Denver, Colorado - Jonathan Fenske, Penguin USA children's book author and illustrator, along with his wife, Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's Press novelist Jennifer Manske Fenske, teamed up to create their first iPad app for children, Healthy Creatures(TM), which launches today on the App Store.
Healthy Creatures is a creative "digital toy" that children use to make collages using fruits and vegetables. Featuring original artwork by Jonathan Fenske, Healthy Creatures offers kids a way to express themselves with garden-fresh art. Jonathan also composed the background music for Healthy Creatures.
The app will sell on the App Store for .99 cents. Additional lifestyle products are planned for Fat and Appy including toddler and children's tees and sleepwear.
"Healthy Creatures offers kids a fun way to play with eggplant, kale, lemons, blueberries and more than 20 other kinds of healthy foods," says Jennifer Manske Fenske, President and Founder of Fat and Appy. "Children can make fabulous creations with the app using delicious food from the garden. Children will enjoy completely open-ended, creative play."
Healthy Creatures was designed with kids' safety in mind: there are no in-app banner ads, commercials or in-app purchases. Parents won't find scoring, competition or timers. Budding artists can enjoy uninterrupted creative play.

Permitting thousands of different combinations, the Path Finder main window can be configured to display a maximum of five modules for browsing and managing files. Sevilla, Spain - Track & Tricks, Nebula Entertainment's latest release, is a sports game with a twist. The game mechanics are deceptively simple: to drive your running avatar forward, you must rhythmically tap a heart hovering above its head. You must also keep watch of your gathering stamina, which you can deplete in spectacular sprinting bursts.
And if all that hard work is not paying off for you, and opponents insist on taking the lead, there's always the possibility of leaving pleasantries behind. A collection of power-ups lets you, for instance, throw a banana peel on the opponent's track and see them take the fall, to your gain. Power-ups are provided in Mario Kart-style mistery boxes, and additional ones can be purchased at the game store as in-app purchases.
"We wanted to take the traditional track & field game to another level," says Juan Mejias, game designer at Nebula. "Traditionally, this has been a genre of button-bashing, but we saw that touch-screen devices required a different approach. Plus this is consistent with our goal of making a fun and approachable game". As for the bananas, "We just thought they would be great fun."
In the iOS version, the game is structured in two modes: Compete, where you fight for a gold medal in three-round tournaments, and Challenge, where you can dare any Game Center user to an online turn-based competition.
"Using a turn-based system for a running game is actually a pretty novel proposition. We haven't heard of any examples". After each race, you are presented with your speed level, which you can increase by completing missions in Jepack Joyride style. You start off as a rock, and advance to an undisclosed 16th level. "I'm not telling, but you can't easily get faster than that. And no, it's not light, that would be too easy."

Agility Dogs is a fun and exciting endless-runner for the entire family, where you take any of the 5 available dogs through 4 different agility parks.
Agility Dogs is entirely made with clay models and utilizes depth, perspective, and physics simulation to add to the fun and realism. All models have been photographed at high resolution to produce a game that is not fun and unique, but stunning to look at.

Agility Dogs is a fun and exciting endless-runner for the entire family, where you take any of the 5 available dogs through 4 different agility parks.
Agility Dogs is entirely made with clay models and utilizes depth, perspective, and physics simulation to add to the fun and realism. All models have been photographed at high resolution to produce a game that is not fun and unique, but stunning to look at.
One of the features included in Agility Dogs is a game mode called "Puppy Mode". "Puppy Mode" is designed for the youngest players in the family. It's a game mode without a time limit, that way little kids can play for a long time without ever having to press a "Start" or "Play Again" button.
Additional features will include high scores, local and Game Center achievements, leader boards, ability customization, high resolution graphics for Retina displays in the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and new iPad.
