Avatron Software's newest mobile productivity app, Air Login, lets you work with any file or app residing on your Mac from your iOS device - anytime and anywhere. Realize you forgot to update your client logo on the PowerPoint while waiting in their lobby to present? Air Login allows you to access the file from your Mac at home or office and update the presentation from your iPad. Be more productive and work smarter with Avatron's suite of mobile apps.

Portland, Oregon - We're a month into 2013. You've resolved to amp up your productivity and work smarter this year. Avatron Software's newest remote login app, Air Login 1.0.2, is so accommodating and fast, it'll make you feel like you're cheating - because wherever you go, there's your Mac.

Air Login acts as a zip-line between the iOS device in your hand and your Mac. In seconds, your work- or home-based Mac - and all its apps and files - are displayed right in your hand. You can quickly edit files - even Photoshop or Flash - on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, using your familiar Mac applications as if they were right there.

Realize you forgot to update your client logo on the PowerPoint while waiting in their lobby to present? Air Login allows you to access the file from your Mac at home or office and update the presentation from your iPad. Need to edit the brochure in Photoshop before going to print? Air Login brings the Photoshop app to your fingers.

Air Login instantaneously loads your Mac menu toolbar on your iOS device. As soon as it uploads, you have complete access to your Mac screen windows making your iOS device as fully functional as your Mac.

"How many times have you been traveling or mobile and desperately needed to get a critical file back at your desk? Or felt frustrated that all the apps that work on your Mac just don't function on your mobile? Air Login is our answer to accessing literally ANY file or app back at your Mac and enabling full functionality right there on their iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch," says Dave Howell, CEO, Avatron Software. "And it's built to be simple, fast, familiar, and secure. You don't need to be a geek to use it."

Air Login joins Avatron's showcase of productivity apps including their highly-acclaimed mobile app, Air Display, which extends your desktop real estate by enabling you to use your iOS device, Android smartphone or old PC as an additional monitor. The second monitor can be used for displaying full screen documents, a control surface for graphic design and music, a display for auxiliary development tools, and to get more mileage out of depreciated computers.

Air Login and Air Display join Avatron's other popular mobile apps, Air Sharing, for viewing files and the cloud on-the-fly, and Print Sharing, for wirelessly printing files directly from your iOS mobile device. All Avatron mobile apps reflect simplicity, elegance and seamless functionality, characteristics leveraged by Howell's six-and-a-half years working at Apple. Avatron's appetite for ingenuity and in-depth knowledge of iOS and the Mac OS X have created productivity apps that enable you to keep that New Year's resolution.

iPlan myTime: Your Calendar on a Timeline - Version 1.6 Now Available - Published on 01/30/13

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Urban Design Limited today announces the release and the immediate availability of version 1.6 of iPlan myTime for the iPhone and iPodTouch, with a number of new features, enhancements and improvements. iPlan myTime allows users to view appointments in different ways, and it gives them the tools to organise and manage their time by displaying tasks on an editable timeline. The app provides the flexibility to sync in a number of different ways.

London, United Kingdom - iPlan myTime 1.6 takes the calendar to the next level. Not only it allows you to view your appointments in different ways but it gives you the tools to organise and manage your time by displaying your tasks on an editable timeline.

Time is money and we all need to manage our tasks in order meet our deadlines. Miss management of time can effect the quality of our work and our relationship with our clients. Project management is not pretty, and traditionally the available tools have been geared towards large projects making them too cumbersome to be used for small proposals or by individuals. Also to use a calendar to plan out a project is awkward and lacks the required flexibility. In any project things change and one needs the simple tools to edit and change a series of tasks to reflect these changes.

iPlan myTime addresses these issues by firstly being a full fledged calendar app, allowing you to display fully, or in parts as it might be relevant, your calendars which then can be combined with your project timeline. iPlan myTime organises your tasks to your working day and will not only represent your tasks graphically but also can calculate how many hours each task will take. This is huge, helping you to visualise the whole of your project or how each part relates to each other, combined with the power of on screen editing makes iPlan myTime an essential tool for managing projects as they develop and change. This information can then be exported as graphic timeline or tab delineated table, where it can be used in project presentations.

iPlan myTime gives you the flexibility to sync in many different ways. Firstly you can sync with your Calendar app and use iPlan myTime as an extension of your calendar. Secondly, you might not want your Calendar to be over populated with individual project tasks, so iPlan myTime gives you the option of saving a project to your device, and sharing it with other devices using iCloud. Thirdly, you can combine the two options and have your project on your iPhone, syncing using iCloud and then also displaying your appointments from your Calendar app. In this way can easily see how your an individual project tasks relate to your schedule without overwhelming your Calendar with content.

