ScrollThindicator places iOS scroll bars on a diet Posted: 22 Aug 2012 05:32 PM PDT Even if this tweak turned out to be a dud, you have to give respect where respect is due when it comes to its clever name. ScrollThindicator, as its title ever-so slyly alludes to, is a new jailbreak tweak that trims the fat off of iOS’ scroll bars. True, there’s no real functionality to be gained from using ScrollThindicator, but it is an aesthetic change that many might enjoy. Take a gander at our hands-on video inside for brief overview of how it looks.(...) "ScrollThindicator places iOS scroll bars on a diet" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com. |
ProgressPercent gives you the status of your app downloads Posted: 22 Aug 2012 02:56 PM PDT Allow me to introduce you fine folks to ProgressPercent. It’s a new jailbreak tweak that displays a percentage indicator under the icon of the current app you’re downloading, giving you a better idea of its status. The tweak is invisible. Once you’ve installed it, you won’t know it’s there unless you are downloading an application, or pop into the Settings app. There’s just one option here, and that’s to disable it…(...) Apple pulls ‘Genius’ commercials from its website and YouTube Posted: 22 Aug 2012 12:30 PM PDT When you have the marketing history that Apple does, you don’t anticipate many mistakes. The company has a long list of successful TV spots, such as the popular “I’m a Mac” campaign. But obviously, Apple feels it messed up on its latest string of Mac ‘Genius’ commercials. Because it just pulled the three month-old ads from both its website, and its YouTube channel…(...) Claimed photo of next-gen iPhone sync cable surfaces Posted: 22 Aug 2012 11:34 AM PDT Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen an increase in iPhone 5 part leaks — specifically the dock connector/headphone jack assembly. The components have echoed previous reports that the next-gen iPhone would have a smaller dock connector. Adding to the evidence is a new photo of a USB charging/sync cable, which popped up online this afternoon. With its 8-9 pin end matching up with the previous parts we’ve seen, it’s believed the cable belongs to Apple’s new smartphone….(...) Show off your Instagram feeds in style with the Instacube Posted: 22 Aug 2012 11:06 AM PDT Over the past two years, Instagram has provided a mobile platform for millions of people to share filtered photos of everything from sunsets to cups of coffee. Study shows nearly 50% of US consumers don’t care about LTE Posted: 22 Aug 2012 10:10 AM PDT Even though we haven’t seen much evidence, the tech world seems pretty convinced that the new iPhone will be LTE-capable. After all, Apple’s latest tablet supports the 4G tech. And Android devices have for years. But as it turns out, folks may not end up caring that much about whether the new iPhone supports LTE or not. A new report is out this morning, claiming that nearly 50% of US consumers don’t feel that they need it…(...) MissionBoard: a replacement app switcher for iOS Posted: 22 Aug 2012 09:03 AM PDT Replacement app switchers have long-since been a favorite for jailbreak developers. Because while Apple’s own implementation is solid, it’s pretty basic, and leaves a lot of room for improvement. We’ve seen a number of these app switchers recently — tweaks like Imperium and Aero, to name a few. And today, we’re adding another one to that list. Ladies and gentlemen, meet MissionBoard…(...) AT&T: FaceTime fears are ‘wrong’ Posted: 22 Aug 2012 08:22 AM PDT AT&T Wednesday tried to clarify its position on limiting the iOS 6 FaceTime over Cellular feature to its Mobile Share data plan customers. The carrier called concerns that last week’s move might require subscribers change data plans “wrong” and “another knee jerk reaction” about net neutrality. “The FCC’s net neutrality rules do not regulate the availability to customers of applications that are preloaded on phones. Indeed, the rules do not require that providers make available any preloaded apps,” AT&T said in a blog post. The cell provider said subscribers can download a number of video chat apps that compete with AT&T’s service, a requirement of net neutrality laws…(...) Foxconn improves, corrects nearly 300 workplace violations Posted: 22 Aug 2012 07:49 AM PDT Foxconn, Apple’s largest manufacturer of iPads and other iOS devices, has been taking heat for several years now for its poor working conditions. These conditions were said to be a major factor in a string of suicides at the company. The bad press reached a fever pitch earlier this year, when The New York Times published a lengthy article that painted a bleak picture of the electronics-maker. But according to a new report, it’s turning things around…(...) "Foxconn improves, corrects nearly 300 workplace violations" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com. |
