Anyone know anything about that? I know it's not a yahoo group but don't know where else to ask. All of a sudden I'm getting emails from them and I didn't sign up for them. There's nothing in it about leaving, unsubscribing etc. Thanks for any info on it.

Yes, I'm getting these messages too. I am just filtering them directly
into my spam folder.

Yes, a Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware of the dark side.
Anger, fear, aggression; the dark side of the Force are they. Easily they
flow, quick to join you in a fight. If once you start down the dark path,
forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will, as it did
Obi-Wan's apprentice. *Yoda*

It's not legit, of course. It's possible that we've had either had a bot scraping the RSS feed (disabled now in 2013) or a mole member collecting email addresses. They send spam from a similar-sounding name and many will believe it's something they need to read. Of course, as you recognized, spammers usually do a very poor job of that. For one, none of our posts are ever sourced from a blog.

So far, I've received two of these "New Blog Entry" messages, both yesterday, and that's it.

I report all spam to its sending host, and all hosts linked in the message body, (automatically) to Spamcop.net. If I get more, I'll report those too. I encourage everyone to do the same.

I also report through the use of spamcop.net. It does work to reduce spam. I used to get 30 out of 100 emails as spam now I get 2 out of 100 if any.