Even if you are part of a large team that uses a project management tool, you still would benefit from using iPlan myTime to plan out your tasks which you can then share with your colleagues.

Feature Highlights:
* Display your Calendars as a list, month view or as a timeline
* Edit your tasks visually
* Change the length of a task
* Move a group of tasks up or down the timeline
* Create multiple project
* Share your and export your project timelines:
- As images
- As tab delineated table
- As a Desktop image
* Extensive Timezone support
* Extensive syncing options with the Calendar app
* iCloud support and syncing

What's new in version 1.6:
As well as a number of bug fixes and performance improvements, specially relating to use of iCloud, 2 main features have been enhanced and added to this version.

1. TimeZone support:
As the world is becoming smaller and we all either travel or need to be aware of events in other timezones we feel that a Calendar app should be able to display information in different timezones clearly. Most standard calendars apps are unintuitive when moving between timezones, suddenly everything changes and you have no indication what appointment belongs to where. The ability of the "iPlan my Time" to handle Timezones has been enhanced and extended. As before, an appointment set in another timezone is clearly marked with a badge, and tapping on the badge will show the time of the appointment in that specific timezone. In this version you can now set different Timezones for different appointments which would then be displayed relative to the project timezone and clearly marked with a badge.

2. Week View:
A new system for displaying information for a week has been added. Now in the monh view tapping on a date, will display the appointments for that date, and swiping left or right will display schedules for the adjacent days. making it easy to review your whole week.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
* Requires iOS 5.0 or later
* Compatible with iPhone 5
* 4.4 MB

Pricing and Availability:
iPlan myTime 1.6 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Utilities category.

MW3D-Solutions releases Cheetah3D 6.2 - Now with ABF unwrapping - Published on 01/30/13

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Independent software developer, MW3D-Solutions today announces Cheetah3D 6.2, an update to its very popular 3D modeling solution for Mac OS X. Developed from the ground up utilizing the latest Cocoa technologies, Cheetah3D is a lean, fast, and elegant 3D modeling, rendering, and animation package with an easy learning curve. Version 6.2 adds support for ABF unwrapping, improves loop/ring selection, improves support for retina displays and fixes many bugs.

Tapfheim, Germany - MW3D-Solutions today is thrilled to announce Cheetah3D 6.2, an update to its popular, professional level 3D modeling solution for Mac OS X. Developed from the ground up utilizing the latest Cocoa technologies, Cheetah3D is a lean, fast, and elegant 3D modeling, rendering, and animation package with an easy learning curve.

Perfect for graphic designers, architects and casual users alike, Cheetah3D provides the most useful features needed to get the job done, and organizes them within a beautifully elegant user-interface that is powerful, intuitive and quick to work with. It offers many powerful tools, like subdivision surface modelling, joint based character animation system, UV unwrapping, texture painting, rigid and soft body dynamics, PDF import, global illumination renderer, and much more. The possibility to extend Cheetah3D with JavaScripts and support for many common file formats, like FBX, 3DS or Collada, rounds out its feature set.

The biggest change in Cheetah3D 6.2 is, without a doubt, the addition of ABF unwrapping (Angle Based Flattening). This new unwrapping algorithm offers considerably improved results (less stretching and overlap) compared to LSCM unwrapping, which Cheetah3D has traditionally used. However, the old LSCM unwrapping algorithm has also been considerably improved and now offers higher numerical accuracy. Cheetah3D 6.2 therefore now supports the two most popular UV-unwrapping algorithms.

The next big improvement has been in the Ring- and Loop-selection tools. They have been completely rewritten and now offer auto-highlighting, support for partial edge loops and rings, they are much faster, they also work in point mode and, last but not least, they also offer support for border loops. Now, working with edge loops/rings is much easier than before, considerably speeding modelling workflow.

