ITune will not backup

In the latest version of ITune, you can't back up to a disk. Does the idiots at Apple realize that not everybody is going to pay for their new ICloud service? So if you need to back up something on itune. Use a usb drive or a rewritable disk. Use your backup software, and just drag, the app or music album, or whatever to your disk, and burn it. If you need say an app again, drag the app (or whatever) from the disk to your ITune library. Another thing ITune will not tell you if your upgrade an App, the old one will go into your recycled bin. Just make a file on your computer, and drag the old app, to it in-case you might need then again, or if you want to trade or give then to someone.

I just attempted to connect my iPod Touch 3rd Gen to iTunes and have encountered
an error message which reads:

"This iPod cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device is not started"

What the evil does this mean and how do I fix it??

Thanks for any assistance,

Don Miller

Choose *Start* > Control Panel. Inside the Control Panel, open
Administrative Tools. Open Services. Select *Apple Mobile Device* and click
