Is the iPod Touch restricted to being used with WIFI only? I've never understood the Touch.
I love my other iPods and wonder if I am missing something not having a iPod Touch.

Yes, it is restricted to WIFI. But you can do so much more with the touch. It does everything the IPhone does except make regular calls. I love mine.

With Skype and a internet connection, you can make calls.

Have a file of songs that a friend's group sung. Had no problems, putting the
songs in iTunes and playing then. But on the cover of the file it said unknown
artist. How do I put the name of the band and a picture of the group in beside
were they have albums. Itune does say search in itune for Albun Cover, but this
is for know groups, not a local band.

Depending on what version of iTunes you have on mine right click on the song
choose get info a box with come up with tabs, artwork has a window where
you can drag
a photo, like 640x640 or something like that size
the info tab you can add the other data you want.
not too hard once you get the hang of it.

BJ – What tends to happen is when you have to get a new computer, as the old one is 8 years old and costs more to fix, than replace, you end up with a different operating system on your new computer, that isn't compatible with a 5th Generation iPod Classic. I only got my 5th Generation iPod about a year ago. So sometimes the reason you can't use a device isn't because you want it to do something more than it's capable of. My van is 13 years old and still functions too, and I still have use of an older TV, but one day, the cable system will change something that will make that TV obsolete, as it already happened to one of our older ones. Things quit working when the electronics that feeds it ceases to exist. I've had two wonderful cell phones, that had to be replaced because AT&T upgraded their towers, and my old phones wouldn't work anymore. So that's happened twice to me with cell phones. I only had them about a year, each. So this is something that happens easily through no control of your own. I'm glad you haven't had to experience this yet.

Connie

Really?
My 10-yr old TV works just fine.
My 5 yr old iPod works just fine.
So do my (I forget -- 5-8 anyway) DVRs.

No, they can't do all the latest gee-whiz stuff but they haven't suddenly
developed dementia so they can't do what they've always done.

My car still gets me places & carries cargo, & it's past its tenth birthday
too. However, it does not have built-in GPS, TV, Bluetooth, all-mod-cons,
etc. none of which really interest me. (It does have air bags & heated
seats, which do.)

You only "need" to buy new stuff if the old stuff either quits working or
you ***CHOOSE*** to get something with all the newer bells & whistles.

FYI – Since I mentioned here that my new Samsung Smart phone that wouldn't work, just to let you know, I called Straight Talk to cancel the service, because my new phone wouldn't work and they wouldn't replace it. I told them I was going with Verizon and was going to get a new phone. LOL, then they decided they would go ahead and replace it for me. The guy had in his computer all the times I called about the touch screen not working. Guess that's the way I should have handled it 4 months ago.

Connie

I'm really upset that my new Samsung smart phone hasn't worked since the day I got it. The touch screen doesn't respond.
