It's Not Too Late to Improve Quality of Life by Learning About Yourself - Published on 01/21/13
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Indie developer James Hollender's Life Inventory apps make a great, inexpensive way to improve your quality of life. The iPad and iPhone versions are Lifestyle apps that guide users in creating their own Life Inventory, which can provide greater self understanding of personality, strengths and weaknesses leading to a better quality of life. These apps allow the user to learn more about themselves than ever thought possible and at only a small fraction the cost of a single visit to a therapist.
Revere, Massachusetts - Indie developer James Hollender's Life Inventory apps make a great, inexpensive way to improve your quality of life. The iPad and iPhone versions are Lifestyle apps that guide users in creating their own Life Inventory, which can provide greater self-understanding of personality, strengths and weaknesses leading to a better quality of life. These apps allow the user to learn more about themselves than ever thought possible and at only a small fraction the cost of a single visit to a therapist.
Come see the developer at MacWorld/iWorld January 31st - February 2nd in San Francisco at the Moscone Center. Life Inventory will be featured in the Appalooza Booth, 718, along with his newest iOS app, "iNutrients" which will provide instant access to the entire USDA National Nutrient Database ... 8,194 different foods and 14,162 different food servings for 10 nutrients: Calories, Carbohydrates, Dietary Cholesterol, Fiber, Potassium, Proteins, Saturated Fat, Sodium, Sugars and Vitamin K.
The process of completing a Life Inventory does not directly address anyone's specific problems, habits or addictions, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life. The Life Inventory apps gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened. The questions asked help the user delve into areas often never considered before, like:
* What did I want?
* Why did I want it?
* What am I not admitting?
* What lie did I tell myself?
* What did I leave out or not say?
* What lie did I tell others?
* Have I ever done the same thing?
* Was it any of my business?
* Were my expectations reasonable?
* What was the real truth?
* What was I not seeing?
* Did I fail to see the facts of the situation?
* What actions did I take to get what I wanted?
* What actions did I omit to get what I wanted?
Life Inventory guides the user through six different steps, each with its own activity grouping, for making a Life Inventory:
* Build Lists
* Causes and Effects
* My Part
* Fears Analysis
* Fear Questions
* Sex Relations
Throughout the process, users are encouraged to enter data into their Inventory, be completely honest about themselves and take advantage of encouragement and support.
The Inventory begins by making one simple list, which defines four fixed Categories in which to file away what are broadly categorized as Incidents:
* People
* Institutions and Organizations
* Principles, Ideals and Beliefs
* Sources of Anxiety and Excitement
Each of the four Categories will contain hierarchical sub-categories. From there, users outline Entities and then individual Incidents related each Entity.
Step-by-step, users complete the Causes and Effects of each Incident. Next, users determine the part they played in each Incident listed. It is not unusual to create hundreds of Incident forms, each devoted to a single incident. The app includes the ability to create and save all written lists and forms with password protection. Having completed all their Incident forms, users can refer to these forms to help list all their Fears. The app includes the following eight pre-defined fears, to which the user is free to add:
* Other people's opinions
* Not getting what I want
* Not having control of the situation
* Financial insecurity
* Abandonment
* Physical harm
* Failure
* Success
The fifth step is examining each Fear category and answering the following key questions:
* Why did I have this fear?
* When did I first notice this fear in my life?
* How did I hold on to this fear?
* What did this fear make me do?
* What chain of circumstances did this fear set in motion in my life?
* How did I react to this fear?
* What decision did this fear cause me to make?
* How did self-reliance fail me?
* What should I have done instead?
And the sixth and final step is examining Sex Relations, where users answer all the following questions regarding each of their sexual relationships:
* How was I selfish?
* Where was I dishonest?
* Where was I inconsiderate?
* Who was hurt in this situation?
* Did I arouse jealousy, suspicion, or bitterness?
* Where was I at fault?
* What should I have done instead?
* What will I do in the future?
* Did I pray or have spiritual conversations with him/her?
* Did I pray for him/her?
* Did I enjoy his/her company?
* Did we bring each other closer to God?
"The process of completing a Life Inventory doesn't directly address anyone's specific problems, habits or addictions, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life," stated indie developer James Hollender. "The Life Inventory app gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened."

* iKals (Calories)
* iProteins (Proteins)
* iSatFat (Saturated Fat)
* iSodium (Sodium)
* iSugars (Sugars)

New sleep cycle alarm clock: Very easy to use - Requires no sensors - Published on 01/21/13
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Stress Free Alarm Clock app is a new sensor-free sleep cycle alarm clock that will reliably and gently wake you during your light sleep phase. The patented method does not require any motion sensors or any acustic sensors and is very easy to use. A new study (National Research Centre for the Working Environment, Denmark) shows that even the wake-up call of conventional alarm clocks puts our body under unhealthy stress. Now there is an end to this!
Hannover, Germany - Stress begins in the Morning. Do not use conventional alarm clocks. It harms your health. A new study (National Research Centre for the Working Environment, Copenhagen, Denmark) shows that even the wake-up call of a conventional alarm clock puts our body under unhealthy stress. The concentration of the stress hormone "Cortisol" is more than double compared to when you wake up by yourself. So, you should use a sleep cycle alarm clock. Use the best one.
The new "Stress Free Alarm Clock - App" for Android ($ 0.99) and iOs ($ 0.89) wakes you at a moment when you're already almost awake. It does not need any sensors, no motion sensors, no acoustic sensors like other sleep cycle alarm clocks. It wakes you definitely in your light sleep phase. Then your brain is already active and in a state similar to when you wake up by yourself. New study results: The concentration of the stress hormone Cortisol was tested under various waking conditions: waking both on workdays and on a free day with a conventional alarm clock and waking spontaneously.
The results showed that the Cortisol levels in the first 30 minutes after waking with a conventional alarm clock had risen by an average of 100% - regardless of whether it was a workday or a free day. When the probands woke spontaneously, however, the concentration of Cortisol rose only 39%. This means, conventional alarm clocks induce allmost three times more unhealthy stress in the morning. To provide good and healthy sleep, keep stress and cortisol levels healthy and under control.
A clinical neuroscientist developed and patented the innovative adaptive Stress Free Alarm Clock - App" for Android ($ 0.99) and iOS ($ 0.89). Compared to conventional alarm clocks, the new "Stress Free Alarm Clock - App" gives an individual wake up, which adapts itself to the users' particular needs within a few nights. This patented alarm clock leads to a gentle and stress free wake up. Sudden, abrupt waking in the morning as with loud, conventional alarm clocks and the associated release of stress hormones from the adrenal gland will be avoided by using this novel and intelligent self adapting, personal sleep cycle alarm clock.
Health benefits are weight loss, stress reduction, increase of skeletal muscle mass, pain reduction, enhanced male virility, enhanced erectile function, improvement of cognitive performance, improvement of fatigue, chronic fatigue and better general health and physical fitness."Stress Free Alarm Clock - App" is very easy to use. In order to be woken up smoothly, sleepers will be guided from the deep sleep phase or dream phase into the light sleep phase by gentle sounds.
Unlike the hitherto existing sleep cycle alarm clocks "Stress Free Alarm Clock - App" does not require any additional implement such as wristband motion sensors, sound sensors or movement sensors. Users simply set their desired wake up time. After waking up, they merely slide a finger across the screen to stop the alarm. Everything else is taken care of by the patented and intelligent system.
Device Requirements for iOs:
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 3.1.3 or later
* 0.6 MB
Pricing and Availability:
Stress Free Alarm Clock 1.1 is $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Health & Fitness category. It is also available for Android.
