UK based game publisher Funbox Media introduces TweetDAQ 1.0.1, its new social networking app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Using Twitter's Open API, TweetDAQ delivers a competitive game element to the Twitter phenomena. TweetDAQ offers Game Center integration, with leader boards, as well as unique stats such as 'Sphere of Influence.'
Cheltenham, United Kingdom - The games publisher Funbox Media is pleased to announce the release of TweetDAQ for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, a free app that charts performance on Twitter recording weekly figures and all time highs across a number of measures. The app works by plugging into Twitter's Open API, and recording the latest account information every time it is loaded.
Number of tweets, retweets received, new followers and several more figures are listed to give some measure of Twitter performance and leader boards and Game Center integration make it a very competitive pastime.
Victoria Hatch, director of Nyx Digital, the developer of the app said, "Like many things, the idea for this was conceived in conversation with friends. A few of us were discussing Twitter and how many followers we each had. I really wanted to see how I was doing each week and the app developed from there."
"Originally the idea was to provide a means of keeping track of a Twitter account; how it ebbs and flows from week to week but we realised early in development how much fun was to be had in comparing stats so we built leader boards and integrated it with Game Center and the game element really took shape from there."

Lundy has compiled a vast amount of information about the British Peerage and European royalty, harnessing new technology with every computing cycle. "I started off using FoxPro, then transitioned to making it available on the web, now I see the iPad as the perfect medium to explore this type of data." Digital maps enable users to explore genealogies across hundreds of years. "With such a volume of information, the presentation is critical," says Lundy, "Working with the team at MEA Mobile we developed an interface platform we're very proud of." Users navigate through an intuitive animated chart and can search by surname, location name, or via a map interface. "It's still a work in progress," explains Lundy "We'll be expanding and evolving on a regular basis and so look forward to feedback."
Users can see if any of their ancestors are listed among the aristocracy or see how many descendants Queen Victoria has alive today. Free access to the records is available through an ad supported version. A paid version without ads is also available. The upcoming major update brings several enhancements:
* Ability to share application data among devices - Easily share trips between all your devices or backup application data to your desktop computer.
* Localized number formatting - All numbers will appear nicely formatted based on your device's settings.
* User Interface improvements - The app now provides a more unified user experience. The app's main color scheme is applied to all UIs. Additionally, a new calendar has been introduced which makes it easier to quickly select or update the date of trips and trip items.
Designed as an intelligent assistant for international travelers, the app stores all expenses in both the local and converted, home currencies. With a high-end, dark wood-grain GUI, the app includes no instructions for use; all operations are intuitive and trouble-free. One-time set-up includes entering the user's language, home currency, and the frequency of exchange rate updates. The designers have paid great attention to human factors.
For example, English, Spanish, French, Italian and German appear in their respective places in the scrolling list that appears by touching "Your Language", but the group of five most common languages also appears at the head of the list. Similarly, the app defaults to US dollars, with the yen, euro, swiss francs, british pounds and Canadian dollar leading an alphabetical list of 156 different currencies.
Set-up complete, the home page displays four buttons: Travel Expenses, Currency Converter, Translator, and Quick Add. A summary of the last expense is also shown on the main screen for convenience. The quick add function allows fast expense entry, and goes straight to the entry page of the last trip.
Travel Expenses is the heart of the app, and the Travel Expenses page contains an artfully designed scrolling list of all trips ordered by date by default. The order of trips and expense items can be customized. The user may substitute any photo or graphic for the generic icon displayed with each travel expense listing, which includes the trip's label (i.e. the country or city), the description of the expense (e.g. work, personal, etc.), the date and the total amount of all expenses, automatically converted to the user's home currency.
Selecting any entry brings up an itemized listing of each individual expense for that particular trip. When entering an expense in the local currency the user may enter a description using the pop-up alphanumeric keyboard, or choose a predefined category. Included, with appropriate icons, are: Transportation (Flight), Cash Withdrawal, Taxi, Local Transportation, Hotel, Camping, Fuel, Road Tolls, Souvenirs, Food & Drink, Treatment (Hospital), Shopping, Entertainment, Additional Fees, and Other. Sums are entered using the built-in, multi-function calculator. Both the trips and the expenses scrolling list is fully editable, and displays individual expenses in both local and home currencies, plus the date and description. Expense items also display the corresponding category.
The currency converter function features side-by-side odometer displays for going from any one of 156 currencies to another. The large entry keypad also includes a calculator function. Results are displayed in the dual odometer highlight window with the currency listing. For example, entering 1,555 displays "Japanese Yen - 1,555 JPY" on the left cylinder, and "US Dollars - 20.202 USD" on the right.
The translator function employs two text fields, each with a labeled flag beside it. The user selects his native language/flag and enters the word or phrase to be translated in the text field. The translator supports copy and paste functionality, allowing translation of eMails or web content. Selecting any of 51 languages displays the translation in red type in the second text field.

