With the upgrade to the most recent iOS the mail symbols changed. Where I used to have a trashcan, I now have a symbol that looks something like a printer (to me). Perhaps it's meant to be a shredder.
At any rate - what is that thing? And what does it do? Trash?
thx

Howdy.
I have iOS, most recent, on an iPhone 5 and I have a trash icon in Mail.
I suspect you are seeing the a sort of stacking in/out box tray icon
that you might be interpreting as a printer icon??
The stacking in/out box tray icon is for "All Inboxes." This is under
the section labeled "Inboxes."
Check under the section labeled Accounts and tap one (or more) of you
accounts to see the Trash icon.
If you use an Apple me.com or other Apple free account/iCloud account,
then you many see several other mail folders for that account.

Hello,
I've a computer with "Express Burn" and NCH tells me I've got to upgrade. Naturally I don't want one that has features I don't need. ie:prices !!
All I want to do as a"one user" is to burn cds and dvds. Do I really need the "Plus CD + DVD + Blu-Ray Authoring...?
Thanks
Gary

To watch DVD movies on my iPhone or computer, I use Handbrake, it's free. To view on iPhone check "iPod 5G Support".
To burn any data or movies I have acquired from Handbrake, I "Burn" w Apple Disk Utility which is free with Apple System Software if you use a Mac.

This is my Mac. Does anyone know if it's worth upgrading and if so any idea what it would cost? Would it be worth it and be a good move or would there be problems?
Thanks

Howdy.
Gary, write back with some detail about your Mac computer. Exact model
Mac? RAM? Hard drives and sizes?
No one can answer you questions with only the version of Mac OS X
system running on it.

Hi Gary,
You can install Leopard 10.5.8 on it. It is a good machine for day to day task , but the new softwares wont work on it. You can use it for internet purpose.
I got one from my friend and i use it for internet , download and office purpose and for my certification purpose.

Practically?
You can quadruple the RAM (for about $44 per two 1GB pair), and advance the OS one generation (to MacOS 10.5.8).

Over the years and through machinations I don't recall, I have discovered 3 different iPhoto Libraries in my system. These libraries have a large number of both different and duplicated pictures. Is there a way to combine the 3 iPhoto Libraries and delete the duplicates? Thanks for your help in this matter.

iTunes says that photos can sync with the iPad photos located in a folder of your choice.
So rather than drag photos from iPhoto to a folder in Finder, I use "New Folder" in iPhoto and drag some photos in there.
But I can't find this folder outside iPhoto. Is it only an internal object, not accessible from iTunes or Finder?
How best to sync some photos from iPhoto to the iPad?
Thanks,
Dave
