I like to put audiobook CDs on my iPhone by importing them onto my iTunes library on my computer. But when I do that, and designate the files as an audiobook, the files arrange themselves in order of tracks, so that all the track 1s for each CD are together. I don't seem to be able to move the tracks around so that they are arranged (as they are under the Music section) by disk number and then track. Anyone have any idea how to rearrange tracks in an audiobook?

Under LIBRARY in top left corner of the iTunes window, click on BOOKS.
DO NOT click in your DEVICES area for now.
See the choices at top: Audiobooks, Books, PDFs, Author, List?
Click on LIST.
See the list of audio tracks?
Arrange them by either: Name, Date added, etc.
Select one track or multiples (track+Apple Key) or (Shift+Track)
Then APPLE KEY+I
Edit the info window of the track(s) you selected.
I change order sometimes by changing the name of the track, or the track number itself.
You can also change other information in this edit window, especially EQUALIZER setting.
Then OK the edit info window.
Finish by making sure the Book is sync'd w the iPhone once more, under DEVICES.

Howdy.
Try checking to see if you "rotated" or turned on a different keyboard
in the Input tab of the Language & Text panel in System Preferences.
The keyboard command Command Spacebar rotates forward to the next
keyboard/language while Option Command Spacebar goes backward.
Sometimes folks hit these keys accidentally.

Dan,
I hadn't thought of that one. But no, that didn't change the symptoms.

Howdy.
Well, worth a try anyway.
This seems like a good thing for having a "Test" user account on your
Mac. I have one for stuff like this. If you haven't already done this
. . . . .
Open System Preferences > Users & Groups.
Be sure you are logged in as an Admin user.
Then create a new user account and designate it as an Admin level
account. Many folks including myself use the name Test for this type
of account.
Then log out (shouldn't need to shut down) of your usual account and
log in to the Test account.
See what happens with the problematic keyboard.
If it behaves OK in the Test account and works, then that's a very good
indication that the problem is something corrupted in your usual user
account. If that's the case, I'd start by doing the usual suite of
maintenance things including booting in Safe Disk Mode and then using a
maintenance utility like OnyX to delete all cache files.
Good luck.

Open your contact app.
Go to file in the on your menu bar.
Create a new contact group (give it a name).
Go to All Contacts and start dragging the contacts that you want in that group, to that group.
That is all there is to it. Once you put all the contacts that you wanted in that group, you can click on that group and they should be the only ones there in that group.

I was thinking about purchasing a second power cord for my 2012 Non-Retina 11 inch MacBook Pro. It uses a 60W power brick with the first series of connector.
Apple sells them in Canada for $79 plus tax. Ouch. My main power brick is plugged into my power conditioner upstairs in my place and frankly it is a pain to unplug it and move it around so I was thinking about buying a second one to use downstairs instead of constantly draining my battery.
For that price it is not really worth it for me. Does anyone know of a reliable and less-expensive third party option?
I would appreciate the references.
Thanks.

Hmmm?
Apple has never made an 11-inch Macbook Pro.
Do you mean the 11-inch Macbook Air, or the 13-inch Macbook Pro?

I am running 10.5.8 on my G5 Quad ppc.
I bought a 480gb ssd, thinking it would boot much faster than my current
500gb sata. My computer does not recognize the drive when it is installed
internally.
I was able to clone it with no problem using an external drive dock and
SuperDuper! It registers as an external drive when connected via eSata.
The drive is not recognized when installed internally by DiskUtility or by
System Profiler.
What am I doing wrong?

I have a MacBookPro (2.54 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB 1967 MHz DDr3) using
10.8.2.
Is there any way to change the date on a photo permanently? I am scanning
old photos and would like them to be chronologically arranged in iPhoto.
But if I then export one of these it reverts back to original name and scan
date. Is there something I'm missing?
Is there other software available that does this?
Thanks,
Doris
