Featuring high-quality and fun illustrations that help increase retention, children will learn the basic words for each category and will hear the audio of the word in Konkow. The initial release includes 6 categories that are numbers, body parts and more.
Phoenix, Arizona - TinkR' Labs today is pleased to introduce the Konkow Toddler 1.0, its new educational app developed exclusively for the Apple's iOS family of products. Konkow Toddler is an engaging interactive app that includes flash cards and a game for children to become familiar with the Konkow language. Initial release includes 6 categories that are numbers, food, body parts, animals, colors and phrases. Children will learn the basic words for each category and will hear the audio of the word in Konkow dialect.
Konkow is a dialect of the Maiduan Language. The recordings was provided by Kyle McHenry of the Mechoopda tribe. Majority of the audio recordings within the toddler app was recorded in the 1940s by Emma Cooper. Currently, the Konkow language is considered severely endangered.