Major new features in Cheetah3D 6.2:
* Added ABF unwrapping
* Added support for "Spline IK"
* Added "Split joint" tool
* Added "3D View - Single/Quad" hotkey
* Added "Unwrap UV with ABF" hotkey
* Completely rewritten loop selection (now with auto-highlighting, partial edge loops, faster, works in point mode, support for border loops)
* Completely rewritten ring selection (now with auto-highlighting, partial rings, faster, works in point mode)
* Improved support for Retina displays

"Performing truly advanced operations in Cheetah3D will seem like second nature very rapidly," said Dr. Martin Wengenmayer, Cheetah3D's developer. "With its seamless Mac OS X integration, Cheetah3D has been written from the ground up using Cocoa. Its not just a simple port of a Windows or Linux modeller which ends up looking, feeling and behaving like a disappointingly un-Mac-like piece of software. With Cheetah3D, you will feel right at home using it without having to learn a completely new user interface. It packs a terrific punch for it's tiny price. In fact, the program provides a level of productivity that you will be hard-pressed to equal in software ten times the cost."

Language support:
* U.S. English, German, and Japanese

Minimum Requirements:
* Mac OS X Version 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or 10.7 (Lion)
* Universal Binary for Intel 32 Bit, Intel 64 Bit
* 70.8 MB Hard Drive space
* 1 GB RAM
* 16 MB VRAM
* Internet Connection

Pricing and Availability:
Cheetah3D 6.2 is priced at $99.00 (USD) for a single-user license. Customers may upgrade from Cheetah3D 1.x - 5.x for $69.00.

The New AtoB Distance Calculator: Distances - The Simpler Way - Published on 01/31/13

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Austrian mobile development company, Bernhard Obereder today announces AtoB Distance Calculator 1.2.5, an update to its popular distance calculator developed exclusively for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Perfect for commuters, frequent travelers, truckers, pilots and everyone else in everyday life, AtoB Distance Calculator offers the simple concept of calculating air and car routes with just a few taps. Version 1.2.5 adds Italien and Portuguese languages as well as fixes minor bugs.

Graz, Austria - Bernhard Obereder, an Austrian mobile development company, announced today the release of an updated version of its popular distance calculator app AtoB. AtoB Distance Calculator offers the simple concept of calculating air and car routes with just a few taps. The perfect app for commuters, frequent travelers, truckers, pilots and everyone else in everyday life.

Most of the apps claiming to measure distances are very complex - overly complex - by giving directions, parking information and much more. AtoB Distance Calculator opens up a new category and thereby "... fills the gap in the AppStore" (softwarelint). Just easy accessible information about the distance and time to travel between up to ten places by car or air route. Additionally, the route can be viewed on a map which can also be shared via Email or social networks.

Frequently needed locations and routes can be stored in favorites for easier and faster access at the next use. And the user can not only look for cities or landmarks but also define locations by their coordinates. This is one of the reasons why apps4success gives "... an absolute recommendation for private as well as business use." To further enhance the apps' usability, it is now available in five languages to be used all around the world.

Language Support:
* English, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 5.0 or later
* 1.9 MB

Pricing and Availability:
AtoB Distance Calculator Pro 1.2.5 is $1.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Navigation category. There is also a free version AtoB Distance Calculator available.

Software Ops Delivers ZipaClip - True Encrypted Video and Texting App - Published on 01/31/13

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Arizona based Software Ops, a premier iOS developer, is thrilled by the release announcement of ZipaClip by Aclipsa Mobile Video Solutions LLC, a secure mobile video and texting application for iOS devices. Free to download, ZipaClip lets users capture their personal moments on video and then safely share them with selected friends and family. Software Ops is proud to have built the most advanced private video messaging system available for iOS today.

Scottsdale, Arizona - Software Ops has a reputation for creating some of the most sophisticated data encryption applications available to iOS users. The team of extraordinary developers and graphic/UI design experts have designed and created superior quality software for the iOS market since its beginning. Their goal is to continue creating exceptional applications like ZipaClip that retain the same principals and quality of their current product line.

Aclipsa CEO Jeff Reichard had this to say about Software Ops, "We needed an experienced team capable of creating the highest level of security and privacy for our users, they've been doing it since the beginning, they're the best."

