Pixel Game 1.0 released for iOS - Picture Guessing Game - Published on 01/27/13

California based independent developer, Bennett Berger today introduces Pixel Game 1.0, his unique picture guessing game developed for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Fun for the entire family, Pixel Game challenges players to make their way through numerous levels as they guess different pictures. These pictures start out pixelated and become less pixilated (easier to guess) as time runs down. Users are given four choices for each picture and must select the correct answer in the allocated time.
West Hills, California - Independent developer, Bennett Berger today is thrilled to announce the release and immediate availability of Pixel Game 1.0, his unique picture guessing game developed for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Starting at level one, a blurry pixelated image is displayed. As time starts to tick by, the pixels decrease in size which makes the picture clearer. Each picture contains one correct answer along with three incorrect answers. Users must select an answer before the time runs out.
Users earn more points the faster they select the correct answer. If an incorrect answer is chosen, no points are awarded and the next picture is displayed. Four out of five pictures must be answered correctly in order to move on to the next level. If less than four are answered correctly, that same level is to be played again. However, each play is unique because of the randomness of the pictures chosen in the level, the randomness of the picture order, and the random placement of the answers.
After every level (five pictures), Pixel Game sums up your score and displays the total earned points. When connected to Game Center, players can compete with others for the highest scores. Once all of the levels are played, the options are to either play them again to try to beat their high score or purchase more levels. Playing the same levels over is likely to be a unique experience due to the randomness in the level creation.

In the present app market, this card game revolutionizes the whole genre with its challenging strategic battle system. In order to provide a comprehensive understanding of this game, more features will be introduced below.
In comparison to action games and real-time strategy games, the operation of this card games is much easier; Lies of Astaroth also inherits this characteristic, players can grasp the the most important functions within minutes during the turorial. Even the more complex Enhancing System can be learned in a few easy steps.
There are four types of cards in Lies of Astaroth: Kingdom, Forest, Wilderness and Hell. Different cards have different skills. Some cards are classic attackers dealing damage to the opponent, whereas others are used to increase the player's defense ability, or even to regenerate HP. Furthermore, every type of card has its own attributes. The four attributes restrict each other mutually. Finding out which card is most useful in what kind of situation and discovering the best card combinations are certainly two highlights in terms of game play in Lies of Astaroth. Each card has its own basic value of ATK and HP at the beginning. However, you can strengthen a card from level 0 to 10 via the Enhancing System. Along with the upgrade of the cards, more skills will be unlocked. Some skills can only be triggered in specific moment. There are many sources for claiming high level cards, such as PVP battles, purchases in the Store, completing certain tasks or exploring the maps.
In Lies of Astaroth's well-designed battle system cards are drawn randomly from the deck and placed in the Preparation Zone. After waiting a certain number of rounds they can move to the Battle Field. Cards with a high more stars have to wait longer than low-star cards, e. g. 1-Star cards only need to wait 1-2 rounds. Because of this setting, players need to think carefully about the arrangement of their decks to make their attack more efficient. For instance, if your deck does not include any attacking card but only assisting cards, this battle formation will be defeated very easily. Smart people always think 10 steps ahead - this is also valid in Lies of Astaroth! However, if you are sure that you will win this battle, you can just tap the Auto button and the battle will be carried out automatically.

What is the importance of Knowing Thyself?
To begin with, to "know thyself" means you must become conscious of your thoughts, your likes and dislikes, your prejudices, habits, memories, etc., because the more you understand yourself, the greater is your understanding of humanity as well.
Knowing your true self is when you learn to step outside of your thinking - in other words, to be the "observer"; and not caught up in your emotions and all the abovementioned aspects that make up your "persona" or "personality" as we see it here on earth.
The process of completing a Life Inventory does not directly address anyone's specific problems, habits or addictions, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life. The Life Inventory apps gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened. The questions asked help the user delve into areas often never considered before, like:

Throughout the process, users are encouraged to enter data into their Inventory, be completely honest about themselves and take advantage of encouragement and support.
The Inventory begins by making one simple list, which defines four fixed Categories in which to file away what are broadly categorized as Incidents:

* Sources of Anxiety and Excitement
Each of the four Categories will contain hierarchical sub-categories. From there, users outline Entities and then individual Incidents related each Entity.
Step-by-step, users complete the Causes and Effects of each Incident. Next, users determine the part they played in each Incident listed. It is not unusual to create hundreds of Incident forms, each devoted to a single incident. The app includes the ability to create and save all written lists and forms with password protection. Having completed all their Incident forms, users can refer to these forms to help list all their Fears. The app includes the following eight pre-defined fears, to which the user is free to add:

