It lets him establish a mobile recording studio of the highest quality which definitely does not have to hide behind any professional PC or Mac application. The multi-touch app works closely with Cubase - the long-established music production system for Windows and Mac. Any projects that have been designed on the iPad can be smoothly imported into Cubase.
Cubasis allows the user to establish an unlimited number of audio and MIDI tracks in CD quality depending on the iPad model. The iPad 2 and the iPad mini can produce up to 48 voices simultaneously; the iPad 3 and iPad 4 even up to 64.

Cubasis connects various Core MIDI and audio devices directly to the iPad by utilizing an adapter - allowing new music or vocals to be directly imported to the app. A virtual keyboard and virtual drum pads are available as well, turning the iPad into a musical instrument. From now on music may be created with the tap of the finger. Cubasis places more than 70 instrument sounds at the user's disposal which are based on HALion Sonic. It ensures that each needed sound is available to the composer.
With Cubasis even prepared loops may be implemented. More than 300 MIDI and audio loops are available. The mixer, with over ten available effect processors (insert and send effects) makes sure that it all comes together. The sample and key editor let the artist put the finishing touches to the music.
Naturally, someone's composition may be reviewed on the iPad and even be introduced to eager listeners. The finished product can be deposited in the Dropbox, exported to Cubase, transferred to SoundCloud or shared via AudioCopy or e-mail.

Users simply drag a finger along the screen in the shape they want to form. The app then recognizes their attempted shape and smoothes out the lines to make it a perfect geometrical shape. The app can identify a wide variety of shapes, and features a regularization option for some. This allows the users to create perfect squares, equilateral triangles, or round the edges of squares and rectangles. Users can also drag the ends of shapes to alter the shape's form to their preference.
After creating shapes, users can resize them using a two-finger pinch on the screen. Shapes may also be rotated and moved around the screen with the drag of a finger. Using the select tool, users can highlight multiple shapes at once to drag them together to the other side of the screen. When a shape is selected, users can tap the blue addition button to duplicate the shape, or the red X to delete it.
A double tap in shapes allows users to add text, which can be changed in font and color. Users can also add text anywhere on the diagram by simply double tapping the screen and typing the desired words. The Stroke tab lets users change the thickness of lines or shape borders, change the lines to different lengths of dashes, alter the color of the line, or fill in the shape completely with one color.
When a finger is dragged from the inside of one shape to another, the application automatically creates an arrow connecting the two. Arrows can also be created by the addition of a tip to a line and erased with a simple swipe over the end. The Undo and Redo options in the upper left hand corner allow for easy fixing of mistakes in the diagramming process.
By tapping the Miscellaneous symbol in the upper right hand corner users can clear the page. Here, they can also insert images from their Photo Stream, Photo Library, or device's camera, choose a background color to accent their diagram, or alter the settings of the application. Shape recognition, regularization, arrow connections, and connection recognition can all be turned On/Off in this menu.
A helpful tutorial menu offers the user step-by-step instruction for how to use the app and is available with one tap at all times. It also offers an inclusive list of all the shapes recognizable by the application, showing the user's drawing and the app's natural recognition of this drawing for each shape possible.
Users can save, rename, copy, delete, and open certain diagrams in the application. They can import new diagrams from their Dropbox as well. Finished diagrams can be saved to the device's photo album or exported via email or Dropbox. The application supports saving diagrams in JPG, PNG, SVG, and PDF formats. The latest version of Lekh Diagram features renewed support for the iPad's Retina display, as well as an improved layout view for the landscape mode in iOS 6.