When the team at Aclipsa Mobile Video Solutions LLC approached Software Ops with their vision of ZipaClip, the unknowns were many. The goal was to create a video and text message-sharing app that gives the user total control over who views their video or message and for how long. As ZipaClip began to take shape and everyone involved began to realize the truly unique app that was materializing, the anticipation grew. As the release approached, it became obvious that ZipaClip's exclusive features would make it stand out in the Apple iTunes App Store.

ZipaClip, now available in the App Store, is an easy to use, totally secure mobile messaging app for those who value privacy. Encrypted video sharing and text messaging allows users to communicate securely with family members, groups, friends or sensitive business contacts. The encrypted cloud-based technology restricts unauthorized viewing or forwarding and utilizes the unique ZipBack feature that allows messages to be retracted at any time by the sender.

The intuitive interface of ZipaClip makes sending up to 5 minutes of video secure and easy, but with a level of privacy that cannot be matched. "ZipaClip users have peace of mind knowing they can safely share and manage their videos and texts," says Jeff Reichard, CEO, Aclipsa. "Our users don't have to worry about their content being saved to a device, seen by any unwanted eyes, going viral, or being shared on social networking sites."

ZipaClip 1.1.1 can be found in the App Store, where it can be downloaded for free. While you're there, check out Software Ops highly downloaded My Eyes Only Pro app. Paired with their proprietary Syncryption technology, MEO Pro protects and syncs users private data simply, while employing the highest level of security.

SCSC Releases a Major Update of Scannerz Lite for Mac OS X - Published on 01/31/13

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Virginia based SCSC releases an update for Scannerz Lite for Mac OS X. Scannerz Lite differs from Scannerz in that it is intended to be used primarily for testing and evaluating the hard drive. Just like it's big brother Scannerz, Scannerz Lite now offers full support for all CoreStorage related components, including full volume encryption under File Vault 2, Fusion Drives, multiple drive and volume spanning under a single logical volume, as well as full support for Apple RAID.

Reston, Virginia - Software and Computer Systems Company, LLC (SCSC) has announced that it has updated Scannerz Lite for Mac OS X. The update follows a similar update one week ago of the company's primary product, Scannerz for OS X.

"This update brings Scannerz Lite in line with our fully featured version of Scannerz," stated an SCSC spokesman. "Scannerz Lite, just like it's big brother Scannerz will now have full support for all CoreStorage related components, such as full volume encryption under File Vault 2, Fusion Drives, multiple drive and volume spanning under a single logical volume, as well as full support for Apple RAID. It also, like Scannerz, now has support for most implementations of hardware RAID and limited support for third party software RAID implementations."

"Scannerz Lite differs from Scannerz in that it is intended to be used primarily for testing and evaluating the hard drive. The fully featured version of Scannerz is capable of analyzing a drive and its subsystem components, providing an historical performance analysis of the drive and system, and can be used in troubleshooting both hard drive and system related products. Scannerz Lite is much easier to use, with a very simple user interface. With this update, an end user will be able to perform tests on drives on any regular hard drive, any of the newer CoreStorage configurations, and most RAID implementations. All of our current customers using Scannerz Lite will be receiving an e-mail notice from us in the near future allowing them to obtain this new version, at no cost of course. As with all versions of Scannerz-Lite, there will be no version of our file system event monitors, FSE or FSE-Lite included in Scannerz-Lite."

Pricing and Availability:
SCSC has indicated that there is no price change in their product line, with the cost of Scannerz Lite being $17.95 (USD), Scannerz with FSE-Lite being $34.95 (USD) and Scannerz with FSE being $44.95.

Prague, Czech Republic - Indie developer Flow Studio today is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of Sortee 1.1, their new casual game developed for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Sortee is a fast-paced arcade / puzzle game that makes you think deeply about objects and their meanings. As everyday items fly by, players must sort them into the correct bins based on criteria such as color, material, usage, and many others. The sorting starts out easy but as the pace and complexity picks up, Sortee goes from a simple diversion to a devious test of dexterity and brainpower!

"It's hard to describe how such a simple premise can be so much fun, but when we put Sortee in people's hands and watch them play, we see it on their faces," says Richard Horin, lead game designer and cofounder of Flow Studio. "Many times during development, we checked with playtesters to make sure we were on the right track, and nine out of ten players were stunned by how addictive sorting junk can be. Now we're excited to get Sortee out to a much bigger audience, so everyone can join the fun!"

