Sydney, Australia - After you have a party, if you don't have an official photographer, you commonly spend the next few weeks asking your friends for all the photos they took while they were there. This is a long and painful process, and you often don't get all the photos. Even if you do have an official photographer, it's nearly impossible to capture all the moment's, and it's not particularly social.
Muro aims to solve the problem of photo fragmentation at events and has 3 main features, all of which are free of charge. The iPhone app, allows you to "check in" to a nearby event, see all of the photos there, contribute, and also see what your friends are doing (with Facebook integration). The live interactive slideshow, typically displayed on a large TV or projector is an optional extra, but one which drives more engagement, and spices up any event by displaying photos the instant they are taken. Once the event is over, the host can log in to the website and download all the images in one go, or simply just view the online album.
Muro has been part of the new Startup Incubator program, INCUBATE, which has been running throughout the summer at the University of Sydney, it is the first on campus incubator program of it's kind in the Asia/Pacific Region. INCUBATE provides the University of Sydney students, researchers and recent alumni with the exciting opportunity to realise high-potential startups on campus.
Muro has a large variety of use cases, from Weddings to Nightclubs, and has been successfully used at professional events to connect new business relationships. As well as connecting people on social media, Muro is also a great conversation starter to get people interacting with one another at your event. The goal of the game is deceptively simple: Twist hexagons to arrange colours in a specific pattern. The "peep" displays at the bottom of the screen details the appropriate pattern. Strategy and a bit of madness are necessary to arrange all of the gems correctly.
Two special gems are included in the game to tantalize and confound even the greatest gamers. The 'skull' gem is actually a time bomb that must be defused in a set number of moves. Defuse the 'skull' by surrounding it with six of the same colour gems. 'Skull' gems are further complicated by the fact you cannot move them, only the surrounding gems. Real strategy and skill is necessary to defuse these ticking time bombs. The 'Chain' gem locks hexagons into a set position, rendering them unmoveable.
Make it through the first 20 levels is difficult enough, the last 10 are almost impossible. You will be amazed at the difficulty of HEX IT. HEX IT is not responsible for your insomnia while trying to best any of the last ten levels.
