as far as I know, no, you must update the OS and have Windows XP installed in your BootCamp partition. Fresh install will not allow you to run XP under MountainLion with a fresh install.

Hi Brent;

As far as I know, 10.8 can only create a Win 7 Bootcamp installation.
I've not tried restoring an XP image, so I can't answer that part, sorry.

I've found the support folks at Twocanoes to be helpful - it might be
worth checking with them.

What happens is clean install, installs an updated version of boot camp that will not run XP. If you do a regular install and have a boot camp partition, it does not update boot camp and leaves your win partition along. And that's the truth.

As Jim said, the vast majority of keyboard shortcuts are the same; you just
use the Command key instead of the Ctrl key.

So these do what ctrl-z and ctrl-a do in Windows.

Note that there are 2 Command keys: one each side of the space bar. Use
whichever is easier to reach.

If you want a list of keyboard shortcuts, go to
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/macsupportcentral/files/Keyboard/>
and click those zips to download them. Open the zips and then double-click
the files to read them.

It seems that the *first* Extreme BS had only one LAN port. A mystifying
decision that must've hugely limited sales IMO.

When do they (usually) announce new models of Macs?
Yes, I know I'm asking for spec & rumors, but they do have a history of when
they "normally"; have done things.
Thanks.