"I have had the good fortune of being invited to witness the launch of the Falcon 9/Dragon mission at Cape Canaveral," said Mike. Few things are more spectacular than an Apollo-Saturn V (at night no less), but any orbital launch is exciting nonetheless. This one will have an excitement all it's own - a commercial vehicle delivering a cargo to the International Space Station, something only a few governments have ever accomplished."
After the launch, Mike will head back to California to live tweet the solar eclipse on Sunday, May 20.

Rony's Math is a game teaching basic math skills to kids in fun ways. It includes such activities as counting from 1 to 10 forwards and backwards, learning odd and even numbers, comparing numbers, basic counting and addition skills. Between basic levels children can enjoy Tap the Worm game as additional motivation. The app looks and sounds nice, the narration is made by a child, and the graphics are cute and fun. Kids can really enjoy playing it.
Kiev, Ukraine - Kindergarten is a time for learning math concepts and skills, when students begin to build a foundation that will carry them throughout their years in school. Rony's Math, a new educational and highly interactive game for kids, is created to meet these goals. It gives kids a fun way to practise their math skills. The main character, Rony the raccoon, is trying to help his friends and the child has to solve the math problems to complete each task in five different levels. The levels include basic math areas like number sense and operations. All of the levels have visual prompting to help the child to play and learn.
After each level is successfully completed, the child gets to play the "fun game" (a whack-a-mole type game) as a reward. The levels can be replayed in any order after the completion of all five levels.
Features - Playing the app kids can:
* learn to arrange sets of objects in ascending or descending order: put the numbers in order from the smallest to the largest and vice versa
* learn odd and even numbers
* learn to make a sequence of numbers
* learn to compare numbers (bigger than/smaller than)
* train their mental calculation and develop arithmetical skills
* acquire the knowledge, concepts and skills required for everyday living and for use in other subject areas
The app looks and sounds nice, the narration is made by a child, and the graphics are cute and fun. Kids can really enjoy playing it.

Majestyk Apps is proud to announce that iTraxs version 3.0 will be released on June 1st 2012. iTraxs version 3.0 will allow users to continue to trim songs and export them back to their iTunes library to listen to at their choosing. iTraxs version 3.0 will also allow users to use their trimmed songs as ringtones on their iPhone. Majestyk Apps welcomes all user feedback, both positive and negative, in order to create Apps that are visually appealing and also simple and effective.
White Plains, New York - June 1st 2012 Majestyk Apps will be releasing iTraxs version 3.0 that will enable users to trim songs and export them to their iTunes library and also use those trimmed songs as ring tones on their iPhone. Majestyk Apps has also set a timetable for future updates on a rolling basis based upon user feedback. Version 1.1 sports a new icon, localized to Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish as well as minor optimizations.
Tokyo, Japan - Jason Fuerstenberg today is pleased to announce Accent 1.1, a simple way for translators, developers, web designers or anybody to quickly find and copy accented characters and symbols on the Mac and iPad. Prior to Accent it was easier to find such characters on Windows than it was on a Mac. Despite the Mac's noted role in the publishing industry, OS X was always missing an application such as Accent. No longer!
With Accent there is no need to search online or even type the name of the character you want. On the Mac simply hover the mouse cursor over a character and buttons for copying the character and its URL escape code (for developers/designers) will appear. On the iPad, simply tap a character to accomplish the same thing.
Accent provides accented characters found in French, Portuguese and Spanish as well as mathematical, corporate and currency related symbols. Accent Version 1.1 sports a new icon, localized to Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish as well as minor optimizations.