With 400 hand-drawn items that need to be sorted into more than 100 categories, Sortee keeps your fingers and brain busy during 51 increasingly difficult levels. Players can choose between two game modes: "classic" for self-contained levels that gradually get quicker and harder, and "fast" for rapid-fire levels that provide an extra challenge. Revere, Massachusetts - Indie developer James Hollender has special pricing for iNutrients & Life Inventory, and other iOS apps during MacWorld. The iNutrients app provides lightning fast access to the entire USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference for 10 nutrients; and the Life Inventory apps aallow the user to learn more about themselves than ever thought possible and at only a small fraction the cost of a single visit to a therapist.

Come meet the developer at MacWorld/iWorld January 31st - February 2nd in San Francisco at the Moscone Center. iNutrients will be featured in the Appalooza Booth, 718, along with his Life Inventory apps.

The new iNutrients app and all the individual nutrient apps will be priced at half off during the three days of the exhibition. The Life Inventory apps will also be discounted during this same time.

The iNutrients app provides information based on the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference concerning ten nutrients:

* Calories - Knowing how many calories are in the foods you eat can help with weight management
* Carbohydrates - Used to make glucose which is the fuel that gives you energy
* Cholesterol - Dietary Cholesterol - Aids in the production of Vitamin D
* Fiber - Essential for cardiovascular health; prevents constipation; improves control of diabetes
* Potassium - Helps with anxiety and stress; blood pressure; brain function; cramps, etc.
* Proteins - Important for Bodybuilders, Vegetarians or Vegans
* Saturated Fat - Eat only moderate amounts to keep healthy
* Sodium - Would you believe there's sodium in water?
* Sugars - Help keep your sugar intake under control
* Vitamin K - Vitamins K1, K1D & K2 - Extremely important for anyone taking Blood Thinning Medications like Coumadin or Warfarin

These nutrients are listed in alphabetical order and will be presented throughout the app in this same order. Icons from individual apps by the developer, each covering a single nutrient corresponding to the nutrients in this app are used throughout for quick identification of the nutrients for the user.

iNutrients utilizes information taken from the entire USDA National Nutrient Database for each of these ten nutrients, unlike the individual apps which only cover less than 10% of what's available. Users will find the Search functionality lightning fast as all needed infromation from the USDA database is local to the app - no internet connectivity is required.

From the Search functionality the user can save information for the foods they eat each day. They are able to pick a serving size and then either record a multiple of 0.1 - 9.9 servings; or optionally create a custom serving size from 1 to 500 grams. As they change the serving size they can graphically see the the effect on the various nutrients via color coding ranging from white to black:

* Black - Extremely High
* Dark Red - Very High
* Red - High
* Orange - Moderately High
* Yellow - Moderate
* Light Green - Moderately Low
* Green - Low
* Light Blue - Very Low
* White - Extremely Low

The My Data section allows users to access up to a full year's worth of Food Serving Intake Items stored in their Personal iNutrients Database. Select any Intake Item to get the complete information available. From the display users can tap the Action button in the upper right corner to:

* Delete - Delete the current Food Serving.

* Change Number of Servings - Change the number of Servings for the current Food Intake Item.

* Change the Intake Date - Move the current Food Serving to another day. - This is extremely useful if the user wasn't able to enter what they've eaten on the day it occurred; just simply enter it and then use this function to change to the date needed.

The Customize section provides a means for users to create their own Custom Color Scale for each nutrient if desired.

This universal app shows rotating images occasionally on the right, when run on an iPad, that are representative of the 25 different Food Groups designated by the USDA. Versions of these images will typically be seen whenever a food group is identified on iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

More features are planned for upcoming future releases, especially in the areas of customization and reporting.

Specifications:
* Universal app for iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
* iOS 6.0 or later

Hollender's Life inventory apps will also be discounted during the three days of MacWorld/iWorld.

The Life Inventory apps make a great, inexpensive way to "Know Thyself". The iPad and iPhone versions are Lifestyle apps that guide users in creating their own Life Inventory, which can provide greater self-understanding of personality, strengths and weaknesses leading to a better quality of life. These apps allow the user to learn more about themselves than ever thought possible and at only a small fraction the cost of a single visit to a therapist.

What is the importance of Knowing Thyself?

