This new update contains three new features, new static maps, support for the Polar Bluetooth H7 strap and emergency call. 3,2,1 Run is available today, and is free for existing users.
First, the Polar H7 heart rate belt is now fully supported by 3,2,1 Run, the same way as the Wahoo Fitness Blue HR or the 60beat Bluetooth belt. More choices for people who want to know precisely their heart rate, see it, listen to it on their headphones and record it at every moment to review it.
3,2,1 Run still supports the best heart rate straps, such as Wahoo Fisica, Garmin, Runalyzer for the more classic heart rate straps, but the future is those bluetooth straps that work with iPhone 4S and iPhone 5.
New static maps:
Since September, I've come across repetitive issues with the static images generated by Google maps that you see in your history list and details. I had several times an image with a red cross and other people complained as well. So I replaced totally the Google image with Apple maps. Your map will now generate a new image at the end of a run, or when you display the full map by tapping on the image.
If you still have some images with the red cross, you can force the application to refresh them. Go into the details of a run, tap the upper right action button and ask to reset details. Then go once again in the map by taping the left image of your run.
Emergency call:
I have kept that feature under my arm for too long. Back in 2010 I lived close to a town called Bondues in the north in France, when something horrible happened to a young woman on a path that I used to run on, alone, with my wife or her alone. Ever since I wanted to make it simple to call quickly an emergency number from the app, just in case an accident happened.
So now, when you're running and the screen is locked with the "unlock button", if you press the screen for 2 seconds, an emergency call will be made directly. I set the 911 which iPhone understands as the emergency number for the operator, but different countries and different operators have different numbers, so you can change that number in the settings.
Please make sure you understand how it works, test it and use it wisely. This should not stop you from taking precautions, such as not running alone and not in dark and isolated paths. Especially you ladies.

The iBook is available on all 50 iBookStores. The book is written in English, Further languages like German, Spanish, French etc. will follow soon.
"Solid Figures" is an enhanced iBook with 3D Collada and interactive images. The basic solid figures are explained: cone, prism, cylinder, pyramid and sphere. Each chapter handles one solid figure and shows how to calculate the area and volume. The interactive images denote the necessary values like height, length etc. whereas the 3D Collada images allow to rotate and view the solid figure in all directions. This allow exact observation and relationships among the geometrical features.
Three problems are covered in detail using 3D images and interactivity. The problems are not trivial and demand the 3D explanations. The same concept is used as in theory chapters, where interactive images are used to denote the values and 3D Collada images to view the solids from all sides.
