The more you advance from one level to another, the game will give you a handful of obstacles to overcome and more.
Kaluga, Russian Federation - Independent developer Stanislav Fedorov today is proud to announce the release of Twisted Ways 1.0, his new puzzle game developed for iOS devices. Twisted Ways was created to feed the most strategy and logic cravers among the pool of players. While seemingly easy at first sight, the game will give you a handful of obstacles to overcome, the more you advance from one level to another. This stimulating game app is set to challenge your rational and analytical skills all the way and have you think twice before making the next move.
Picture you are walking on sky-high blocks and your life depends on every move you make. Your character, a kangaroo, can move from one block to another until it reaches the ladder that will take him to the next level. Easy as it sounds, it's about to get tougher. These blocks have arrows on them and, while you can step on the blocks from either side, the block can twist 90 or 180 degrees left or right. The degree of the twist is given by the color of the block (orange-no rotation, green-90 degrees right, yellow-180 degrees right, blue-90 degrees left).
Twisted Ways is "an awesome entertainment for the brain as it makes you double think every new step you're about to make. For the ones passionate about puzzle and strategy games, Twisted Ways will surely challenge you in so many unexpected ways. The most amusing part of the final development stages was when I had friends try it. After watching the demo video, they set off thinking it's going to be pretty easy. Soon enough, the situation took a twist and they were having difficulties passing levels without making a strategy or pondering before their next move", says Stanislav Fedorov, the app developer.

Over a hundred magical creatures dwell in this monster-filled world, waiting for the day their owners arrive. These monsters can be battled and captured, bred and blessed.
Haypi Monster is a two-in-one game that combines strategy with luck. Each monster belongs to one of eight element types and certain elements have advantages over others. A rock-type monster like Blocky experiences a two-fold power increase when fighting an electric-type monster like Fright. When encountering the plant-type Bloom, however, Blocky becomes extremely vulnerable.
Each monster can have up to four skills at a time, and these skills are divided into attack skills and supplementary skills. Attack skills do varying amounts of damage while supplementary skills can heal a monster, temporarily increase its stats, or even put the opponent monster to sleep. Players have to muster all of their game knowledge in order to be the best, whether it be through PVE challenges or the PVP Arena.
Luck comes into play during PVE challenges. Players enter each game level by hopping along a dice board and landing on one of five different squares: a treasure square, a buff square, a portal square, a discount sale square, and a battle square. Each square a player lands on can make or break their final boss fight, which, if completed, grants the player a spin of the Rewards wheel for incredible prizes like breeding potions and synthesis scrolls.
Tens of thousands of players from all around the world have poured into Haypi Monster. In just a short period, Haypi Monster has filled 26 global servers and 21 domestic servers with players who are busily battling, collecting, and breeding their new monsters. Haypi Monster's hundreds of activities and its colorful design certainly make it appealing for any avid gamer.

Edinburgh, Scotland - RunRev announced that the company's campaign on Kickstarter to create a next generation, free and open source edition of the award winning LiveCode programming environment passed 50% funding. The campaign has been backed by prominent industry figures including Steve Wozniak, Apple co-founder and Robert Cailliau, co-developer of the WWW.
Cory Doctorow, Sci-fi author and blogger said "I loved Hypercard, and have been impressed by Runtime Revolution. A free/open version (they're promising GPLv3) would be a serious force for good on earth."
Industrial Toys, a startup by co-Creator of popular game Halo, have just announced a new interactive graphic novel for iOS, Morning Star Alpha, created in LiveCode. In backing the LiveCode Next Generation project, Tim Harris, president of Industrial Toys, said: "Everything has turned out nice and smooth. We couldn't be happier."
Support has been received from the educational sector. Kate Farrell, chair of Computing At School Scotland said: "I am delighted that RunRev are doing this Kickstarter campaign. ... As a nation we are facing a difficult situation for Computing in schools. ... Having LiveCode will help teachers teach programming in a more engaging way ... pupils can put their programs onto their phones and ... publish them to the world rather than learning and achievement being trapped in the classroom...LiveCode being open source WILL made a difference in our schools!"
In the last few days, RunRev created a proof of concept port of LiveCode to the Raspberry Pi to further improve the utility of the platform in schools.
Kevin Miller, CEO of RunRev said "It's been incredible to see the community rally around our quest to take the platform to the next level and also go open source. We're really excited at the way the campaign is helping to bring Next Generation LiveCode to a much broader audience."
With six days left to run, the company stated that "this is a nail biting finish to an ambitious project". If successful, this will be the largest total for a UK technology project raised on Kickstarter to date.

This new title is available from the iTunes Store, Google Play, and Amazon Kindle marketplaces from February 21. There is a freemium version of the book, or users can download the full version of Good Night, Little Rainbow Fish at a cost of $2.99/1.99 USD.
Good Night, Little Rainbow Fish is based on the bestselling and award winning Rainbow Fish series of books, the first of which was written by Pfister and published by NorthSouth Books in 1992.
Since then, Pfister's books have seen sales of over 30 million, with the titles translated in 50 languages for sale around the world. The Rainbow Fish books were later turned into a successful television series, which has aired on HBO in the United States since 1999. This title follows the story of Little Rainbow Fish and his quest for a good night's sleep.
Good Night, Little Rainbow Fish is aimed at children who have not yet started reading, as well as those who have only recently began to develop their reading skills, such as those who have or are soon to start school.

San Francisco, California - Independent developer, Chad Sager, announces Lotus Bud - Meditation Timer 1.5, an update to the meditation timers, with new features to support a strong, healthy, lasting meditation practice.
Goals allows a user to set up a Challenge or an Ongoing goal which presents an easy to read chart, showing a user their progress. Options to integrate with the Apple's Reminders app and auto-incrementing the meditation time help to build a strong meditation practice.
There are four ways to meditate: Timed, to count down a specific number of minutes; Until, to end at a specific time and; Untimed, for the times a user wants to stretch their meditation muscles. For more structure users can create a retreat with multiple sessions. This allows them to alternate between different meditations like sitting and walking, just like an actual meditation retreat.
Timeline shows a heat-map that changes color based on how consistent the practice is, to put their larger efforts in perspective.
"I created Lotus Bud to help with the difficult task of establishing and maintaining a meditation practice that embodied the simplicity I found in meditation. This is the app I wanted for myself, and know others will feel the same," says Chad Sager, Lotus Bud developer and designer.
