The Pages Templates pack includes 1,080 templates designed to add sparkle to text and let users focus on their message rather than struggle with design. All photo layouts feature media placeholders, allowing users to neatly place an image and easily crop it into a customized shape.

The upgraded package offers the full range of templates introduced in earlier versions, including the Brochure, Business Card, Greeting, Flyer, and Invitations templates. Most of the templates can be printed on both A4 paper, the standard size in most countries, and U.S. letter-sized paper, the most common format in the United States and Canada.

Users can view samples of the themes and purchase Pages Templates on the Graphic Node website. After the product is downloaded and installed on a computer, the new themes automatically appear in the Templates Pages Chooser. The collection is also available in the Mac App Store.

Wurzburg, Germany - Smartphones and social media are nowadays revolutionizing people's communication behavior and their everyday lives. With the smartphone, for the first time GPS receivers are finding their way into people's pockets and are changing the way they orient themselves, how they plan and go about their outdoor activities for the weekend or for longer vacation tours, and how they ultimately share these experiences with friends. Among smartphone users, the classic city or hiking map in 2D is thus usually left at home in favor of a more favorable app.

Just in time for the outdoor season, Maps 3D comes up with an update. Ranked as the bestselling outdoor app for months on the iPhone in Germany, Italy, Austria and other European countries, Maps 3D is kicking off a feature offensive with numerous intelligent and innovative enhancements: ReverseTrack, intermediate destination and a comprehensive trip export function. With the latter, users can post their recorded routes along with waypoints and photos with a simple tap of a finger, email them, twitter them or share them with friends on their Facebook wall. A link in the email or from the wall takes those interested to the route, which can then be displayed either in Google Maps or Google Earth, as they wish. The photos taken along the route can be displayed by clicking on them.

New feature: Follow tracks in both directions

The movingworld team developed the ideas for ReverseTrack and intermediate destinations as part of a weeks-long hiking and programming retreat in the mountains. With ReverseTrack, walkers, hikers, bicyclists or horseback riders can follow downloaded tracks in both directions - an extremely useful function that no other outdoor tool provides. "You can almost always take a route in two directions - so it's been annoying up till now when the route found ran in the opposite direction to your own," said movingworld's CEO Moritz Gaupp getting to the heart of the solved problem. Only Maps 3D now displays the stretch of the route behind you in addition to the meters of altitude to go - and what's more, in both directions.

New feature: Simplifying orientation with intermediate destination

With the intermediate destination function, movingworld is showing a new approach to simplifying orientation in the field - especially when there's no ready-made tour available. As before, you can set a destination which is led to by a line. The distance to it is always precisely calculated. Now an intermediate destination can be set over which the line is redirected to the destination. Thus, distance and direction to the intermediate destination are always available without losing view of the overall destination. Both destinations are visualized in the compass. "Thinking in waypoints is much closer to the real needs of day-trippers: you want to know how far it is to the next museum, the next apple spritzer in the bicyclist restaurant or to the peak, and in what direction you've got to keep going," says Gaupp about the advantages.

The technical hurdles have been lowered for everyday people

When the smartphone generation plans, they look at the destination region in advance on Google Earth, click their trip together or download a ready-made trip from one of the many free portals. "Lots of users upload their own trips and make them available to other users," explains Gaupp, adding, "Not too long ago this was just for techie nerds, but now completely new communities are growing around this. The technical hurdles have been significantly lowered, so that everyday people can find their way around the portals."

Mass compatibility due to worldwide standards and intuitive 3D-view

Something that's important for mainstreaming is the worldwide standard for trip imports: the files end in ".gpx" in which the trails are stored precisely. This allows anyone today to grab almost any route in the world, online and for free - from a sightseeing city tour of Berlin to a crossing of the Alps on foot to a ski tour in the US. With Maps 3D as the market leader among iPhone outdoor apps, there's an additional unique function that traditional paper maps can't offer: an interactive 3D view. For this, movingworld uses satellite data from NASA and developed an exact 3D model from NASA's terrain scans of the whole earth. The practical benefit: "Instead of having to tediously interpret contour lines on a paper map or a traditional GPS device, your own path is revealed - right into the mountains - three-dimensionally and thus significantly more intuitive," says Gaupp. In less than a year, Maps 3D has been able to win over 300,000 iPhone owners, 100,000 of which are in Germany
alone. And the download figures in the last six months have once again markedly picked up speed.

600.000 volunteers contributes to the "Wikipedia of maps"

At least as important for the mass compatibility of map apps is the availability of free, high-quality digital map data. The OpenStreetMap (OSM), a kind of Wikipedia for maps which 600,000 volunteers around the world contribute to, is currently bringing about the breakthrough. "With the advent of GPS-enabled smartphones, the days of obscenely expensive GPS tools for pros are gone. The maintenance update to version 2.3.5 increases the visibility of the built-in tutorials, adds two new options for archiving email attachments from Apple Mail, and improves a number of other user interface details. Available from the support assistant, the one place for all support and learning resources in DEVONtechnologies apps, the tutorials explain everyday tasks step-by-step from creating databases to, e.g., importing files, searching effectively, and protecting data from prying eyes. The Internet-based content will also be extended in the coming months with even more tutorials and videos.

Users who have integrated DEVONthink Pro or Pro Office with their email workflow will like the new scripts coming with version 2.3.5. They allow to copy documents attached to selected email messages to DEVONthink or even automatically archive attachments through Apple Mail rules. Scripts for archiving single messages and messages with their attachments are available, too, and so emailing documents "to DEVONthink" is just a matter of creating a mail rule and adding the desired ready-to-use script to it.

