of preventive measures, and users can track the frequency and start date of each measure they adopt. This information is included in the analysis presented in the Summary.

Getting stuck without a lift is frustrating, but at night it can even be dangerous, when streets become unsafe with crime and alcohol related incidents. Traveling around the globe offers amazing opportunities for adventure and cultural exchange. Caught up in the excitement, few people stop to think about what they would do or who they would call if they had an accident or became ill abroad. If an emergency occurs, people now can rely on echo112.
"Emergencies by their nature can occur anywhere, anytime, even while on holiday," said Dr. Jocelyn Corniche, M.D., founder of MobileMed. "If you are out of the country, you often don't know specifically where you are or the emergency services number to call. Connecting with local fire, police and medical authorities as quickly as possible through echo112 can help save lives."
Elegantly designed and easy to use, echo112 connects users and emergency services with the tap of a finger. In case of an emergency, a user activates the app by simply pressing the SOS button. Using GPS tracking, echo112 quickly locates the mobile device and transmits its coordinates. Local emergency operators easily retrieve the coordinates and dispatch lifesaving services to the caller. Even without active data service on the mobile device, callers can still send their location to fire, police and medical emergency services in any country using echo112. The app will send an SMS text message to relay a user's emergency alert and their location.
After field-testing the app's initial version in Switzerland for two years, echo112 received high praise from the public through over 150,000 downloads. By dramatically cutting the time needed to reach an injured or sick person, the app saved lives during the trial. The top free app in Switzerland, echo112 is now available to all worldwide. With Prizmo 2, we really wanted to build the best camera-based scanning app for iPhone and iPad (and Mac too). We've been hard at work over the last 16 months to achieve that goal.