To begin with, to "know thyself" means you must become conscious of your thoughts, your likes and dislikes, your prejudices, habits, memories, etc., because the more you understand yourself, the greater is your understanding of humanity as well.

Knowing your true self is when you learn to step outside of your thinking - in other words, to be the "observer"; and not caught up in your emotions and all the abovementioned aspects that make up your "persona" or "personality" as we see it here on earth.

The process of completing a Life Inventory does not directly address anyone's specific problems, habits or addictions, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life. The Life Inventory apps gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened. The questions asked help the user delve into areas often never considered before, like:

* What did I want?
* Why did I want it?
* What am I not admitting?
* What lie did I tell myself?
* What did I leave out or not say?
* What lie did I tell others?
* Have I ever done the same thing?
* Was it any of my business?
* Were my expectations reasonable?
* What was the real truth?
* What was I not seeing?
* Did I fail to see the facts of the situation?
* What actions did I take to get what I wanted?
* What actions did I omit to get what I wanted?

Life Inventory guides the user through six different steps, each with its own activity grouping, for making a Life Inventory:

* Build Lists
* Causes and Effects
* My Part
* Fears Analysis
* Fear Questions
* Sex Relations

Throughout the process, users are encouraged to enter data into their Inventory, be completely honest about themselves and take advantage of encouragement and support.

The Inventory begins by making one simple list, which defines four fixed Categories in which to file away what are broadly categorized as Incidents:

* People
* Institutions and Organizations
* Principles, Ideals and Beliefs
* Sources of Anxiety and Excitement

Each of the four Categories will contain hierarchical sub-categories. From there, users outline Entities and then individual Incidents related each Entity.

Step-by-step, users complete the Causes and Effects of each Incident. Next, users determine the part they played in each Incident listed. It is not unusual to create hundreds of Incident forms, each devoted to a single incident. The app includes the ability to create and save all written lists and forms with password protection. Having completed all their Incident forms, users can refer to these forms to help list all their Fears. The app includes the following eight pre-defined fears, to which the user is free to add:

* Other people's opinions
* Not getting what I want
* Not having control of the situation
* Financial insecurity
* Abandonment
* Physical harm
* Failure
* Success

The fifth step is examining each Fear category and answering the following key questions:

* Why did I have this fear?
* When did I first notice this fear in my life?
* How did I hold on to this fear?
* What did this fear make me do?
* What chain of circumstances did this fear set in motion in my life?
* How did I react to this fear?
* What decision did this fear cause me to make?
* How did self-reliance fail me?
* What should I have done instead?

And the sixth and final step is examining Sex Relations, where users answer all the following questions regarding each of their sexual relationships:

* How was I selfish?
* Where was I dishonest?
* Where was I inconsiderate?
* Who was hurt in this situation?
* Did I arouse jealousy, suspicion, or bitterness?
* Where was I at fault?
* What should I have done instead?
* What will I do in the future?
* Did I pray or have spiritual conversations with him/her?
* Did I pray for him/her?
* Did I enjoy his/her company?
* Did we bring each other closer to God?

"The process of completing a Life Inventory doesn't directly address anyone's specific problems, habits or addictions, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life," stated indie developer James Hollender. "The Life Inventory app gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened."

Chess Trainer named Best Training App for Beginners and Professionals - Published on 01/31/13

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Independent developer Simon Louchart announced that Web App Rater has just named Chess Trainer 2.0 the "Best Training App for Beginners and Professionals". This recognition comes with the release of the new "Learn" section of the app. Chess Trainer helps you to understand the basics of the game and helps you to progress in a fun way. Learn the strategic principles behind the right moves. Improve your tactical play with more than 2500 tactic puzzles, ordered by theme and difficulty.

Antibes, France - Independent developer Simon Louchart is proud to announce that Web App Rater has just named Chess Trainer 2.0 the "Best Training App for Beginners and Professionals". This recognition comes with the release of the new "Learn" section of the app.

"I have to honestly say that I'm surprised with how much I learned just from the first part of the lesson. From proper terminology to learning how to "read" the board, I learned more in the first few minutes of using Chess Trainer than I've ever known about the game. To me, that's pretty darn impressive!"