Other new and enhanced features include the Dashboard widget saving notes that have not yet been sent to DEVONthink, more reliable PDF indexing, better and faster text rendering, and more reliable workarounds for issues in OS X 10.8 "Mountain Lion". The obligatory bug fixes and performance improvements complete the update.

"We've had tutorials right inside all our commercial apps for months yet quite a few people didn't find them. We have now made them much more visible to help new users getting started much easier. Applications with DEVONthink's complexity have, naturally, a steeper learning curve than one-purpose apps but we're committed to assist here in any way we can," says Eric Bohnisch-Volkmann, DEVONtechnologies' President.

It has just received its second update, which includes new features to increase the usability and ease of the app.

The already clean user interface has been updated, as well. With the new update, users have the ability to add destinations from contacts' addresses, business name search results, and their current location. It is now possible to modify the name of a destination, which makes the directions tab easier to read.

Route is targeted at couriers, delivery people, and anyone else who wants to save gas by finding the shortest route while running errands or planning a vacation. It uses an advanced genetic algorithm to determine a solution to the extremely difficult traveling salesman problem.

The iOS application contains a map view and a list view for adding and modifying destinations. These destinations can be moved to the beginning and end of the route. After adding destinations, the optimal route can be calculated, and then the directions for the entire route can be viewed. Each route is saved to allow the user to view it at a later time.

The game enables players to sing one of the hundreds of available songs and send the recording to their friends, who are supposed to guess the name and the artist. The game is available for iPhone and iPad devices on Appstore now! The rules of Sing Something the Game are simple:

1. Player sings one of song from selected category
2. Then sends it over to a friend, who is supposed to guess the name
3. Both players get coins for the correct answer
4. They change turn and repeat

Sing Something the Game includes hundreds of popular songs by many famous artists and bands. The songs are divided into various categories, based on the theme, artist or time, when they were recorded, including oldies songs, 90s, 2000s and 2010-2012. All the songs come with provided video hints, so if the player is not sure about the melody, a hint will be available. If none of the three songs selected is suitable for the player, there is a bomb, which will generate a new list of songs.

After picking the song, the singing begins. To get more coins, the players are able to pick harder challenges, such as using no words or playing on the Instruments. As soon as the players finish, it is sent over to their Facebook friends, who are responsible for finding out the name and the artist of the song. Hangman principle is used for the guessing - players get the alphabet and pick out the letters which they think are included in the name of the song and in the name of the artist. The players can make two mistakes before the turn is over. If the guessing player also selects the proper challenge (such as using no words or using Instruments), coins both players get will multiply.

By earning coins, the players are able to exchange them for access to more songs & categories, remove in-game advertisement or to get bombs used for shuffling songs. Apart for correct guessing, the players are able to get more coins in the in-game shop, or by becoming fans of Sing Something on Facebook.

* Localized number formatting - Numerical values appear nicely formatted based on your device's locale setting.

* User Interface improvements - The app now provides a more unified user experience. The app's main color scheme is applied to all UIs. Additionally, a new calendar has been introduced which makes it easier to quickly select or update the date of trips and trip items.

Designed as an intelligent assistant for international travelers, the app stores all expenses in both the local and converted, home currencies. With a high-end, dark wood-grain GUI, the app includes no instructions for use; all operations are intuitive and trouble-free. One-time set-up includes entering the user's language, home currency, and the frequency of exchange rate updates. The designers have paid great attention to human factors.

For example, English, Spanish, French, Italian and German appear in their respective places in the scrolling list that appears by touching "Your Language", but the group of five most common languages also appears at the head of the list. Similarly, the app defaults to US dollars, with the yen, euro, swiss francs, british pounds and Canadian dollar leading an alphabetical list of 156 different currencies.

Set-up complete, the home page displays four buttons: Travel Expenses, Currency Converter, Translator, and Quick Add. A summary of the last expense is also shown on the main screen for convenience. The quick add function allows fast expense entry, and goes straight to the entry page of the last trip.

Travel Expenses is the heart of the app, and the Travel Expenses page contains an artfully designed scrolling list of all trips ordered by date by default. The order of trips and expense items can be customized. The user may substitute any photo or graphic for the generic icon displayed with each travel expense listing, which includes the trip's label (i.e. the country or city), the description of the expense (e.g. work, personal, etc.), the date and the total amount of all expenses, automatically converted to the user's home currency.

Selecting any entry brings up an itemized listing of each individual expense for that particular trip. When entering an expense in the local currency the user may enter a description using the pop-up alphanumeric keyboard, or choose a predefined category. Included, with appropriate icons, are: Transportation (Flight), Cash Withdrawal, Taxi, Local Transportation, Hotel, Camping, Fuel, Road Tolls, Souvenirs, Food & Drink, Treatment (Hospital), Shopping, Entertainment, Additional Fees, and Other. Sums are entered using the built-in, multi-function calculator. Both the trips and the expenses scrolling list is fully editable, and displays individual expenses in both local and home currencies, plus the date and description. Expense items also display the corresponding category.

The currency converter function features side-by-side odometer displays for going from any one of 156 currencies to another. The large entry keypad also includes a calculator function. Results are displayed in the dual odometer highlight window with the currency listing. For example, entering 1,555 displays "Japanese Yen - 1,555 JPY" on the left cylinder, and "US Dollars - 20.202 USD" on the right.

The translator function employs two text fields, each with a labeled flag beside it. The user selects his native language/flag and enters the word or phrase to be translated in the text field. The translator supports copy and paste functionality, allowing translation of eMails or web content. Selecting any of 51 languages displays the translation in red type in the second text field.
