"We decided to put an unusual twist on Texas Hold'em to give it a broader appeal by combining it with memory games, and give the new hybrid a social gaming aspect," said JackApps co-founder and chief designer. Game Play:
You get two cards, face-up. The other 18 cards are hidden ... at the start. Then they flip over briefly and players struggle to memorize. The tile cards are hidden again and players must probe their memories to form Texas Hold'em hands. Players can choose from four boosters to gain extra time, keep more cards visible, highlight card positions or see all cards again for a few seconds. Invite friends to play against you, face a random real-life opponent, or practice alone to prepare to meet'em and beat'em in social gaming.
Can the poker shark from Facebook overcome your dead-eye powers of recollection? Will the calculations of the math genius go all fuzzy under the pressure of the clock? Will the laid-back attitude of the casual gamer become an advantage by dodging the memory-clouding stress?

Using this app is simple. Before their date, users enter their "Best Date" criteria and upload a photo of their potential love interest. The photo morphs a little more with each answered question.
The app also gives an overall rating of the date on a scale of 1-10. The rating is tailored to each user, as it is based on the criteria they entered before their date. Users have the option of rating up to 4 dates to compare notes, or rating the same person repeatedly, over a number of dates. Putting a new spin on matching games, Save the Aliens uses a wheel with movable concentric circles, which contain colored jewels that must be rotated to match the provided jewel code. The goal of the game is to maneuver the circles to match the correct jewels and teleport the aliens to safety, before time runs out. Taking the action of classic matching games to a new level, Save the Aliens features a wheel that can move 360 degrees around the screen.
Players must employ strategy to complete the timed levels, acquire the most points, and advance levels in Save the Aliens. Unlike other matching games where players match objects in a square field, Save the Aliens players can move the rings of the circle in 360 degrees, providing the ability to use jewels from all over the field.
Set on an alien planet where friendly, animated, alien creatures must evacuate their home world, Save the Aliens requires players to engage the planetary teleporter by sliding three rings and matching colored jewels. Using a wheel with colored jewels in concentric three-ring circles, users must use their finger to turn each of the rings to build a code out of colored gems. Players must align the jewels according to the required color code in order to teleport each alien to the mother ship. A level is successfully completed when the player teleports all of the aliens before time runs out.
When jewels of a specific color are not available on the playing field, gamers must free up space for them by matching three jewels of the same color and removing them from the field. When jewels are removed from the field, additional jewels are added creating more matching opportunities.
Save the Aliens features many options that increase level difficulties and rewards. The Multiplier Bar helps players boost their scores by matching three jewels with the correct color indicated in the Multiplier Bar. Players can increase their scores with successful matches during this timed bonus option. Other options that enhance gameplay include special effect jewels that allow players to unleash game special effects and bonuses. For example, players match three Bomb Jewels to activate the bomb effect. When the bomb is active, and a player selects a jewel color, all jewels of the same color will be destroyed, adding points to a player's score and allowing more jewels onto the playing field. Players may also activate Swap Jewel, an effect that allows the player to swap the jewels' positions during a 10-second bonus time. The Time Jewel effect adds eight seconds to the time level, giving players extra time to complete the puzzle tasks.
Save the Aliens features 4 unique planets with 21 levels each. Each planet contains new gameplay challenges, creating a unique, fun, and challenging experience. Alchemy Games will be releasing additional planets and game play experiences, making this a dynamic game that will keep even the most skilled gamers challenged. Players may follow the latests news via Twitter and Facebook. Gamers may also compete with others via Apple's Game Center's rankings and achievements.

The G-Startup competition was bigger this year than ever and it attracted over 100 applications from 17 countries. The finals took place in Beijing last week. This year's winner of the main track is BeiZ from Finland. BeiZ makes educational games for children and has created the child-friendly Lola Panda games. The Global Mobile Internet Conference is Asia's largest mobile Internet conference. It was held from 9-11 May, 2012 in Beijing and had over 5000 visitors.
Beijing, China - The G-Startup competition was bigger this year than ever and it attracted over 100 applications from 17 countries. Companies took part in a two-track competition for "best mobile internet startup company": a "seed" track for new companies and the main "growth" track. The finals took place in Beijing last week. As organizer Gurpeet Singh observed, "The best 24 companies had a tough challenge".
This year's winner of the main track is BeiZ from Finland. BeiZ makes educational games for children and has created the child-friendly Lola Panda games. Lola Panda helps children to learn the alphabet and mathematics and to solve puzzles. Lola Panda games have been played millions of times on smart phones, tablets and computers.
Judges of the competition came from leading venture capitalists, angel investors, and industry leaders, including Sequoia, SK Telecom Ventures, IDG Capital and GSR Ventures. The awards ceremony was conducted by Net Cloud advisor Philip Johnson.
"It was fabulous to win this amazingly tough competition, "says CEO Mika Heikinheimo. "There were lots of great companies here and winning the main track was an awesome experience. We are just closing our first round of funding so the timing for this win could not have been better. BeiZ will be looking for further financing soon due to the explosion of interest in educational games and the continued growth of digital distribution."

New to all 8 iNutrient apps (iCals, iCarbs, iCholesterol, iFiber, iProteins, iSatFat, iSugars and Vitamin K) is the capability to record Custom Serving Sizes from 1 to 500 grams in 0.1 gram increments. Users can easily adjust the amounts while viewing the weight in not only grams, but also kilograms, ounces and pounds. In addition to immediate weight updates as you change the number of grams, the nutrient content and calories get updated also. This makes it easy to record the exact serving size you're looking for based on any of the variables: 9 for Vitamin K, 6 for iCals, and 7 for each of the others.
Startup times for all of the 8 iNutrient apps is now considerably faster than before.
The iCholesterol app provides information about foods and how they are rated for dietary cholesterol content. This is given as a means to assist in deciding which foods to eat. This can help to make sure users don't exceed their recommended daily amount of Dietary Cholesterol. The following colors help readily identify which is which:
* Black = Rated extremely high in Cholesterol (151 - 641 mg)
* Dark Red = Rated very high in Cholesterol (81 - 150 mg)
* Red = Rated high in Cholesterol (50 - 80 mg)
* Orange = Rated moderately high in Cholesterol (31 - 50 mg)
* Yellow = Rated moderate in Cholesterol (21 - 30 mg)
* Light Green = Rated moderately low in Cholesterol (11 - 20 mg)
* Green = Rated low in Cholesterol (6 - 10 mg)
* Cyan = Rated very low in Cholesterol (1 -5 mg)
* White = Rated extremely low in Cholesterol (less than 1 mg)
There are eight tables listing foods:

The All Foods table includes a search capability to quickly find food servings you are interested in.