* Not getting what I want
* Not having control of the situation
* Financial insecurity
* Abandonment
* Physical harm
* Failure
* Success
The fifth step is examining each Fear category and answering the following key questions:
* Why did I have this fear?
* When did I first notice this fear in my life?
* How did I hold on to this fear?
* What did this fear make me do?
* What chain of circumstances did this fear set in motion in my life?
* How did I react to this fear?
* What decision did this fear cause me to make?
* How did self-reliance fail me?
* What should I have done instead?
And the sixth and final step is examining Sex Relations, where users answer all the following questions regarding each of their sexual relationships:
* How was I selfish?
* Where was I dishonest?
* Where was I inconsiderate?
* Who was hurt in this situation?
* Did I arouse jealousy, suspicion, or bitterness?
* Where was I at fault?
* What should I have done instead?
* What will I do in the future?
* Did I pray or have spiritual conversations with him/her?
* Did I pray for him/her?
* Did I enjoy his/her company?
* Did we bring each other closer to God?

What is the importance of Knowing Thyself?
To begin with, to "know thyself" means you must become conscious of your thoughts, your likes and dislikes, your prejudices, habits, memories, etc., because the more you understand yourself, the greater is your understanding of humanity as well.
Knowing your true self is when you learn to step outside of your thinking - in other words, to be the "observer"
The process of completing a Life Inventory does not directly address anyone's specific problems, habits or addictions, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life. The Life Inventory apps gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened. The questions asked help the user delve into areas often never considered before, like:
* What did I want?
* Why did I want it?
* What am I not admitting?
* What lie did I tell myself?
* What did I leave out or not say?
* What lie did I tell others?
* Have I ever done the same thing?
* Was it any of my business?
* Were my expectations reasonable?
* What was the real truth?
* What was I not seeing?
* Did I fail to see the facts of the situation?
* What actions did I take to get what I wanted?
* What actions did I omit to get what I wanted?
Life Inventory guides the user through six different steps, each with its own activity grouping, for making a Life Inventory:
* Build Lists
* Causes and Effects
* My Part
* Fears Analysis
* Fear Questions
* Sex Relations
Throughout the process, users are encouraged to enter data into their Inventory, be completely honest about themselves and take advantage of encouragement and support.
The Inventory begins by making one simple list, which defines four fixed Categories in which to file away what are broadly categorized as Incidents:
* People
* Institutions and Organizations
* Principles, Ideals and Beliefs
* Sources of Anxiety and Excitement
Each of the four Categories will contain hierarchical sub-categories. From there, users outline Entities and then individual Incidents related each Entity.
Step-by-step, users complete the Causes and Effects of each Incident. Next, users determine the part they played in each Incident listed. It is not unusual to create hundreds of Incident forms, each devoted to a single incident. The app includes the ability to create and save all written lists and forms with password protection. Having completed all their Incident forms, users can refer to these forms to help list all their Fears. The app includes the following eight pre-defined fears, to which the user is free to add:
* Other people's opinions
* Not getting what I want
* Not having control of the situation
* Financial insecurity
* Abandonment
* Physical harm
* Failure
* Success
The fifth step is examining each Fear category and answering the following key questions:
* Why did I have this fear?
* When did I first notice this fear in my life?
* How did I hold on to this fear?
* What did this fear make me do?
* What chain of circumstances did this fear set in motion in my life?
* How did I react to this fear?
* What decision did this fear cause me to make?
* How did self-reliance fail me?
* What should I have done instead?
And the sixth and final step is examining Sex Relations, where users answer all the following questions regarding each of their sexual relationships:
* How was I selfish?
* Where was I dishonest?
* Where was I inconsiderate?
* Who was hurt in this situation?
* Did I arouse jealousy, suspicion, or bitterness?
* Where was I at fault?
* What should I have done instead?
* What will I do in the future?
* Did I pray or have spiritual conversations with him/her?
* Did I pray for him/her?
* Did I enjoy his/her company?
* Did we bring each other closer to God?

The new software development company Deliquus - Deliquus literally means "missing" - has released its first version of the Mac OS X application Carnet. Carnet is the French word for notebook. However, the application doesn't just provide you with a digital notebook, but enables you to store logins and other information securely.
Carnet uses the Advanced Encryption Standard with 256 bit keys, which is used by military and government institutions all over the world. Despite the complex techniques it uses, the application only costs $19.99 USD.
The application has another unique aspect. The developers have chosen to not release the software thru Apple. They did not publish the application on the Mac App Store and they did not code sign the binary. The developers say they refuse to obey the monopoly of Apple in software distribution on the operating system, who claims 30% of the profits and a fixed fee of 99 dollars per year. That is why a work around is needed for the new Gatekeeper system. The site points users to a Boston University webpage that explains the situation well.
