"All My Files" is a bog-standard Apple "smart folder".

Click on it to fill the window with all your files, then right-click on it to get to "Show Search Criteria"

Change "Kind is Document" to "Kind is Image"

Click Save, and save the altered search as "All My Images".

When you double-click on that, you will instantly get a window with all your images.

I didn't see any "Save" button, but choosing "Kind is image" seemed to clear up the whole thing. That was just great. Thank you so much.

It's been a while since I tried Picasa, but I'm sure it gave you the choice
of cataloguing *and* copying, or just cataloguing, the photos it finds.

iPhoto 8 (came with iLife 09) has the option
Preferences > Advanced > Copy items to the iPhoto Library
which gives the same choice. I think earlier versions also had that option,
but I don't know about later ones.

I stand corrected.

Actually no. Parallels and Fusion are virtualizers. BootCamp allows you to boot right into Windows. Since the Mac now uses the same Intel processor as the PC it is no big deal to get it to run Windows.

It may be that your local cable is over-saturated. If you aren't receiving the speeds that you have contracted for, you should complain.

But try the things that I suggested first.

I just leave that field blank, and my computer just fills it in itself.

Mail doesn't come with this feature, but it can be implemented with an AppleScript.

You can find a script here:

If you work in a law firm, you might like to be on this discussion list:

Macs In Law Offices (MILO)
http://groups.google.com/group/milogroup

Of course, I could answer your questions here. ;-)
But on MILO you would have a bunch of attorneys to answer your questions, instead of just me.
