I have a BlacX sata Hdd USB docking station. I was able to put my 3TB HD in that and format it but when I took it out and put it in my Mac it lost the format and I was not able to format again. I tried to partition it and that did not work either

Thank you. I tried it in my Dell and was able to install Ubuntu 64 10.04 with no problem. It indicates that I have a 2.5 TB hard drive though. I tried to install Windows 7 on it and it seemed to work fine also except it want to make it into 2 partitions and I could not make only one which is fine. I think I will just use it in my Dell
Thank you

I received a new MacBook Pro recently and I wanted to sync up my iPhone to
the new laptop instead of my iMac. When I sync my phone, iTunes says that
it backs up the storage, but will not sync the music and apps onto the
laptop. But it seems like there is nothing in the storage once I remove my
iPhone. How can I do this? There is no iCloud or the Home Sharing button
that can be found after I synced my iPhone. But I can find iCloud in my
accessories on the laptop. I recently changed my iTunes e-mail and
password, and so I can't back up anything from my phone because it is still
on the default e-mail and I can't change it. There is nothing on iCloud
because I never used it before. I have the OS X Version 10.8.2 and the
processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just because you can see files it doesn't mean the drive isn't physically
damaged and possibly failing. Event SMART test is only a guess.
I would have the technician run a LONG test with WD, Seagate, or other HD
testing tools but only AFTER the drive has been backed up or imaged.
A backup is a good idea and essential if you care about your files and if
you really care about your data then you should also have some sort of
offsite backup as well.

I went to the AT&T store they had to replace my Sim card. I would think Apple would carry the Sim cards since its their product.
Thanks for everyone's help....I am back in business

The sim card comes from the carrier that you get your mobile service from, not from Apple. You have to get that sim card from AT&T or whatever carrier you use because it's formatted with specific information about your personal plan with the carrier.

The SIM card is all your account information. Your phone number is
embedded into the card. It is, if you wish, the software of a
telephone. If you need a new hard drive in your computer Apple will
replace it and the OS, but you can't expect them to reinstall any
software you might have.

I receive a message from Yahoo that they want me to upgrade to a faster, more secure version of Safari to use their latest version of Yahoo mail. They state they no longer support my version of Safari.
I have received this message on both my iMac and my MacBook Pro.
On the laptop I am running MAC OS X 10.7.5 and safari is 6.0.2
I believe the iMac is the same.
When I checked for software update via Apple, the pop up said I was up to date.
I admit to not knowing one lion from another but I believe I am one lion behind in my OS. (factual humor). Could that be the problem with Yahoo?
TIA,
Bobby

And Yahoo mail works just fine.

I would be highly skeptical of such a communication. My guess is that either this message is a phishing attempt, or that something has gone wacko at Yahoo.
My wife routinely uses Yahoo mail on a Mac running Leopard.
