Thanks to Facebook integration you can immediately begin a game with a friend and start by choosing one of three words. Once you submit your cleverly worded clue your friend will be able to solve it by choosing letters from a 12 tile board, and if the clue is too difficult, they can easily post a screenshot to Facebook (the 'Facebook a Friend' lifeline) or use one of three helpful power-ups. Once solved they will choose a word and submit a clue back. You will then be able to watch a quick, entertaining replay of their turn and move on to solving the clue they crafted for you.

With the wide range of inside jokes and references between friends there's no limit to the fun you can have sharing and solving word puzzles back and forth especially given the asynchronous play model which allows each player to play at their own convenience.

Luckily for all the word game lovers out there, Can't Say That! plans on launching with thousands of words and then continually adding hundreds more for free every month. If this doesn't satiate you hunger for more words, the app also allows players to purchase challenging, category-specific word packs with the in-game currency they earn.

Ape Entertainment to Develop Comic Series for Fruit Ninja - Published on 07/12/12

Ape Entertainment plans to release the full-color comic book series digitally through a standalone Fruit Ninja comics app on the App Store.

San Diego, California - Ape Entertainment, developers of the massively popular Pocket God Comics and Cut the Rope: Comic, along with Halfbrick Studios, developers of Fruit Ninja, announced a new licensing agreement to create a series of original digital comic books and graphic novels based on the game that has been downloaded over 300 million times. The comic series will explore the yet untold backstory of the juicy Fruit Ninja universe and its new colorful characters.

The Adventures of Retrobot game offers intense tank shooter action, epic boss battles and is supercharged with a story about a DIY robot built as a gaming buddy who's out to save his maker from the evil robots who've taken over the world. The tale is brought to life through The Active Reader technology, which allows for interactive and "active" comic story panels. Adding in a bit of slapstick video game humor, Retrobot and sidekick Toto's tale is filled with events that will remind any gamer of their fondest gaming moments.

A Streamlined And Appealing Experience
With an overhaul to the Spear and Bomb randomization droppers, Survival mode will now present players with more of a challenge without the feeling of an easily overcome predictability. In Game achievement banners now display the name of the achievement unlocked and the Achievements menu will also display a tally of the number of achievements you have unlocked out of the potential 35.

Wrackle 1.1 for iOS - A Quick Twist on Word Search Games - Published on 07/12/12

Franklin, Tennessee - Cullaboration Media announces the release of Wrackle 1.1, a new twist on word search and word find games for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Wrackle combines the spelling of Boggle and the game play of Bejeweled to create a fast paced, brain challenging game. Players are given a six by six grid of letters and must find as many words as they can in 1 minute. Words may be selected up, down, left or right and letters may be swapped to help spell words. When a correctly spelled word is selected, those letters are removed from the board and replaced with new letters. Single and multiplayer options make Wrackle addictive to both the causal and competitive game player.

"By combining aspects of Boggle and Bejeweled, Wrackle makes you think quickly and plan ahead", says Matt Johnston, co-founder of Cullaboration Media. "Don't let the simplicity of the game fool you, trying to find words quickly can be challenging, especially with time running out."

Single player mode includes 100 game boards that players incrementally unlock. High scores and achievements are posted to Game Center when available. Single player games are played in two variations: Dash and Survival. In Dash, players have one minute to find as many words as they can. In Survival, extra time is added to the game clock for each correctly spelled word.

Besides single player mode, Wrackle offers two multiplayer options: Two Player Games and a Daily Challenge. Two Player games allow friends to challenge each other and play the same game board to see who gets the highest score. In the Daily Challenge, all Wrackle users play the same board and try to reach the top of the daily leader board. The players who rank in the top 5 for the day split credits from a progressive jackpot.

Gulpies 2.0 for iOS - An Action Puzzle Game with Furry Animals - Published on 07/12/12

Totmob, a division of Kinetics, announces Gulpies 2.0 for iOS. In this game there's a constant stream of food falling into the mouths of player's three pets. To make things harder, each pet will only eat one food type: fruit and vegetables, candy or meat. It's up to the player to switch the food around and keep everyone happy. The game allows players to share their progress on Facebook, and the icon shared is specific to the level attained.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Totmob, a division of Kinetics, is pleased to announce Gulpies 2.0 for iOS. In this game, Totmob has created interesting puzzle mechanics that are reminiscent of Tetris. At the bottom of the screen are lined up three different sorts of animals, each with different food requirements. Greeno is a vegetarian, Pinko eats candy and Red is a carnivore. The food that falls is rendered in a detailed and realistic way, and the player has to rearrange it so that each animal eats the right kind of food. If an animal eats the wrong foodstuff, a crate gets placed under him, but you can get rid of the crate by swiping 2 or more correct items down into the animal's mouth.

Ever so often, as you move though the levels, the background changes, making it easier to identify advanced levels. The game allows you to share your progress on Facebook, and the icon you share is specific to the level you've attained.

The animal characters are imaginary and have a fairly original look and are rendered in the Manga style. The gameplay has been tuned to allow a new player to have fun from the very start. The pace picks up gently but surely in level after level.

Little Digits is a fun educational app that teaches children about numbers by putting a new spin on finger counting.

Using the iPad multi-touch screen, Little Digits displays number characters by detecting how many fingers you put down. Children can learn to associate the number on the screen with the number of fingers they place down, whilst enjoying the unique characters and animations of the Little Digits world.

There are also games that introduce small addition and subtraction calculations, where you can work out the answer using the same multi-touch finger detection.