Sarah Hanlon, from the iPhone App Review, has been impressed, like many others, by the quality of the new version of Chess Trainer, an iPhone app that claims to revolutionize the way people learn Chess. Chess Trainer is anything but new since it has first been released on the App Store more than 2 years ago - an eternity in those fast-moving times.

According to its creator, Chess Trainer "helps you to understand the basics of the game and helps you to progress in a fun way". In its original version, random puzzles were shown to the player who had to solve them in a limited amount of time. "The original version was well received and I strongly believe it helped people to get better, but I felt that something was missing, something like an interactive teaching tool to help real beginners to start understanding what Chess is all about." Simon Louchart, the creator of the app says. The original version was good, but apparently not good enough. And for this purpose, Simon worked next to his full-time job during almost one year to release the new version of his app, with the famous new learning tool.

So, what is behind this "interactive teaching tool?" The creator of the app explains it for us: "It is like an e-book in some way, but stuffed with interactive quizzes and puzzles. That way, we are reinforcing the interaction with the user: for instance, on the middle of a chapter, we may ask the player which squares are controlled by the Rook. It is no longer a dull and boring lesson, and the player becomes really part of the learning experience. And indeed, when we navigate through the free lessons, we are often asked what move should be played, or other questions, which undoubtedly reinforces the interactivity of the lesson, making the experience funnier than learning through a book. I believe we have invented the new medium for Chess learning and teaching" the app creator says, promising us new lessons and new upcoming features. Time will tell if this vision is true or not but given his enthusiasm, it is hard not to give him the benefit of the doubt."

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 3.1.3 or later
* 7.4 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Chess Trainer 2.0 is Free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category.

Mac Businesses Save Time with New Connected Accounting Data Exchange - Published on 01/31/13

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Accountek Solutions Inc. will unveil its new Data Exchange feature during the first day of the Macworld Expo. Attendees will be among the first to see the powerful new automation feature that will replace time consuming manual tasks with a highly intelligent business management system. Administrators are able to set auto import options to enable the seamless transfer of customer orders, invoices, and other information automatically into the accounting system.

San Francisco, California - Accountek Solutions Inc., a leader in the Mac Accounting Software industry for over 20 years, will unveil its new Data Exchange feature during the first day of the Macworld Expo. Attendees will be among the first to see the powerful new automation feature that will replace time consuming manual tasks with a highly intelligent business management system.

"The new Data Exchange opens up a whole set of new integration options for Connected users", says Scott Archer, Director of Product Development. "With the large number of Filemaker Pro developers in attendance at Macworld, we felt it was the ideal event to unveil this great new feature. The integration options are endless and our design, while remaining very secure, offers the user friendly options that Mac users have come to expect from Connected Accounting."

The Data Exchange window focuses entirely on the automation of moving data in and out of the Connected Accounting & ERP application. Administrators are able to set auto import options to enable the seamless transfer of customer orders, invoices, and other information automatically into the accounting system.

Additionally, data can be configured to be exported from Connected on an interval basis or on demand. "There is a need for businesses to be able to efficiently update other locations, such as a global head office", Scott explains. "The new Data Exchange feature allows current customer invoice details or critical information for an analytical database to be exported once per day or once per hour without human intervention."

Some of the additional advancements, found in Connected Accounting & ERP version 7.1, which is displayed on the "First Looks Wall" onsite at Macworld 2013 are:

* New Expense Report Import that enables customers to minimize the task of managing expense reports. Employees enter their expense reports using any iOS or cloud-based application that allows a customized export to be created. The expense details can then be easily imported and viewed in Connected's Expense Reports window.
* Vendor Electronic Payment enhancements that include the option to auto number EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) transactions and export EFT transactions to financial institutions for disbursement to vendors. Connected simplifies the transition to cost effective electronic payments by enabling users to email payment advices to their suppliers with the full invoice settlement details, either individually or as a batch.
* Customizable label forms for printing inventory item labels, including bar code fonts, lets the receiving department print labels with lot and serial numbers, while processing the incoming shipment. This new print feature is highly beneficial for inventory based companies whose goods are purchased from offshore with labels displayed in a foreign language or have limited information.
* Additional features included in the version 7.1 release can be found at Accountek online.

Accountek Solutions Inc. will be exhibiting the Connected Accounting & ERP software at Macworld 2013 from January 31 to February 2 in the Mac OS X Appalooza Pavilion, Moscone Centre.
